Tuesday's Tip - Emboss for texture and dimension!!

Good Morning everyone and WELCOME to Tuesday's Tip! I hope you are all well and doing something fun, inspiring or motivational today! I'm heading out to my workshop to clean it up and get started on my December class projects!  I love being out there creating...but NOT when its a crazy disaster! I need a little bit of order when I create...which in turn ends up in complete chaos! My goal today is to put my stamps back in their boxes and the framelits back in their cases!  Maybe I can even get my inks put away! What I need is a cleaning fairy to arrive every evening to organize my mess...just like the little elves who arrived every night and made shoes for the shoemaker!  A girl can dream can't she!?!?!

Here is my Tuesday's Tip Video...I hope it inspires you to use your BigShot to emboss and add texture to your projects!  ENJOY!!

My grown kids have all gone home and Adam and Kate are back to school today so I'm gonna get out to my shop and CLEAN...it's a DISASTER!!! I have to clean so I can begin getting ready for my December workshops...and for my upcoming Fourteen Days of Love class...and the new catalog...OH MY....FUN...FUN...FUN!!!

• Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento (132708), Soft Suede (126978)
• Stampin’ Blends: Pool Party Light (144595), Crumb Cake Combo Pack (144601), Smoky Slate Light (145054), Old Olive Combo Pack (144597), Ivory (144606), Bronze (144607), Color Lifter (144608)
• Miscellaneous: Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (143263), Magnetic Platform (130658), Layering Ovals Framelits (141706), Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (141481), Classic Label Punch (141491), Soft Sky Classic Weave Ribbon (144160), Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush (141897), Pearl Basic Jewels (144219), Mini Glue Dots (103683), Fast Fuse Adhesive (129026), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), and Paper Snips (103579)

Measurements: 

• Soft Sky card base: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2” then folded
• Whisper White: 3-1/2” x 2-3/4” plus a scrap for the sentiment
• Crumb Cake: 3-1/2” x 2-3/4”
• Ribbon: at least 8”

Instructions: 

1. Run Soft Sky card base through Big Shot using the Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
2. Stamp Tuscan scenery image with Tuxedo Black Memento ink
3. Using Stampin’ Blends, color in image as desired except do not color the mountains. It’s okay to leave some white spots to give the image some added depth
4. Using an oval die from the Layering Ovals Framelits, cut out the Tuscan scenery
5. Using oval die one size larger, cut out oval from Crumb Cake
6. Adhere both together with Fast Fuse
7. Brush Wink of Stella on the mountains
8. Fold the ribbon to create a banner using Mini Glue Dots
9. Stamp the happy birthday sentiment with Soft Suede and punch out with the Classic Label Punch
10. Adhere Tuscan scene piece to card front with Dimensionals
11. Adhere ribbon beneath with Mini Glue Dots
12. Adhere sentiment atop the ribbon
13. Add two pearls

Remember, you do not have to invent the wheel to be creative, just copy this project! Did you make it with your own hands? Then you have created!

OnStage Organize Tag Swap

Hello there! Happy Wednesday! As promised, I'll be sharing some swap projects over the next few days.  This swap was an organized tag swap. Our tags had to be a minimum of 3" X 6" in size, have three layers and two embellishments!

The first two are mine and the rest are those I swaped for! They can easily be turned into cards and some would totally work on scrapbook pages!
