20 Cards in a Tin - Day FIFTEEN - Affectionately Yours

Hello friends! Golly...end of school year is so busy...and then there's youth group...and baseball...and YIKES!!!! I am so EXCITED for school to be out and not have to be on a schedule...I know, I know...in a month I'll be ready for that schedule again! I will never understand, even after seven kids, why the schools cram EVERYTHING into the last two weeks! It makes me CRAZY! If that's not enough, my sister and her husband are coming...today (I think) to stay for a couple of days.  I've spent my morning washing sheets (my son slept on them while he was home this weekend), cleaning the room (my teenagers have decided to make it a play room and not a guest room) and OF COURSE hanging pictures that I have meant to hang for the last THREE years!  WHY....tell me WHY....do I (hopefully we) put things off until the last minute?!?!?

Well....I'm taking a break to blog! Today is Day FIFTEEN of my 20 Cards in a Tin class projects!  I sooooo hope you are being inspired to create! I need to get out there and create...to calm me...it's my RELAXING place!

My card today has a Crumb Cake card base with a piece of Affectionately Yours designer paper. It is retiring and is on sale now! I used my Circle Stitched Framelits to cut my circle in Watermelon Wonder (cutting a straight edge on one side). Choose ANY sentiment to make it a birthday card, thinking of you card, thank you card....there are SO MANY OPTIONS! I used the Me=Grateful stamp set. I also added a butterfly that I punched with my Itty Bitty punch in Daffodil Delight!  A little flower would be really cute too! This is such a simple sketch to use for ANY OCCASION!!! Give it a try!!! Use your FAVORITE designer paper, your FAVORITE sentiment...for your FAVORITE person!

Hey...thanks BUNCHES for stopping by today! I'm having a blast sharing what I love to do with you! I hope you have a WONDERFUL rest of your day! See ya tomorrow!

20 Cards in a Tin - Day FOURTEEN - Marquee Messages

Good morning crafty friends!  How was your long weekend?  Did you find any time to create?  I had every intention of getting out in my workshop...organizing it...and creating!  The best laid plans...often go awry! Mine changed for a GREAT reason though!  My daughter and her husband came up to camp nearby and my oldest son just surprised us and came to stay for a couple of days!  On Sunday, after church my son and I took my youngest son and a few of his friend along with my youngest daughter out to Trinity Lake to hang out at "the campsite" and swim!  They took kayaks and tubes and had a BLAST!  I...stayed at camp and had a nap in the hammock...it was WONDERFUL!  We BBQ'd hot dogs and roasted marshmallows...then went home so the newly weds (almost a year now) could enjoy their time together!  My poor husband stayed home...he had the flu...YUCK!!!  It's always WONDERFUL to see my kids!! I'd give up working in my workshop any ole' day for a visit with one or all of them!

Today is Day FOURTEEN of my 20 Cards in a Tin class.  Hope you are INSPIRED!

I'm sharing this card today, because it's my son's 22nd birthday today and I sent this card to him.  It's created using the Marquee Messages stamp set.  I stamped in Memento Black ink onto Crumb Cake and also onto Tempting Turquoise and So Saffron. I hand cut the arrow in Tempting Turquoise and the Birthday in So Saffron and attached them to the stamped piece of Crumb Cake using dimensionals.  I added a piece of ribbon and an embellishment from the Party Animal set (they are on sale for $4.20 right now and will retire after tomorrow). Last I adhered the Crumb Cake piece of cardstock to a Tempting Turquoise piece of cardstock and then to my Whisper White card base.  I think it's a pretty fun card and he'll like it!

Hey...thanks for stopping by today!  Have a FANTASTIC day...enjoy EVERY MINUTE of it!!

20 Cards in a Tin - Day THIRTEEN - Birthday Blast

Hey there and HAPPY FRIDAY! YIKES...it's Day THIRTEEN of my projects...and it's FRIDAY...will I have bad luck? NOPE...I'm not superstitious, but it did make me giggle!  I woke up to overcasts skies, cooler weather and a day that I have NOTHING to do except work in my workshop! I'm super EXCITED!!!  My husband found a new ice cream maker yesterday so we're gonna make some vanilla ice cream tonight! Have you seen how much vanilla is?  The big bottle at Costco is $24.99...but I had to have it!  Monday, our home group is coming over and we're gonna BBQ and my husband is gonna make Banana ice cream.  When he first made it I thought it sounded TERRIBLE, but then I tasted it and it was delicious.  Then, in a MOMENT of BRILLIANCE I thought this would be good on top of a brownie...with slices of strawberries...some chopped walnuts...and some whipping cream.  It tasted just like a Banana Split and was FANTASTIC!!! Oh...now I can't wait until Monday!!!

Ok....so on to Day THIRTEEN!!!

Here's a FUN Birthday card that we made using Cupcakes and Carousels designer paper, the Birthday Blast stamp set and the Star Blast Thinlit Dies. The colors I chose are Bermuda Bay and So Saffron...such a great combo! I don't have a photo...YIKES...but the inside of the card says HAPPY BIRTHDAY.  The sentiment is in the Birthday Blast stamp set (psst...it's on sale right now because it's retiring!) I'm really bummed that this is the only time I've used this set because it's really FUN and FESTIVE! I have a goal with the new catalog...TO USE EVERYTHING I BUY!!!

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today!  Have a FABULOUS weekend..be ADVENTUROUS!!  STAY SAFE!!!

20 Cards in a Tin - Day TWELVE - Flourishing Phrases

Hey there crafty friends! It's almost the weekend...three dayer...YIPPEE!! For us it's a 4-day weekend as tomorrow is a snow day (we didn't use in this winter), so I'm SUPER excited! Happy to not be on a schedule and hoping to get my workshop finished and some hiking in! I'm headed down the mountain today for ortho/dentist appointments, gonna get to Costco (missing the weekend crowds I HOPE!) for some groceries. My husband is headed to Target to get a new ICE CREAM maker...HOORAY!!! All is right with the world when we have homemade ice cream!!  My daughter and her husband might be coming up to camp close by and that makes me HAPPY. We did get to see them both last night but it was at the hospital...not fun...my daughters father-n-law had to have a pacemaker put it!  He looked great though and was already feeling better...PTL!

Well...I better get going here and share Day TWELVE...so much to do and so little time!

Today's card is DELIGHTFULLY simple and oh so ELEGANT! The background layer is from the Floral Boutique designer paper pack...SADLY it is retiring, but even worse is it's sold out already. The sentiment is from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set and is mounted onto a Night of Navy circle, then onto a Delicate White Doily. I added Basic Rhinestones to finish it off, but Basic Pearls would have been wonderful as well! This is such a simple sketch for a card that comes together so quickly and can be used for ANY occasion with a different sentiment and different colors!  Give it a try if you have a chance!

I'm off to the next project now! I'm feeling good...no more flu and planning on working in my workshop ALL DAY tomorrow! I'm PRAYING nothing comes up! It needs ORGANIZING...wish there was someone local to hire!

Have a FANTASTIC day and thanks BUNCHES for stopping by today! Come back tomorrow for Day THIRTEEN!!!

20 Cards in a Tin - Day ELEVEN - Make a Wish

Good Morning crafters! It's another BEAUTIFUL day here in my little mountain town! I'm getting the bug to get out there and do some hiking! We have over 100 lakes in our Trinity Alps and it's on my bucket list to make it to all of them...I've been to 23. I CAN'T WAIT 'til school is out and I can get my kiddos hiking with me! They complain a bit in the beginning, but end up loving it in the end! We have seen things that people living their entire lives here have never seen! It's truly a blessing! It makes me wish my parents had been outdoorsy...so I would have been exposed to hiking in my youth...there are so many adventures out there...just waiting to happen! I need to get my bicycle going too...haven't been on it in over a year! My husband is an avid cyclist so I go for LEISURELY rides (for him) that are kick my butt rides (for ME)! It's that time of the year!!! FIRST I need to get back to bootcamp and spin class...I have no excuses now...so tomorrow I'm back at it!

Ok...that's ENOUGH about exercise! Today is Day ELEVEN of my 20 Cards in a Tin class projects and I want to SHARE with you!!!

T
This card is a FAVORITE of all the cards we made! It reminds me of my Dandelion Wishes post back in August of 2016. I LOVE to blowing on Dandelions...I know they are weeds and folks take pains to keep them out of their yards...but to me they are FUN!

To recreate this card you'll need the Touches of Texture (dandelion) and Work of Art (background) stamp sets, the Party with Cake (sentiment) stamp set - on sale and retiring, Pool Party and Memento Black ink, Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker, Whisper White cardstock and a few Basic Rhinestones. To stamp the background in Pool Party starting at the top...ink up, stamp off and stamp, next ink and stamp and stamp again, last ink up...stamp off and stamp! The speckles are also stamped in Pool Party ink.  The dandelion and the sentiment are stamped in Memento Black ink and I used my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker for the stem, coloring only the stem without it's leaves! I plan on making many more of these cards using different colors...won't that be FUN?

That's all I have for you today...I hope you are inspired to create...or to make a wish!

Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by to let me SHARE WHAT I LOVE TO DO...WITH YOU!!

Have a WONDERFUL day!

20 Cards in a Tin - Day TEN - Metallic Doilies

Good morning everyone! Hoping all is well with you! I seem to be over the flu finally...just weak and a little shaky. It took a lot of energy to water my flowers this morning. It sure has hit my daughter hard. She's kind of a perfectionist and never wants to miss school but she is still down and didn't even argue with me about staying home! I'm gonna just hang with her and watch some Gilmore Girls with her in between naps! I was kind of a CRAZY oil lady yesterday. I just bought several diffusers to put in bedrooms and the family room (already have one in my kitchen) and one for my workshop...well yesterday I had them going strong with Lemon, Purification and Thieves! It smelled AMAZING...and I'm hoping the FLU STOPS HERE!!! I also added some Peppermint oil to my water...just a drop to help my gurgling tummy. I'm not gonna get obsessed with oils, but thought why not give it a try! SU is my one true LOVE...well, after God, my family and my friends...it's NOT getting bumped by oils!!

Today is Day TEN of my 20 Cards in a Tin class projects! I sure hope you're having FUN following along!

Today's card is a wedding card, but could easily be a SILVER ANNIVERSARY card as well! I've really been liking white on white lately (gonna change this up for my classes so as not to bore my ladies). The card base is Whisper White...OF COURSE. The next layer is Whisper Whited too, but I embossed it using the retiring Elegant Dots embossing folder.  I added a large, Silver Metallic Foil Doily with dimensionals and then the small, Silver Metallic Foil Doily on top of the large doily, with dimensionals. I stamped the Wedding Wishes sentiment from the Floral Phrases stamp set on Whisper White cardstock ans punched it with my 1 1/4" circle punch.  It's attached to the doily with Snail adhesive. I added a bow just for a bit of color. There are Gold Metallic Doilies also, so you can turn this into a GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY card too! Not to mention the MANY other sentiments you could choose to use! I hope you are inspired by this SIMPLE...CLEAN...QUICK card! I also hope you find just a moment to create today!

Thanks so much for joining me for Day TEN! We're half way there! Stay tuned for Day 11 and have a FANTASTIC DAY!!!

20 Cards in a Tin -- Day NINE - Touches of Texture

Good Morning Everyone! Well...my weekend did not turn out how I planned it at all! Friday evening I came down with a HORRIBLE flu! I missed my sons baseball game on Saturday because I slept ALL DAY! I missed church on Sunday because I slept ALMOST all day. Today...I'm feeling a bit better, but my tummy is still gurgling and hurts, but worse than that is my daughter came down with in early this morning! I hate seeing...hearing my kids sick! I'm guessing it's going to go through the house, but praying that it won't! I sure hope none of you out there are battling with it in your families!

The good thing is, besides that I lost a few pounds, is that I still have more 20 Cards in a Tin creations to share with you. Today is Day NINE...hope you're enjoying my creations!

I was inspired to create this card by a card my up-upline sent me that I shared with you back on May 3rd. This gorgeous card is made with the Touches of Texture stamp set and the Stitched Shaped framelits. To make the frame, you simply put one framelit inside of the other when cutting your cardstock. Once the frame is made I decided where I wanted it to lay on my card and put it in place (you can use a TINY bit of Snail Adhesive to hold it in place if you'd like). Next, I stamped onto my cardstock as well as the frame at the same time. I stamped in Blushing Bride ink two times going down the card. After stamping carefully lift your frame (if you have used adhesive to hold it in place) and add dimensionals to the back. Line it up with the stamped image on the cardstock and adhere it.  I used the Botanical Builder framelits for the small Blushing Bride flowers and the Bitty Butterfly punch for the butterfly. The Basic Pearls finish it off nicely. Last, I layered my Whisper White stamped image to a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock and then to my Whisper White card base.  This card was left blank inside for this class but it sure would be cute to add some flowers and a sentiment inside for a special occasion!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I LOVE sharing what I LOVE to do with you! It's generally how I start my day...unless I'm behind! Come back tomorrow for Day TEN! Leave a comment if you love this card...it's so encouraging to hear from you! I don't want to bombard you this morning so I'll be back this afternoon with a "Make-It Monday"!

Have a MARVELOUS MONDAY!!!

20 Cards in a Tin - Day EIGHT - Detailed Dragonfly

Good Morning and HAPPY FRIDAY!!! I hope you have FUN plans for your weekend...maybe a few chores, but not too many and OF COURSE...just a bit of time to create! We have a baseball game to go to on Saturday down in the valley...it's gonna be a hot one...so not ready for the heat!! I thought as we aged we got colder and liked the heat...I, however, DO NOT find that to be true for me!  I can handle the 90's, but when it gets over 100 degrees...give me air conditioning! I am EXCITED to watch my son play though...I LOVE a good baseball game!

I have Day EIGHT of my 20 Cards in a Tin class for you today! Have I mentioned how much fun the class was?  Maybe a few times!  I can't wait to do it again!

My daughter wanted to pick out what I used for on one of my cards! She chose the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits and Peekaboo Peach cardstock and here is what I came up with! The card base is obviously Basic Black with a layer of Whisper White and a piece of (MY FAVORITE) Cupcakes & Carousels designer paper. Normally I would have paired Calypso Coral with this piece of designer paper, but I LOVE it with Peekaboo Peach. Don't you just marvel at how our kids make us think out of the box in so many different ways! I cut a solid dragonfly out of our Stampin' UP! FABULOUS Vellum for the base and a lacy dragonfly from Peekaboo Peach. Naturally, I used Basic Rhinestones for the dragonfly body and added a couple extra for good measure!  The sentiment is from the Birthday Blooms stamp set! I think I'll get Kate out to my workshop more often to pick the tools and colors...I really like how this turned out!

As always...THANKS BUNCHES for stopping by today and allowing me to share what I love to do with you! Have a WONDERFUL weekend...find JOY in every minute...even the work...but especially your time to create! I'll be back on Monday for day NINE and a "Make-It Monday"...hope you don't get tired of me!!!

20 Cards in a Tin - Day SEVEN - Jar of Love

Good Morning everyone! How's your Thursday looking? Hope you are all safe and that your day goes smoothly! My day has taken an interesting turn...I had a 2 1/2 year old come for a visit while mom and dad go to the doctor and POSSIBLY have a new baby! Exciting times!  It's TON's of FUN having a little one around again! It's so different...I can just focus on him...not worried about chores...why did I worry about chores as a mom? I should have played more... a different perspective...I'll have to tell my children this when their kiddos come along!

Yesterday's class was WONDERFUL! I had 16 ladies there and we made four cards. I LOVE this class so much...the ladies are wonderful...and none of them needed me to tie bows for them during class!

Here's Day SEVEN for you...be INSPIRED!!!

Today's card is made with the Jar of Love stamp set! We made this in my class yesterday as well as my 20 Cards in a Tin class (different ladies). I could NOT remember the name of this stamp set to save my life yesterday...and somehow I forgot to put it in my card kit box! I won't forget it's name again, I'm sure!

The flowers are two-step stamps and the colors I used are Flirty Flamingo with Melon Mambo and Peekaboo Peach with Tangerine Tango. I used Old Olive for the stems and the back of the sentiment (which is from the same stamp set). My card base is  Whisper White. I also used a scrap piece of Cupcakes & Carousels designer paper and the Bitty Butterfly punch to add a sweet little butterfly to the card. OF COURSE some Basic Pearls were added to the butterfly to bling it up a bit! I really LOVE this stamp set...it's so versatile...YEP...that means there's more to come!

I want to share a really cute photo SOME of my gals let me take yesterday of them with their NEW CATALOGS! I'm gonna give them a CO-OPERATION award!

Thanks Sandy, Linda, Linda, Dianne and Christine!!
Stampin' Up! had this super cute idea on our Demo site so I decided to use it to pass out my catalogs! I have such special ladies I wanted to do something FUN for them!

Hey...thanks BUNCHES for stopping by again today! I'll be back tomorrow with Day EIGHT so be sure to check back in! Have a FABULOUS DAY!!! I hope you find just a bit of time to CREATE today!

20 Cards in a Tin - Day SIX - Badges and Banners

Good morning everyone! I'm headed down the mountain this morning for a card class, but before I leave I want to share Day SIX of my 20 Cards in a Tin class. I hope you find time to create today and that I can give you just a bit of inspiration!

For this masculine card I used the Urban Underground designer paper (which sadly is sold out). I LOVE this paper! I also used the Badges and Banners stamp set for the shield, which is stamped in Memento Black ink and punched out with the Best Badge punch. I added a hand cut banner underneath the badge (using a piece scratch Urban Underground designer paper). Last I adhered it to a Stitched Oval cut from the retiring Delightful Dijon cardstock using the Stitched Shapes framelits! I used dimensionals to attach the shield to the oval cardstock and also to attach the oval cardstock to the designer paper.  I also layered the designer paper onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock before attaching it to it's Very Vanilla card base.  SUPER EASY CARD!!

Well...I'm off to Redding after I drop kiddos off at school! It's such a BEAUTIFUL drive! I never tire of it, which is a good thing because I have to go back down on Saturday for a baseball game!

Have a GREAT day and thanks BUNCHES for stopping by!

20 Cards in a Tin - Day FIVE - Tasty Treats

WHOOPS....I never pushed the PUBLISH button...it's been sitting as a draft ALL DAY!!!

Hello everyone! Hope your day is coming along well! I woke up at 4am this morning with a start...thinking I had forgotten my daughters hair appointment yesterday!! This morning I texted our stylist and indeed I had! That's TWICE...two weeks in a row! YIKES...I'm such a scatter brain lately! This is gonna be one expensive haircut once she finally gets it done...if I miss, I still pay because it totally messes up their day...they could have scheduled someone else...and it's the right thing to do! I've decided I REALLY need to learn how to use my phone for more than taking pictures and am determined NOT to miss another appointment! I only have two kiddos at home...not seven...and I'm LESS organized! Maybe that's the problem...I need more chaos to be more organized! Now there's a thought.....

Well...I do have another card from my 20 Cards in Tin class...ENJOY!!!

This cute birthday card is made with the Tasty Treats designer paper.  There is one glossy piece with ice cream cones and one glossy piece with strawberries on it.  I chose the ice cream cone...OBVIOUSLY!!  The card base is Watermelon Wonder. Both the cardstock and the designer paper are retiring on May 31st. The designer paper pack is LOW ON INVENTORY because it's on sale for $7.80 a pack...don't miss out!

I also used the Frozen Treats framelits to make the chocolate ice cream cone adding it to a Stitched Circle (cut with the Stitched Shapes framelits) along with a birthday sentiment! The sentiment is from the Cake Crazy stamp set which is also retiring at the end of the month!

My daughter actually took this card today to give to a girlfriend for her birthday today. It says CELEBRATE on the inside and has a stamped ice cream cone on the envelope...but she I took her to school before I get a photo! SORRY!

Well...I hope you are INSPIRED to CREATE today....or maybe have an ICE CREAM CONE! Have a wonderful day no matter which you choose! Thanks so very much for stopping by so I can share what I love to do!

"Make-It Monday" You Made My Day

Hey there...I'm back with a "Make-It Monday". I went down to Happy Valley with a friend to see another AMAZING friend who is cleaning out and preparing for a craft yard sale of another friend of ours who passed away.  Our friend was a VERY TALENTED paper crafter and quilter with such a humble and quiet spirit! She was always there to share her talents and wisdom with the rest of us! When I put my TREASURES away in my workshop I couldn't help but think that she was smiling down, knowing that they were in a place where lots of paper crafting fun will happen, some quilts will be made and friendships will be grown and cherished. I can't wait to get out there and put it all together! I have home group tonight, so I won't be able to do it tonight...but there's tomorrow!

Here's today's "Make-It Monday"

20 Cards in a Tin - Day FOUR - Watercolor Butterflies

Good Morning everyone and HAPPY MONDAY! I hope you had a WONDERFUL Mother's Day. Mine was full of joy mixed with a bit of heartache, but the ache was overtaken by happiness as I heard from most of my children, enjoyed a BBQ, celebrated my mother-in-law and had a corn hole "tournament" with our pastor, his beautiful pregnant wife and their three kiddos! We enjoyed blue skies with big, white puffy clouds and dark skies shouting a storm is coming...but it never came. We continued to toss our corn hole bags, eat delicious food (did I mention it's strawberry season and we had strawberry pie) and thank God for family, friends and His many blessings!

Today is Day FOUR of my 20 Cards in a Tin class. I'm also using this card in my workshops this month because it is one of my favorites! If you have time, let me know what you think!

This GORGEOUS card has a Very Vanilla card base. The first layer is Island Indigo with the top layer being Watercolor paper. To get this look you simply color your embossing folder (I used the Fluttering Textured Impressions embossing folder) with your Stampin' Write Markers. Using the brush end, I colored the INDENTED side of the embossing folder.  Either side will work, but for this card I chose the indented side. Next, I spritzed it with water, laid the watercolor paper on top and ran it through the embossing folder. It's a STUNNING look! It needed just a little something so I added a Perfect Plum butterfly that I punched with the Bitty Butterfly punch.  The sentiment is from the Basket of Wishes stamp set and is stamped in Island Indigo!

On the inside of the card I used the Papillon Potpourri stamp set to stamp a butterfly in Perfect Plum. Next, I used the Bitty Butterfly punch to punch another butterfly out of vellum and added some Basic Rhinestones to match the butterfly on the front! SU vellum is THE BEST...thick enough to punch without cracking! I LOVE IT!!!

I'll be back this afternoon to share today's "Make-It Monday"...but for now, I'm headed down the mountain to meet up with a friend! HAVE A FABULOUS DAY and THANKS BUNCHES for stopping by!

Time in the Garden...

WOW!!! What an amazing day! It was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! I spent the entire day cleaning out my flower beds and planting new flowers. It's gonna be so gorgeous once the plants grow! Planting my flower beds is good therapy for me...just like CREATING in my workshop!  Now...it's 7:30pm, dinner is finished and I'm heading out to my workshop to get ready for my class on Wednesday!  I hope you're having a WONDERFUL WEEKEND and that you find time to CREATE!!!

20 Cards in a Tin - Day THREE - Layering Love

Hello there! It's Friday...the weekend is here and it's Mother's Day...are you ready? It's my first mother's day without my mom...strange feeling. We're going to barbecue, play some corn hole and have my mother-in-law over after church. It should be a very relaxing and FUN day! First though...I have to go down the mountain to grocery shop...Costco, Winco and R&R Meats are all on my agenda today. I was thinking about grocery shopping last night as I made my list and remembered the first time I went to Winco. For those of you who don't have one, it's a store that you bag your own groceries and I had never been to one. I made it through the shopping with my one month old daughter, my 2 1/2 year old son and Grandma Watson. She had a full cart and mine was overflowing. We get to check out and the baby starts crying (she's hungry)...I'm leaking milk and dripping in sweat because I'm trying to hurry to bag groceries...and I'm a little stressed! Finally, we finish and get out to the car to unload and I discover that my son (who was in the cart with my purse) had eaten an entire pack of Trident gum...eaten and swallowed!! His diaper smelled like spearmint for THREE DAYS! I, ABSOLUTELY called my mom to tell her gum DOES NOT stay in your stomach for seven years if you swallow it!! I giggle every time I think of this day...it's a great memory! I hope you giggle too!

Now...on to today's card!

This is the card I'm going to give my mom-in-law. The background is from the Cupcakes & Carousels designer paper pack. I inked the edges with Early Espresso and a dauber. The sentiment is from the Layering Love stamp set. I stamped it on Very Vanilla cardstock cut with the Stitched Shapes framelits. I punched a flower with Pansy punch from scrap Cupcakes & Carousels designer paper. The center of the flower is Early Espresso cardstock cut with the 3/4" Circle punch and dry embossed with the Elegant Dots embossing folder. I also cut the butterfly from scrap Cupcakes & Carousels designer paper using the Bitty Butterfly punch. I inked the edges of the flower but somehow forgot the butterfly and the sentiment, but it still looks GREAT!!

I just love this card...the colors, the layout, the sentiment! I used it in last Sunday's Facebook Hop...the theme was Mother's Day. I'm sure gonna miss the Cupcakes & Carousels designer paper....it's on sale right now (and retiring) for $6.00...I think I'll stock up!

Well...thanks bunches for stopping by today! Have a WONDERFUL WEEKEND...enjoying family and friends...MAYBE even sneaking in a little time to CREATE!!

20 Cards in a Tin - Day TWO - Blank Card

Good morning folks! What a difference a day makes...yesterday it was 85 degrees (I'm not ready for summer) and today it's gonna be 60 degrees (almost the perfect temperature). Gotta love this little mountain town that I live in...I feel so blessed!! Yesterday I had to go down the mountain to see my optometrist! I was thrilled to find out that my prescription hasn't changed and I don't need new glasses! FIRST time since I began wearing glasses that my appointment only cost me $10.00! I just can't quit smiling...especially because it's NEW CATALOG time! Please message me if you need a catalog and I will put one in the mail...those of you who attend my workshops...I'll personally hand you yours and the end of class!

Well...I'm back with another card from my 20 Cards in a Tin class. It's a blank card that can be used for any occasion! I can't wait to do another class like this....we had a blast!

I used the Botanical Gardens designer paper for the first layer of this card. Sadly it is no longer available but we have some beautiful new designer paper in the new catalog that I want to recreate this card with. You can also make your own gingham, in your FAVORITE color using the Brushstrokes background stamp (a future card). I used Stylish Stems framelits for the flower and leaf, the May Flowers framelits or the Flourish thinlits would work beautifully as well. There are also a couple of new framelits which are FABULOUS...so expect to see this card layout again...it's a simple sketch and goes together so easily. The Stitched Shapes framelits are being carried over and I am so HAPPY...I have been using them so much lately!!!

Have I told recently how much I love what I do and how much I love sharing what I do with you? Thanks so much for following along and allowing me to inspire you!

Have a FANTASTIC day!

20 Cards in a Tin - Day ONE - Vertical Greetings

Good Morning friends! I'm hoping LIFE is treating you well this Wednesday morning! I woke up to beautiful blue skies, snow capped mountains covered with gorgeous greenery. I always love this time of year....the new growth on the Oak trees is such a contrast from the Evergreens. It gives me a renewed feeling of hope and excitement as I look to what lies ahead. It's INSPIRING to me!

If you've been following my blog you know that last Saturday, May 6th I had a 20 Cards in a Tin class with nine ladies joining in the fun! We created TWENTY different cards and we had a BLAST!!  Today I'd like to start sharing those cards with you. I hope that you have FUN following along and are INSPIRED to CREATE!!

Yesterday I shared a card that I made for a friend to give to a friend using the Vertical Greetings stamp set, so I decided that would be a good place to start today....with the Vertical Greetings card we made in the class. I LOVE this stamp set...why have I not used it before today?

The colors I used are Whisper White, Old Olive and Tempting Turquoise, they go FABULOUSLY together! Of course I added a little bling using Basic Rhinestones. SUPER SIMPLE card to make...I just used the brush end of my Stampin' Write Markers to color the stamp...the breathed on the stamp (it was fun seeing the ladies huffing on the stamp) and stamped the image. It's a GREAT card and comes together so quickly!

Well...I sure hope you will come back and join me for 19 more cards! I LOVE sharing what I LOVE doing with all of you! Blessings to you all today and everyday...and I hope you find time to CREATE!!

Vertical Greetings

Good Morning! (Well...it's actually 10:07pm last night)...we just finished our home group study in Revelations...awesome study and now I'm posting because I'm headed to work early tomorrow morning! I hope you have a wonderful day...enjoy EVERY minute of it!

I want to share a card that I made last week...for a friend...to give to a friend...does that make sense?

I created this card using the Vertical Greetings stamp set.  I had not used this set yet, but I really like it! In fact, I decided to use it in my 20 cards and a Tin class last Saturday too! I also used the Ghoulish Grunge stamp set (which is retired) for the brick wall.  I'm gonna try using the brick wall embossing folder and see how that turns out. I needed to get this one done pretty quickly so I stamped it! Love that clean and simple style! The colors I chose are Whisper White, Old Olive, Smoky Slate and Cajun Craze. I'll definitely be making more cards with the set, be prepared!!!

So that's it for today! Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by! I'll be back tomorrow with more creations!
