What's Retiring?

Stampin' Up!s Holiday catalog retiring list!

            Most items WHILE SUPPLIES LAST

Ecard_HM-Retiring_dbws_11.23.15_US_CA
THIS IS VERY EXCITING!!!  For the FIRST TIME EVER - Stampin' Up! is announcing what is retiring from the Holiday catalog while you can still order from it.
We are saying goodbye to retiring products from the Stampin' Up! holiday catalog; but before we do, Stampin' Up! is giving everyone an opportunity to order their favorites.
Retiring products will only be available until January 4, or while supplies last (stamp sets will be produced through December 28 -all other items are while supplies last), so now's a great time to order them before they're gone!

Wonderland Woodland

Hey there crafty friends!  I hope you had a FANTASTIC week!  Are you ready for your Thanksgiving celebration coming up?  I'd LOVE to hear some of your traditions...so post them below if you have time!

I have another card that we made at my workshop this month!  It is made with the Woodland embossing folder and the Wonderland stamp set!  It is so easy to make and BEAUTIFUL too!  To make this card you simply stamp Soft Sky onto your embossing folder (the side with sissix printed on it).  Ink it all over with the actual stamp pad.  Then you ink up your trees in Old Olive and stamp directly on top of the Soft Sky.  Place your piece of Whisper White card stock on top (high enough so the tops of the trees show) and run it through your Big Shot!

It is so EASY and so PRETTY!  I added some glitter ribbon and linen thread to finish it off.  I also stamped some trees on the inside of the card but AGAIN forgot to take a photo...EPIC FAIL....SORRY!!  I hope you will give this technique a try...you'll be hooked...and there are SO MANY different embossing folders you could use!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  ENJOY your weekend! I hope you find some time to RELAX....CREATE...and JUST BREATHE!!

Wonderland

Hello there friends!  I'm on my way home from my workshop...stuck in roadwork and thought I'd share a card we made today!
I love this technique!  You simply brush a piece in of watercolor paper with water and ink.  I used Lost Lagoon and Mossy Meadow.   Then you sprinkle it with Kosher salt and let it dry.  After it dries simply brush the salt off and stamp the tree image in Memento black ink!  It's a BEAUTIFUL effect!

I added some texture to the front of the card with the Decorative Dots embossing folder and some lace. The sentiment is from the Reason for the Season stamp set and the Iced Rhinestone finishes it off with a bit of elegance! I LOVE IT...and hope you do too!

That's it for today!  It was a PACKED and WONDERFUL class...such a GREAT group of gals that bear with me through all of my HOT FLASHES!!

Peaceful Wreath

Good Tuesday Morning to you all! It's another BEAUTIFUL day...we have some snow on our mountains (which we haven't had in a long time)...it's gorgeous!!

I had a workshop last night and I want to share one of the cards that we made! It's simplicity makes it wonderful!  I hope you agree!
To make this card I dry embossed a 3 3/4" X  5" piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock using the Brick Wall embossing folder.  Next I stamped the wreath from the Peaceful Wreath stamp set on Mossy Meadow card stock using VersaMark.  I stamped the bow with Soft Suede ink onto Crumb Cake card stock.  I cut both the wreath and the bow with the Wonderful Wreath framelits.  I added some Basic Pearls to the wreath to give it some elegance!  I tied a bow with a piece of White Jute twine and added it to the Crumb Cake card stock bow.  Isn't it a lovely card?!  I also used the Versatile Christmas stamp set for a sentiment inside of the card (but I forgot to take a picture).  I layered Cherry Cobbler and White card stock inside and stamped Merry Christmas in Soft Suede Ink!

Remember I told you I went to my old churches bazaar last Saturday...here's one of my finds!

It's funny...I just started a horseshoe board on Pinterest (this is on it), I texted my son and told him I want to learn to weld (he's a welder, but he's in North Carolina) and I want to take a class at the city college down in Redding.  Then I went to the bazaar and found a project that I wanted to make!  I LOVE IT!!!  There is a REALLY COOL Christmas tree on my Pinterest board...I REALLY need to learn to weld!

Well...that's all I have for you today! I have a workshop down in Redding tomorrow so I might be late in posting...UNLESS...I'm totally on the ball....BUT you all know that I fly by the seat of my pants...I guess time will tell...lol!

Sparkling Happy Scenes

Hello  everyone!  I'm home and back on track!   I had a nice visit with my mom and a ton of fun at the Mitchell Community Church Holiday Bazaar in Turlock,CA! It was great seeing old friends and I found some great stuff!  I stocked up on Triple Berry Jam and pumpkin rolls!  I'll share pictures of some of my finds later this week, but today I have a really cute card to share with you!!!

I used the Woodgrain embossing folder for the background with Crumb Cake card stock.  I inked the raised areas with Soft Suede ink.   For the scene I used the Happy Scenes stamp set and stamped it in Mossy Meadow ink on a 2 1/2" X 3" piece of Whisper White card stock.  After it was dry I stamped VersaMark over the top, poured Heat & Stick powder on it and heat embossed it (this makes it sticky).  Then I applied iridescent ice embossing powder and heat embossed it again to make it stick.  It's a BEAUTIFUL affect!  To finish it I cut a window using my Hearth and Home framelits, added some Real Red 1/4" cotton ribbon and a wooden snowflake with a piece of White Jute twine.  I just LOVE this card!   Hope you do too!

Here is a close up of the sparkles!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a FANTASTIC day!   Hope you'll stop by again tomorrow!!!

Baker's Box

Good morning my crafty friends!  I'm headed down the mountain to get a root canal this morning...YUCK...but the alternative (PAIN) is worse!  I will be glad when it's behind me!

Many of you know I had a scrapbooking retreat this past weekend...it was my last one for 2015!  I had a WONDERFUL group of ladies...we shared lots of laughs, hot flashes, food and lots of COFFEE!  I wanted to share a goody box I gave each one of them...filled with FUN scrapbooking/cardmaking embellishments and ribbons!

Isn't it cute?  It's EASY too!!! Just use your Bakers Box framelits, add some designer paper, some ribbon and an embellishment...VIOLA...a great treat holder or gift box!!

Thanks bunches for stopping by!  I'm rested up and back at it after a weekend of very little sleep!  I hope you have a FANTASTIC day!  Come on back tomorrow to see what I've been up to!

Merry Moments Gift Box

Good morning friends!   I'm busy getting ready for my retreat this weekend...making dip...making salsa...baking and making treat holders!

That brings me to today's project!  This cute box holds a lot of chocolate and will be on their tables when they arrive!!

To make this box you will need a 6 X 12 piece of card stock.  Score it at 2", 5", 7" and 10" in the landscape position.  Turn the paper to the portrait position and score at 1/2" and 10 1/2".  The 1/2" score line is the top of the box.  At the bottom of the box cut all score lines to the 1 1/2" score line.  Fold and use your Tear and Tape adhesive to put it together.  I used Merry Moment 6" X 6" designer paper cut into 2 3/4" X 3 3/4" pieces to decorate.  I also made a cute tag using Mossy Meadow card stock.  I used the Holly Jolly stamp set to heat emboss the snowflakes in white. Tie your bow using 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon and Linen Thread to attach you tag.

Thanks for stopping by...I hope to post tomorrow, but it definitely depends on how smooth the morning goes!

ENJOY your weekend!!!

I put this on my Facebook page, but thought it would make you giggle!

Horses!

Here's what I've been up to this weekend!
My daughter's riding teacher has to move and gave her the horse she has been taking lessons on the past four years!  She is a 32 year old Morgan named Juliette. We are hoping that she'll be with a few more years (or longer).  We put up panels last weekend (there's no such thing as a FREE horse)...and we brought Juliette home yesterday.  Her friend Teddy came too...it's nice to look out my window to see horses!

I'll be here tomorrow with those swap cards I wanted to share with you! ENJOY the rest of your Sunday!
