Good morning everyone! Well...the week is rolling on by and it's already time for Tuesday's Tip! Thank you for joining me! Today I want to share Paper Pumpkin with you so I'm opening my August ORANGE BOX on video so you can see what's inside! Most of the time it's goodies to make cards...stamps, ink, cardstock, embellishments. Occasionally it's 3-D projects!

This box FOOLED me this time...I thought it was plain Whisper White cardstock (that's what I showed you in the video)...but the cardstock is actually this! Four in each color!

I hope you enjoy the video...be sure to subscribe to My Channel!

RIGHT NOW...as I type, Paper Pumpkin is only $10.00 for the first month for NEW SUBSCRIBERS and that includes shipping. ...here it is all boxed up and ready to give as a gift!

One last thing...I wanted to share a picture of what SU did with this' months Paper Pumpkin! I LOVE how they cut the card into smaller tags (inside the box) and added some Baker's Twine...super cute gift!

Beautiful Bouquet

Good Morning everyone! It's FINALLY FRIDAY! Do you have FUN plans for your weekend? I have to go down the mountain today (because my glassed broke and I need to see if they can fix them or if I need to order new ones!) and I have to go down the mountain tomorrow to take my son shopping! When we went school clothes shopping I gave him money and let him do it on his own (with his friends).  He did really good...he got three pair of shoes (they were buy one get one half off so I went back and got the fourth pair 1/2 off for myself). He got four pairs of jeans (buy one get one for a penny) and one T-shirt and he was out of money. He's now decided he needs some shorts and some shirts....he's so sweet, he thought that what I had originally given him was all I had and he didn't want to ask for more (I just didn't want to give my 15 year old all his clothes money at once...I wanted to make sure he would spend it right)! Lesson learned mom...I can trust him to spend my money wisely!

Earlier this month I was part of a Facebook Hop. We have one on the 7th of every month. I never posted that card on my blog and I just love it so I'm sharing it today! I hope it inspires you to get out there and create with some of your SPARE (lol) time this weekend!

I had a comment on the hop that it was such a refreshing card...and it really is! To create it you'll need a 4 1/4" X 11" Whisper White card base. Your first layer is a 4 1/8" X 5 3/8" piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock. You'll stamp on a piece of 4" X 5 1/4" Whisper White cardstock. First I stamped my flowers down in the corner using the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set. I stamped the flowers in Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo and Pumpkin Pie. I also cut two additional flowers (in Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry) and cut them out using my Bouquet Bunch framelits!  The groups of flowers are stamped in Bermuda Bay also using the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set. Next I cut a square frame using my Stitched Shapes framelits. I used the Touches of Texture stamp set to stamp splotches on the card in Lemon Lime Twist and onto the frame (just a bit).  Next I attached the frame using dimensionals and the cut out flowers also using dimensionals. The leaves are cut using the same Bouquet Bunch framelits ans just glued under the flowers with Multipurpose glue. Of course I had to add some Black Baker's Twine and some Linen Thread. The CUTE hello tag is cut with the same framelits and stamped with the same stamp set! You can purchase both as a bundle and SAVE!

You can purchase both the stamp set and the framelits as a bundle and SAVE!

Item#145297  Price: $51.25

I just LOVE the little tag! It's so CUTE I had to share a close up photo! I cut it out first with and then stamped the HELLO on it three times!

That's it for today!  THANKS BUNCHES for stopping by!  Have a FABULOUS weekend mixed with a few chores, lots of FUN...and a little bit of CREATING!

Watercolor...You've Got This!

Good Morning! WOW!!! I'm sorry I didn't post yesterday! I had our internet provider out to upgrade our system for faster service...he installed a new modem and then I had no internet service. He told me it might be my router and to call this other guy who knows about routers!! YIKES...this computer stuff is GREEK to me! I called, but never heard back from anyone! Somehow, last night...it just started working so I'm able to blog today! I really need to take some computer courses...but that would interfere with my creative time!!

I have another masculine card to share with you today! I hope it inspires you!

My card base is Smoky Slate and the first layer is a 4 1/8" X 5 3/8" piece of Basic Black cardstock. My top layer is Watercolor paper (4" X 5 1/4") and I used my Aqua Painters to paint the mountain scene. The colors I used are Smoky Slate, Tranquil Tide and Night of Navy. The sentiment is from the You've Got This stamp set and I added a few Enamel Glitter Dots to finish it off!  It's so simple, but was so FUN to make!

Remember last Thursday (August 17th), when I spoke about finding inspiration?  You really can find it in so many different places! It's interesting to me how my thinking and perception has changed since I became a SU demonstrator almost seven years ago! Not only do I think in SU colors (so does my daughter)...but I see inspiration all around me...there's just not enough time in the day to create all that I want to create!

Here is what inspired this card! Pretty cool! I'd love to have this print to hang in my home or workshop!

Hey...thanks so much for stopping by today and for bearing with me yesterday! I wasn't able to blog, but I did enjoy a visit with two special girlfriends! Next time you're not leaving without LUNCH! LOVE YOU GALS!!!

Tuesday's Tip Video - Embossing Folder Stamping

Good morning stamping friends! Well...yesterday was a big day...the first day of school for my son, Adam (Sophomore) and my daughter, Kate (7th grade)! Then there was the eclipse...that was FUN! I was out there every five minutes with my son's welding helmet on...checking it out and trying to take pictures, NONE of which turned out! My second oldest son, Seth was home watching it with me...so my day wasn't so lonely! It's always hard to get use to the kids going back to school...but not today...I had two English Bulldogs to love and a son to visit with (and love too)...AND a video to make!

That's right...it's time for my Tuesday's Tip Video!

Here is the finished card!

My card base is Early Espresso with a 4 1/8" X 5 3/8" layer of Whisper White cardstock adhered to the top. Next I have a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Coffee Break designer paper (FANTASTIC paper pack by the way)! My video showed you how to create the embossed Petal Burst background onto a Stitched Shapes Framelit Circle cut from watercolor paper.  I used Lemon Lime Twist to color my embossing folder for this affect! Next I cut two daisies using my Daisy punch in Crushed Curry cardstock and the leaves are punched with the Lemon Builder punch from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock. I added some Crushed Curry Bakers Twine and some Linen Thread to finish it off. Looking at it now I could have added some Glitter Enamel Dots...but I'm off to the gym, so that will have to wait til later!

This card came together very quickly and easily! I hope you'll give this FUN technique a try!

Thanks so much for following my blog! I hope you'll take a moment to SUBSCRIBE to my YouTube Channel as well! Have a FANTASTIC DAY!!!

"Make-It Monday" Coffee Cafe

Good Morning everyone!  Did you have a terrific weekend?  Are you ready for today's Solar Eclipse? I forgot to get the special glasses, but my son has a welding helmet that will protect my eyes! I'm gonna look crazy, but I won't miss it! I'm excited! School started today for my kiddos...Kate is in 7th grade and Adam is a Sophomore...where has the time gone? I can't wait for them to get home so I can hear all about their day! I LOVE being a mom!! It's a hard job...sometimes heartbreaking...but always a BLESSING!!

If you are on my mailing list, I sent you an email last night with a SPECIAL Solar Eclipse gift with purchase...be sure to look at it!  It's good TODAY, August 21st ONLY!

Here's today's "Make-It Monday"....I hope you ENJOY it and perhaps a cup of coffee!! Remember to join me tomorrow for another Tuesday's Tip Video!

6.     Stamp the coffee bean image 3 times in the bottom right corner of the other piece of Whisper White card stock. Glue to the inside of the card.

This Little Piggy

Good Morning ya'll! How's life? I'm sure you've all been busy, busy, busy as I have! Today I'm heading down the mountain with FOUR teenage boys to go back-to-school shopping! YIKES!!! My daughter has a orthodontist appointment and I need to go to Costco....and Redding is SO HOT!  Listen to me...I'm complaining about shopping and spending time with my kid!  That's terrible!! Really I'm just complaining about the heat...I don't like it when it's over 100 degrees...but I'll survive! School starts on Monday so I have to...hehehe!

I've been wanting to share this really cute card that my upline Sarah at Sarah's Ink Spot sent to me for being in the Top Five in sales on her team! She also sent me a few goodies that are also in the picture!

Isn't it CUTE? It's made with the This Little Piggy stamp set! Pretty sweet of her to send it to me right?!?

Below is a picture of the card alone so you can zoom in on the VERY CUTE details! Why don't I have this set yet?

Well...I'm gonna run...WISH ME LUCK!! Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by and have a TERRIFIC weekend! I hope you find time to CREATE!

Bike Ride!

Good Morning friends! Here we are...another beautiful day! I'm going to be SEWING in my workshop today with my daughter...finishing up those bags we took a class for back in JUNE...but first I wanted to share something FUN that I've been working on!

So my husband is a power lineman by trade but a bicyclist by choice! He used to be a team roper, but gave the horse up when the third kiddo came along. So now he rides a bicycle and is SUPER trim and fit (me not so much...but I'm working on it). I do love to ride with him when he is doing a leisurely ride (which kicks my coo!). I want to write him a LOVE note...just because so I chose to make a card for him with a cycling theme!

Did you realize you can find INSPIRATION in many places? It's AMAZING what inspires me sometimes!

This is the wallpaper on my phone (I think of him often) AND my INSPIRATION!!

I LOVE the colors and the style...it's just BEAUTIFUL!

Here's is the card I created to give to him! I'd LOVE it if you told me what you think in the comments below! To me it's SUPER FUN!

You're probably figuring out that I LOVE our SU Glossy paper! I used the wiping technique to create the background.  I wiped Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Bermuda Bay, Powder Pink, Crushed Curry, Perfect Plum and Wisteria wonder onto a piece of 4" X 5 1/4" Glossy White cardstock.  Next I used the Bike Ride stamp set to heat emboss the bicycle using black embossing powder...I could have also used Memento Black ink! Next I used my Labeler Alphabet stamp set for the saying. I adhered the stamped imaged to a 4 1/8" X 5 3/8" piece of Basic Black cardstock, tied some Basic Black Bakers twine around the layered image and then mounted it to a Whisper White card base. Of course I had to bling it up a bit by adding Clear Faceted Gems to the center of the wheels! He's gonna LOVE that! It's a simple card that I'm gonna use to invite him on a bicycling date...I hope he says YES!!

Well...I'm off to sew! I hope this encourages you to look for inspiration all around you! It's out there...I PROMISE and not just on Pinterest (which is FABULOUS)!

Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by! I love sharing what I do with you! I hope your day is TERRIFIC!!

Big on Birthdays MASCULINE!

Good Morning everyone! I have a QUICK post today because I'm heading down the mountain for a class, lunch and errands...a BUSY day!  I hope you all have a TERRIFIC day...and...FIND TIME TO CREATE!!

My classes want more masculine cards so here's one we'll be making today! The base of this card is Early Espresso with a 4 1/8"  X 5 3/8" layer of Whisper White cardstock. I used another piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 4" X 5 1/4" and stamped it with the Marbled background stamp in early espresso ink. I also stamped the same image in Crushed Curry and punched it out with my 1 1/4" circle punch for under the sentiment.  The sentiment is from the Big on Birthdays stamp set and is stamped in Crushed Curry onto a 2 3/4" X 3" piece of Whisper White cardstock. I mounted it onto a 2 7/8" X 3 1/8" piece of Early Espresso cardstock.  Last, I added a piece of 3/8" Mini Chevron (Crushed Curry) ribbon to the bottom and three Glitter Enamel dots at the top. Simple and MASCULINE....NO FLOWERS!!

Well...I gotta run! THANKS BUNCHES for stopping by! I'll be back tomorrow with another project to share!

Tuesday's Tip Video - FRAME IT!

Good morning everyone! I hope today is looking good to you! I'm exhausted! I just got home from the gym and I am wiped! My legs felt like they were 1000 pounds and I had to really push to finish! My bootcamp instructor said I need to eat more carbs...that shouldn't be a problem!!! Eating is NEVER a problem...eating HEALTHY is! One day at a time! My goal isn't to have my twenty year old body back...it's just to be fit...and a little lighter...and exercising really does give me more energy for my day!!

ENOUGH about that! It's Tuesday's Tip time and I have a new video to share with you! ENJOY!!

If you hadn't guessed it by now...you've figured out that I LOVE my Stitched Shape Framelits! I could use them for EVERY SINGLE card I create!

Here's the card that I created with some of the frames that I cut in the video! I need some masculine cards to make in my classes and to send out at church. One of the gals attending my class last night said her husband asked her for a card for a friend (male) and she said "What kind of flowers does he like?  It made me GIGGLE...but also made me think...I really need to create some masculine cards!

The card base of this card is Whisper White and the first layer is a 4 1/8" X 5 3/8" Early Espresso card stock. The designer paper is from the wonderful Coffee Break paper pack and measures 4" X 5 1/4". Next I used a Stitched Shape Circle for the Happy Birthday sentiment which is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set and is stamped in Early Espresso ink! I adhered it to a Starburst punched Tranquil Tide circle. The celebrate, celebrate, celebrate is from the same stamp set and is stamped onto a punched 1" circle and adhered to the smallest Stitched Shape circle...and then there's that circle frame, also in Tranquil Tide. I used dimensional to adhere both of the sentiments and the circle frame. I finished it with a piece of Tranquil Tide 1/2" finely woven ribbon. It's a great GUY CARD!!!

Hey....thanks BUNCHES for stopping by!  Life is good and I am grateful! I'm also grateful that you follow along...hopefully finding inspiration to CREATE!!! Have a MARVELOUS day!

"Make It Monday" In the City

Hello everyone! Well...the weekend is over and we are already into the THIRD WEEK of AUGUST! I can't believe how fast time is FLYING by! I hope your week goes GREAT and that your weekend was WONDERFUL! My was a bit hectic...running kids around...and NO TIME TO CREATE!

I'm SUPER excited, I just had a friend join my team and she's going to Salt Lake with me in November to Stampin' UP!'s Onstage Live event! I went to a local event last year in Phoenix (stayed with my son) and it was a FUN day of learning about new products, celebrating achievements and lots of make-n-takes. This event is two and a half days of the same! I can't wait! It will be so fun to have a dear friend with me and the rest of our team! I'm THRILLED!! Another really cool thing is there will be lots of great ideas shared that I can share with you...eventually!

For now, however...I have another "Make-It Monday" to share with you!

"Make-It Monday": In the City card created with Stampin' Up! products
All images © 1990-2017 Stampin’ Up!®

Set found on page 222 of the 2017-18 Stampin' Up! catalog.
This host stamp set of 60 images is only available with Stampin’ Rewards.

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: In the City Host Stamp Set (143771)
Inks: Lemon Lime Twist (144086) & Pool Party (126982) Classic Stampin’ Pads; Basic Black Archival Stampin’ Ink (140931)
Paper: Whisper White (100730) & Lemon Lime Twist Card stock
Other: Rhinestone Basic Jewels (144220), SNAIL Adhesive (104332), Big Shot (143263), Stitched Shapes Framelits (145372), Simply Scored Scoring Tool (122234)

Measurements:
•   Whisper White: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, scored and folded at 4-1/4”
•   Whisper White: 3-1/2” x 3-1/2” (or larger scrap as this will be die-cut)
•   Lemon Lime Twist: 5-3/8” x 4-1/8”

Instructions:
1.     Using Basic Black Archival Ink, stamp the house image into right corner of the square of Whisper White card stock (see photo for placement).  Stamp the tree beside it, with the base of the trunk slightly higher than the base of the house (about 1/8” of an inch).  Stamp the sentiment below.
2.     Using Lemon Lime Twist ink, stamp the center of the tree image, the door on the house, and the “grass” beside the house.
3.     Using Pool Party ink, stamp the solid image on the house outline.
4.     Adhere the Lemon Lime Twist to the Whisper White card base using SNAIL.
5.     Using your Big Shot and the largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits, die cut the image.   Take care when doing this to make sure that you don’t cut off the bottom right corner of the square because it won’t line up on your card.  When placing the circle over the image, you can bring the edge very close to the corner, but don’t go over.  Once cut, adhere the stamped image to the card base using SNAIL.
6.     Add 5 Rhinestone jewels to the card.
Hey...thanks BUNCHES for stopping by today!  I'm heading out to my workshop to finish getting ready for a class tonight!  I hope you find time to CREATE!!!

Daisy Inspriation

Good Morning everyone! How's it going? I hope your day is starting off GREAT! I've been to the gym...watered my flowers...got a load of laundry going and watched my daughter fall off of her horse for the very first time! She wasn't hurt (I'm thanking God) and she got back on! It was really weird because I usually come home from the gym and soak in a hot bath (I really new a hot tub), but this morning after reading The Daily Bread I heard a whisper telling me I needed to be out there with my daughter while she was riding. I needed her to know that I cared and was interested in watching her...AND I had this sense that something might happen! I'm so happy that I listened and that I was out there! I LOVE it when I can see God working in my life...even if it's just getting me out there to watch my girl fall off her horse and encourage her to get back on! Kate just came down stairs to say thanks for getting her back on and that she wouldn't have done it had I not been out there...what a gift! It's AMAZING to me!

Remember that card I shared yesterday that I was going to have my class make last night? Well...I didn't have a class last night (scatterbrain), it's next Monday evening so I decided not to finish prepping but to play instead!

A while back, I was watering my flowers and took this photo as inspiration for a card! Photo's help me REMEMBER what I want to do! I also remember my life through photos! My husband will be talking about a past adventure and I'll be seeing photos that I took during that time and be able to say...oh yeah...that was 1992 and Seth was a baby and we were here....blah, blah, blah.  I LOVE that photos do that for me!!

Anyway...here's the card that I created!  I LOVE it!  My card base is Whisper White and my first layer is a piece 4" X 5 1/4" Tranquil Tide card stock. Next I used my Timeless Texture stamp set to create a Crushed Curry background on a piece of
3 3/4" X 5" Whisper White card stock. Next I cut a piece of Watercolor paper with my large Stitched Shapes Oval framelit and used my Aqua Painter with Bermuda Bay ink for a color wash background.  I stamped the stem using Tranquil Tide ink and the Daisy's Delight stamp set. The oval is attached with dimensionals, but before I attached it I added a few Linen Thread loops. Last, I added my daisy which I made by cutting one daisy with my Daisy Punch, cutting it in half, layering it and rounding the petals back using my bone folder. The Early Espresso center of the daisy is cut with the Swirly Scribbles thinlit and embossed with the Softly Falling embossing folder. Last I added a sentiment which is from the Best Birds stamp set and a few Glitter Enamel Dots. I LOVE how it turned out...just how I PICTURED it!

Hey...thanks BUNCHES for stopping by today! You know I LOVE creating and I LOVE sharing my creations with you! Have a FANTASTIC day!

Lovely Words

Hey there and HAPPY WEDNESDAY to you! What's going on in your neck of the woods? Things are calm here right now, but it's gonna be noisy here in a while! The earth movers have been here for a week now...moving dirt...digging up rocks...there are HUNDREDS of rocks...I don't know what I'm gonna do with all these rocks, but the ground is level and we're getting closer to a riding arena for our daughter! She is so excited! My son and husband built him a batting cage this summer, but we had to bring in the big guns for the ground leveling! It should be finished before the rains come...HOPING that's right because our Trinity Red Dirt will be a muddy mess!

I have a class tonight to get ready for, but I have a card I made yesterday using the large stitched circle from yesterday's video! I hope you LOVE it and that it INSPIRES you to create!

This card has a Whisper White card base with a 4 1/8" X 5 3/8" Basic Black first layer. For the next I used a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Whisper White cards stock that is embossed using the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.

Now for the really FUN stuff! If you watched yesterday's video I used reinkers and Rubbing alcohol for my background circle. I dropped one drop of Bermuda Bay and two drops of Crushed Curry onto my Glossy card stock circle (cut with my Stitched Shapes framelits). Next I sprayed it with rubbing alcohol using my Stampin' Spritzer. What a BEAUTIFUL affect! Next I topped it with the word HUGS which I cut by laying the Lovely Words thinlit inside the large stitched circle framelit and running it through my big shot using Basic Black card stock. I should have taken a photo!! I glued the word to my BEAUTIFUL background with multipurpose glue. I stamped the Sending You sentiment, in Memento Black ink, with the Lovely Inside & Out stamp set. I inked the edges with Bermuda Bay ink and a dauber after hand cutting one end into a banner. That DELIGHTFUL flower and branch of leaves are cut using the Flourish Thinlits. I wrapped Linen Thread and Black Bakers Twine underneath the Hugs circle and attached it to the card using dimensionals!

I just LOVE how this card turned...I think we'll make it at tonight's class!

Thanks SO VERY MUCH for stopping by today! I hope you have a FANTASTIC rest of your day...and that you find a minute or two to create!

Tuesday's Tip Video- Fun with Glossy Paper

Good Morning everyone! I hope you had a TERRIFIC day yesterday! Mine was quite busy! I had to create a card for our team Facebook Hop last night! You can check it out and follow along by clicking on the Facebook icon to the right of this post. It was a great hop with some great ideas!

I also had lunch with a friend, went to work for a few hours AND it was my mother-in-laws birthday! Thank goodness I had a card made already and my husband picked up a gift for her.  She wanted tacos for her birthday dinner, so we had shrimp tacos and all the fixin's and I tried a new DUMP CAKE recipe for her dessert....two cans of lemon pie filling on the bottom, a lemon cake mix spread over the top (just the dry mix) and two sticks of melted butter poured over the cake mix! Oh, and we topped it with Cool Whip! It was DELICIOUS!!! I was really happy my son, Seth stayed for dinner...it's ALWAYS wonderful when my kids come home for a visit and nice to get a text that the made it home safely!

Well...it's time for my Tuesday's Tip Video! ENJOY...and GIVE IT A TRY!!!

I really hope you are enjoying my videos...I sure am enjoying making them! At first I thought I needed to have a script, but I think just being myself...saying things wrong...hearing the rattling as I find the wipes...etc...makes it REAL! I'm also hoping you don't mind all my imperfections!

Hey...thanks BUNCHES for stopping by!  Have a FABULOUS day!
