DUCT TAPE

HEY THERE!  It's Monday....did you enjoy your weekend?  I hope you've had your coffee and the day has gotten off to a great start!

I have a quick card to share with you and then I'm off to prep for my 14 Days of LOVE class!  Remember that card I made with Gorilla Tape?  Well today I have one to share that I made with DUCT TAPE!

I adhered the duct tape to a tag that I punched with the new Ornate Tag Topper punch.  The tag is 2" wide which is the width of the duct tape...PERFECT! I then ran it through my Big Shot with the Beautifully Baroque embossing folder. Once it was embossed, I inked with with Early Espresso ink....LOVE the effect!

The designer paper is from the Stacked With Love 4 1/2" x 6 1/2"  paper stack.  I embossed a piece of Melon Mambo cardstock with the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder.  The sentiment is from the You Plus Me stamp set and I made the heart with the Alphanumeric mold and Simply Pressed Clay.  Some Basic Rhinestones at the bottom kind of evens out the card.  This is a swap card that I made with my Stampin' UP! group...I'll be sharing some of their cards with you soon too!

I hope you have a FANTASTIC day!  Thanks for stopping by!

WOOD YOU BE MINE?

Yippee!  It's FRIDAY!  The weather has been so beautiful here...a bit foggy in the mornings...but then the sun pops out and the sky is so blue...GORGEOUS!  I love it, but we sure need a good snow pack and rain or the drought will continue!

I have another Valentine's Day card to share with you today.

I used the Wood You Be Mine stamp set and my Blendabilities...I LOVE COLORING!  I also used the masking technique to add the trees behind him.  To to this I stamped the lumberjack's image on to a piece of Whisper White cardstock with Memento ink and on to a post-it note. I cut the top half of him out of the post it note and covered his image on the cardstock and then stamped the trees.  I then sponged the sky and the ground and colored him in.  I added the sentiment to a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that I had already stamped with the Hardwood stamp set.  I matted the lumberjack onto a piece of Early Espresso cardstock and then onto a piece of Soft Suede cardstock that I had already ran through my Big Shot with the Woodgrain embossing folder.  I LOVE the look and it goes well in this mountain town...lots of loggers up my way!  It's a great set!

Here is one that I saw on Splitcoast Stampers....I really loved the saw blade and the designer paper.  Here is the link!. What a clever idea!

Well...I hope you all have a weekend to remember!  Have FUN with family and friends!  Thanks for stopping by!

YIPPEE....IT'S THE WEEKEND!

Sheltering Tree - you warm my heart

Happy Day to you all!  I hope your day is going well!  Mine got off to a really SLOW start!  I have a card today for you that we made at my workshop yesterday!
I must say that I LOVE this new Sheltering Tree stamp set...and so did my ladies!

The little heart is from the Wood You Be Mine stamp set.

Doesn't it make a cute Valentine card.  I just sponged some Old Olive for the ground and some Bermuda Bay for the sky.  The Whisper White is 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" and the Real Red that it is matted on is 3 3/4" 3 3/4"....and then adhered it to a piece of Crumb Cake measuring 4" x 5 1/4".  I added the sentiment, a glitter paper heat punched with the new Confetti Heart Punch and a piece 1/4" Real Red Cotton Ribbon before adding it to the Early Espresso base!

There are so many cute ideas on Pinterest...and here is one of my favorites...all of the seasons!  What a great stamp set!

HAVE A GREAT REST OF YOUR DAY!

Oodles of LOVE

Good morning!  Well it's Wednesday...have you found time to create yet this week?  I am figuring out a schedule for my creating...for my cleaning...for my exercising....HOPING that it will help me get it all done!  I'm heading down the mountain today to do my Redding workshop!  I so enjoy seeing those ladies! They are such an encouragement...and VERY dear to me!
The card I have to share with you today is a Valentines day card that I made with a paint sample card that you get at the hardware store (or paint store)  This is NOT an original idea...I saw it on pinterest (aren't these cute bookmarks?)

I thought it was such a cute idea I thought I would try it on a card.  I punched a heart in each color with the Heart punch in the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack.  I added a piece of designer paper from the  Stacked With Love paper stack.  The heart was made with the Alphanumeric mold and Simply pressed clay that I mixed 20 drops of Basic Gray ink into.  I added a Basic Rhinestone for a little bling and the stamp set if the new Polymer set called Snuggles and Smooches...I used it for the swirls and the sentiment!
Item 140326   $15.95

Isn't it a cute set!  I LOVE the LOVE in it and can't wait to use it!

Thanks bunches for stopping by!  I hope you have a PERFECT day!

Butterfly Basics

Hello!  Happy Tuesday!  Life is good in my little mountain town!  Hope all is well with you and yours!  Last night I participated in a Facebook Hop and today I want to share the card that I made.  I just LOVE it!

For this project I used the colors Soft Suede, Tempting Turquoise, Sahara Sand, Certainly Celery, Whisper White and Basic Black. I used the Butterfly Basics stamp set and the Butterflies Thinlits Dies, both from the Occasions Catalog. I used the Woodgrain embossing folder and used the new Sahara Sand 7/8" Lace Trim and the new White Jute Ribbon with an Antique brad to finish it off!

I LOVE this new LACE and JUTE!  I think it is so beautiful!  I am also TOTALLY in love with this stamp set!

Inside of the card

More FUN with the Curvy Keepsake Box

Good morning....hope life is treating you well this Monday morning and that you all had a WONDERFUL WEEKEND!  Did you find time to create?

I have a couple of Curvy Keepsake boxes to share with you today!  I was inspired by a ceramic smiling face bowl that my mother received a plant in...I wish I had a picture of it cuz it is adorable.  She doesn't use it anymore so I'm gonna beg her for it next time I go down to visit!

Isn't he cute?  I used the small oval punch for his eyes and the large oval punch for his mouth! So darn simple...but so darn CUTE!  The sentiment is from the Hello Life Stamp set in the Occasions catalog!

While I was making him...I was also texting one of my kids and I usually end my text with an emoji....so I was inspired to make another one.

Again I used the small oval punch for his eyes and the large oval punch for his eyebrows.  I used the Flower Fair framelits for his mouth and the heart (kiss) is frrom the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack.

Now my 12 year old son, Adam wants me to create the emoji that wears sunglasses!  Heading back out to my workshop! LOL

I hope that you all have a DELIGHTFUL DAY!  I'm so glad that you stop by my blog...I LOVE doing what I do...and SHARING what I do!  SWEET BLESSING to you all!  I hope I made you smile today!

Gorilla Tape

Hey there....hope today is going great for you!  I have a Valentine card that I made using some GORILLA TAPE that I want to share with you today!  I really LOVE the idea of using this tape.  I was originally going to use duct tape...but had none!  My son, Seth...who was home for a visit happened to have Gorilla tape though...so here you have it!

Gorilla Tape

I made this card using the stamp set You Plus Me, the Stacked With Love designer paper stacks, the Alphanumeric Simply Pressed Clay mold set and of course GORILLA TAPE!  I added the tape to a piece of Basic Black cardstock and ran it through my Big Shot with the Beautiful Baroque embossing folder.  I then inked it with Whisper White Craft ink and then wiped it off with a tissue.  I LOVE the look of it...the texture.  It's really FUN...be sure to try it!  I stamped the sentiment with Melon Mambo ink...the same color that I added to the clay for it's color.  Add some bling some ribbon and you have a pretty cool card!

Thank you for stopping by!  I love sharing what I do!  Have a terrific weekend!

SWEET BLESSING to you all!

Sheltering Trees Happy Birthday card

Hello...hello...hello! I just finished meeting with a cabinet maker...we have decided to redo my 1970's kitchen....I'm very excited...but it took most of my morning!

I have a birthday card to share with you today.  I really love the new Sheltering Trees stamp set and wanted to show you a different way you can use it...here I used it to make the birthday cake and the candles are from the Celebrate Today stamp set.  The colors are used on the cake are Pistachio Pudding, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe and Strawberry Slush.  The candles were stamped with the new Yellow Citrus Chalk ink.  I mounted the cake onto a 4 x 5 1/4" piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock, added some White 1/4" cotton ribbon and a few Basic Pearls and then mounted it onto my card base.

I don't normally make really clean and simple cards...but I am kind of liking them.  I have to really step out of my box....it's fun to try different styles!

I hope you all have a fabulous day!

Sweet blessings to you and yours!

Be Mine Shaker Card

Good day to you all!  I can't say good morning because it after NOON!  The morning has flown by!  I had a workshop last night and is was to great to be back at it!  My ladies are so wonderful, kind and encouraging...and they love making things with me!  I wish you all could come craft with me!

You aren't going to believe this.....I HAVE NEVER MADE A SHAKER CARD! Yesterday while I was getting ready for my workshop, I was a little sidetracked by Shaker Frames and I decided to give a shaker card a try.  Here is MY FIRST ATTEMPT!
The designer paper is from the Stacked with Love 4 1/2" X 6 1//2" paper stack in the Occasions Catalog.  What I trimmed off to make the card front was just enough to add a little something to the inside of the card.  The sentiment is from the You Plus Me stamp set, also in the Occasions Catalog. It's very simple ....and I like that.  I think I have some more shaker cards in my future...

Oh yeah...here are this weeks....

As always...thanks for stopping by!
Have a CRAFTY day!

Celebrate Today

Hello my crafty friends!  I'm sorry I have been missing in action lately....difficult things have been happening on the homefront...and honestly...it's been a battle getting the desire to go out to my workshop....BUT...this weekend I needed a birthday card for my son's girlfriend.  I was tempted to go buy one...instead I made one!  I'm hoping my passion has been reignited!

I've known that tough times just suck the life out of us so quickly...but I'm SEEING how God can give us HOPE and a RENEWED SPIRIT and I am very thankful for that!  Without going into details...please pray for my family....GOD know what's going on!

Today...I want to share the birthday card I made using the Celebrate Today stamp set and the Balloon Framelit Die that can be used with it!
The colors I used are Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Whisper White and the Birthday Bass Specialty Designer Paper from the Occasions catalog.  I also used the new Aquamarine and Yellow Citrus ColorBox Chalk Ink pads.  I love them and hope Stampin' UP! comes out with more colors.  You can leave it chalky looking...or you can buff it to make it shiny!  It's a simple card....it's gotten me going again...I LOVE IT!

I have a workshop tonight so I have more to share with you tomorrow. Thanks for staying faithful and checking in on my blog...even when there was nothing to see!

Today...I leave you with this thought...

Taking Down Christamas!

Good morning!  It's good to be back!  SALE-A-BRATION starts today!  NO MORE COMING SOON....TODAY'S THE DAY!!
I've been trying to take down Christmas and while I was doing so...I realized that I still had a couple of projects to share with you!

I made a garland for my front window out of my reindeer curvy keepsake boxes.  Rudolph is in the lead.  My little ones loved it, and I even have a couple of teenagers noticed and said how cute it was!
I think before I put it completely away I will add name tags around each neck and figure out how to make Santa's sleigh for the back...maybe add some ribbon or Christmas balls for color! I have a year to figure it out...and I HAVE A HEAD START!

To finish off today, I wanted to share some of my Curvy Keepsake Boxes on my tree!

I can't wait to make more for next year....BUT NOW...on to Valentine's Day and more!  See ya tomorrow!  Have a blessed day!
