Garden Wishes & the Stitched With Whimsy Dies

 Hi there everyone!  Well...we had a couple of fun snow days (that we were able to call distance learning days...YAY) and we're back to school today!  Just in time for the weekend!  The snow is melting but another storm is on its way...I hope we get lots more!  

Here's a card that we created in my January classes and if you made a purchase of $50 or more this month you'll be getting it along with the other cards and monthly gift sometime next week!  I LOVE the Stitched with Whimsy Dies! They leave the cutest stitching without cutting the cardstock!  SO CUTE!!! I also used the Garden Wishes stamp set to heat emboss the dandelion with white Stampin' Emboss Powder.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set and is cut with the Double Oval Punch.  The colors I used are Bumblebee, Basic Black and Basic White.  It's a clean and simple...but kind of elegant card, especially with the addition of the Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.  I hope you'll give it a try!

It’s HOT CHOCOLATE & SWEATER WEATHER!

Hello everyone! We had a delightful snow storm and we are distance learning so my daughter, Kate is home! My husband, Dan is a retired power lineman so he is home!  This is the first BIG STORM he’s been home for in almost 17 years!  It’s wonderful having them both here! Just wanted to share a few pictures from our home and around my little mountain town!  YES!  That’s a snowman in the middle of the road! It’s not just a road though, it’s Highway 299, the same highway that we shut down for our Fourth of July Parade and our Homecoming parade! I love where I live!!!  I’ll be back to share more INSPIRATION tomorrow...today I’m just gonna enjoy family!!

PPP Blog Hop - Sending Hearts

 

Hello everyone and welcome to tonight's Paper Pumpkins Possibilities Blog Hop!  The January kit is so cute!  I had a lot of fun creating with it!

First, I cut one card base into two card tops and use my Hippo & Friends dies to cut the center out of each one.  I backed it with Poppy Parade cardstock and heat embossed the hearts using the stamp set included in the kit!  

I used the cut out piece to make a cute little Chap Stick holder simply by scoring at the two points and punching a couple of holes in the top!  I held the Chap Stick in place with Stampin' Dimensionals, added some ribbon and linen thread and stamped a Be Mine, also with the included stamp in Poppy Parade ink

After heat embossing the hearts to the card front, I attached it to the Basic White card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I also heat embossed the word YOU (using the same stamp set) and attached it to the LOVE with Stampin' Seal+ adhesive.  I added some black and white thread from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack, fraying it at one end then attached the LOVE YOU sentiment to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals and added some epoxy hearts that (also included in the kit)!  

The cool thing about these projects is that you can make twice as many cards alongwith a sweet little gift for that someone special!

Tuesday's Tip - Beveled Frames

Hello Everyone!  It's lunch time here, it's snowing and it's STICKING! I'm so excited!  It's suppose to be a big storm but usually when there's a lot of hype it doesn't come to fruition!  I'm hoping for a snow day at school tomorrow so I can spend the day with my girl and her dad!  Anyway....it's time for this weeks Tuesday's Tip video!  This tip is really fun and will add so much to your projects!  I hope you enjoy it and find a moment to give it a try! "Make-It Monday" Pretty Perennials

Hello there! Welcome to Monday and today's "Make-It Monday" tutorial!  Today was my last day to submit a tutorial for one of my tutorial groups, so I spent the morning creating the card and typing out the directions!  I LOVE IT and thought it would be fun to share today!  I hope it inspires your creative side!  ENJOY!

Measurements: 

·         Whisper White:         8 ½” x 5 ½” scored at 4 ¼”  

·         Pool Party:                3 ¾” x 5”

·         Specialty Paper:       3 ½” x 4 ¾”

·         Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape & Basic White: scraps

           

Instructions:

1.      Adhere Mercury Glass Designer Acetate to Pool Party cardstock with Mini Glue Dots (in strategic places).

2.      Cut the sentiment frame with the Stitched So Sweetly dies using Basic White cardstock and stamp “happy” in Bermuda Bay ink.

3.      Punch a hole on each end of frame and thread Sheer Pool Party Ribbon through the holes (behind frame) and attach to acetate with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Tie ribbon into a bow then tie a triple bow (three strands) using Linen Thread around the Sheer Ribbon bow.

4.      Attach card front to Basic White card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

5.      Using the Perennial Petal dies cut one flower from a scrap piece of Highland Heather cardstock and one flower from a scrap piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock.  Attach flowers to card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and add Opal Rounds to each center.

6.      Stamp birthday sentiment onto a scrap piece of Basic Black cardstock using VersaMark and heat emboss with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and Heat Tool. Attach sentiment to card front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Corner Bouquet & Approaching Perfection SAB Stamp Sets

Hi there everyone!  Oh my goodness!!! I am so tired!  I helped my husband all day (except for a brief break while I created today's card)!  He worked me hard!  He cut down a few dead trees and brush and I helped drag the branches to the burn pile he'd started!  We have a yellow lab named Millie (she's One In a Million) and she just wanted to play fetch.  I must have thrown the ball 50 times.  She also loves to steal our firewood and spread it around the yard.  She's in cahoots with my oldest son's dogs (they are Italian Bracco's and we took care of them for a few days) and pieces of wood was everywhere.  I must have done 100 squats to throw the pieces in the wheel barrow to take to the burn pile!  I filled FOUR wheel barrows!  UGGHH...I'm pooped!

Hubby gave me a break while he went to lunch with a friend and I boogied out to create a card for a team challenge.  The challenge was to use two products from the Sale-A-Bration brochure!
