#simplestamping Sunday - Let It Ride

Good Morning everyone!  I hope today is a great day!  It's my oldest son's 27th birthday and we're going to take him and his girlfriend out to dinner tonight to celebrate!  I LOVE spending time...anytime...with my kids!  I can't wait!

It's #simplestamping Sunday here on my blog and I have another card to share with you!  I am REALLY loving this challenge Stampin' Up! has given us as demonstrators.  It's great to go back to basics!

I knew when I saw the Let It Ride stamp set at OnStage in November, that I had to buy it!  My daughter is CRAZY about horses!  I plan on using this set for future scrapbook pages and fun thinking of you cards for one of my favorite girls!

Today...I simply stamped the horse and the sentiment in Soft Suede ink onto a Note Card which measures 3 1/2" X 5" and sponged Coastal Cabana ink around the image...totally #simplestamping!

The note cards are item# 131527 and sell for $6.50.  You get 20 cards and 20 envelopes.  I had never used them before Stampin' Up came up with this new campaign.  I LOVE them...in fact, I'm going to keep them on hand...just like I keep Whisper White cardstock on hand!  The fact that they are smaller means there is less white space, which makes it easier to do #simple stamping!  These cards come together so quickly, you can literally be thinking of someone and make them a card to let them know you're thinking about them in less than 15 minutes.  Then just pop it in the mail!  I'm ordering more TODAY!!!

Hey...thanks BUNCHES for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day...and find a moment or two to do something you love!

Scrappin' Sautrday

Hello Everyone!  Happy Saturday!  What a great day it has been.  I slept in, took Christmas down, organized the garage and the sun is shining!  Now it's time to share today's scrapbook page with you! I hope it inspires you to get your photos out and create at least one page this week!  HAVE FUN!

The background designer paper is from the Share What you love paper pack.  I mounted two photos onto Basic Black cardstock.  I cut another piece of designer paper from the same Share What You Love paper pack and mounted it on Whisper White cardstock, then onto Basic Black cardstock and attached it to my 12" X 12" background.  I attached three Pearlized Doiles to the back of the photos...they are cut in half so I didn't waste lol!  The wooden Butterfly Elements from the Sale-a-Bration catalog and some Metallic Pearls to finish off the page.

Here is an closer photo of the Butterfly Elements!  They are WONDERFUL!  I can't wait to play with them some more!

I love how this page turned out!  I'm COMPLETELY loving getting some scrapbooking done each week!

Thank you for stopping by and allowing me to share what I've been up to with you!

ENJOY your weekend...and find a moment or two to CREATE!!

Be an encourager :) Make a habit of watching goodness in everyone...not flaws. do something nice for those you are bothered by , for those who have been through a lot, for those who just need someone to do a kind deed. Take a meal, send a card, buy a candle, send flowers. Stop the negativity, start being kind, always.

Christmas Tag

Good Morning everyone! I hope you had a WONDERFUL Christmas and maybe still are, surrounded by family and friends! Mine was indeed terrific! Six out of the seven were able to come home with their husbands, boyfriends and girlfriends. Grandma was here and a friend from church. I LOVED every minute of it! I did really miss my son that lives in Phoenix (and his adorable girlfriend) but they were able to come home for Thanksgiving! I have always loved being a mom and having my kids around...they truly are a blessing!

I have one more project to share with you today that we made in my December classes.  It's a Christmas tag. If you haven't already put your Christmas stamps away, I thought you might enjoy making a few of these and have a head start on next year!

This EASY and QUICK tag is made with Watercolor paper.  It measures 2 1/2" X 3 1/2" and the corners are rounded with the Envelope Punch Board. The image is stamped with the Winter Woods stamp set.  After spritzing the paper with water, I stamped once in Lemon Lime Twist and once in Pear Pizzazz.  The sentiment is stamped with the Christmas Pines stamp set in Cherry Cobble ink.  Sadly the metal stars are all sold out, but the All Is Bright Paper Clips would look cute hanging from the Linen Thread and Real Red 3/8" Cotton Ribbon.  The paper clips are on CLEARANCE NOW!!!

I'm hoping to get some more made for next year...for personal use, but I also want to do a craft fair somewhere!  Oh...it makes me nervous to think about it...but excited too!

Well...that's it for today!  I must get out to my workshop and get started on my January classes!  I have to clean the mess up form wrapping gifts first but that's ok...it's a multi functional room!  Next week my son wants to have a bunch of friends over to celebrate the NEW YEAR so I'm gonna take some tables out, bring in a ping pong table and make an Xbox playing area for some good...safe...FUN!!!  Multi-functioning is a WONDERFUL thing!

Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by!  Have a FANTASTIC day! I hope you'll join me again tomorrow for more INSPIRATION!!

#simplestamping Sunday - Abstract Impressions

Hi everyone!  I know...it's Sunday and I don't usually blog on Sundays but I'm trying a new challenge!  At OnStage, Stampin' Up!'s convention back in November, we were challenged do some simple stamping using the Stampin' Up! Note Cards.  These cards are terrific for simple stamping because they are only 5" X 3 1/2", which lessens the white space!  I'm really having fun with it and thought I'd share what I'm doing!

Each month Stampin' Up! is giving us a challenge and December's theme is to create a Thank You card using the note cards, ink, and ONE stamp. That meant I had to find a stamp set with a thank you sentiment in it!  Well...I found a FUN one from the NEW Occasion's Catalog and made three cards! Then I read the rules again and it needed to be a stamp set from the Annual Catalog, so back out to my workshop I went (after church today)!  I'm here to share ALL of the #simplestamping thank you cards I created!  I hope you're INSPIRED to do some #simplestamping ...it's a bit addicting!

Here's the #simplestamping card I did right!  I used Note Cards, Ink (Flirty Flamingo, Lovely Lipstick, Certainly Celery and Memento Black) and ONE stamp set (Abstract Impressions)!

I really like how it turned out!  It's crisp, clean and simple!  Another really cool thing is you can change it up with a different sentiment...like Happy Birthday, Love You, Miss You, Hello, Happy for You, Congratulations!  The possibilities are endless!

Below are the three cards that can't be used for the challenge as I used a stamp set from the Occasions Catalog called Beauty Abounds! You are going to LOVE the new catalog and Sale-a-bration!  For these cards I used Memento Black, Daffodil Delight, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and Coastal Cabana inks.  Again...I LOVE the simplicity of these cards!!

So I've decided that I really LOVE the #simplestamping idea! I'm incorporating it into my blog, Facebook, Instagram and I'm even going to offer some upcoming #simplestamping classes!

You may be wondering why I keep using #simplestamping - it's because Stampin' Up! challenged us to include it in our posts and are giving random prizes!  It's ALWAYS fun to get a prize!

Hey, THANKS BUNCHES for stopping by today!  I'll see you in the morning with a new "Make-It Monday"!  ENJOY the rest of your day!!

Scrappin' Saturday

Good Morning everyone!  It's time for my Scrappin' Saturday scrapbook page!  I'm gonna share it real quick then get back to makin' cookies!! I made this about a month ago and it's one of my favorite scrapbook pages!

The 12 X 12 background is from the Frosted Floral designer paper.  The strips are scraps of Basic Black cardstock, Gray Granite cardstock and Share What You Love designer paper.

I also cut snowflakes using my Blizzard Thinlit and my Seasonal Layers Thinlits.  The centers of the snowflakes have Frosted Epoxy drops in the middle!

My little girl was ALWAYS in dress up close and NEVER got cold...this page is here completely!  I still have to do my journaling....ALWAY journal!  It's so important!  They'll love seeing your handwritten words!

Well...that's it for today!  I have a surprise for tomorrow!  I'm bringing another fun aspect to my blog!  I hope you'll join me for a few moments!!  Thanks for stopping by today! Have a FANTASTIC weekend and celebrate the season
