Kraft Pillow Box Treat Holder

Good Morning everyone!  Yay...it's Friday and a three day weekend!  Well...my husband took yesterday off so it's a five day weekend for us!  We're heading to the Rib Cook-off in Reno, Nevada with our son and his girlfriend.  We've never been!  I'm excited...but also dreading the crowds!  I'll keep you posted!  What are your plans for the weekend?  Whatever you do...BE SAFE & HAVE FUN!

Today's project is a gift that I made for my retreat ladies last weekend! I filled it with CHOCOLATE!  I used a Kraft Pillow Box.  To create the band I used a strip of Pretty Peacock cardstock that I had embossed with the Swirls & Curls embossing folder.  I measures 2" X 8" and both ends are punched with the Delightful Tag Topper punch.  I love how it hangs over the side. I layered Polka Dot Tulle, Scalloped Lace Trip, Pretty Peacock Scalloped Linen ribbon and Linen Thread into kind of a sloppy bow.  The sentiment is from the Butterfly Gala stamp set and is punched out with the Story Label punch!  The pillow box is so versatile!  Use it for back to school gifts, upcoming Halloween treats, Thanksgiving place settings and Christmas treats!  Don't forget Valentines Day will be here soon too...LOL!!! Oh the possibilities!

Dandelion Wishes - Elegant Anniversary

Good Morning Everyone!  Yep...it's still morning...BARELY!!! Man...I slept in until nine o'clock this morning!  I NEVER do that!  The weird thing is...I still feel tired!  My chores are done and I'm getting ready to drive to Redding to watch my daughter play volleyball.  I love cheering my kiddos on!  Before I go I have a beautiful anniversary card to share with you!  ENJOY!!

I used the Swirls & Curls embossing folder to emboss a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I tied a bow around the embossed piece using 3/8" Silver Metallic Edged ribbon and then attached it with dimensions to a 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" Whisper White card base.  Next I stamped the sentiment using the Dandelion Wishes stamp set onto a stitched circle cut with the Stitched Shapes framelits. It is stamped in Gray Granite ink and attached to a Pearlized Doily and then to the card with dimensionals.  I also frayed some Whisper White Flax ribbon, separating it into strands and tied another bow.  I punched some small flowers and added some pearls to finish it off!  I love how it!

Let It Ride

Hello everyone!  I've been busy organizing photos and trying to figure out what I've blogged and what I haven't!  UGHH!!! My goal is to now stay on top of things!  How's your day going so far??  Were you able to cruise through the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop last night or this morning?  There are some FANTASTIC ideas!

I have a couple of cards I made for my daughter...one to give to a girlfriend who was graduating 8th grade with her and one as her graduation thank you card!  BOTH...have horses...OF COURSE!!! They are created with the Let It Ride stamp set!

Paper Pumpkin Possibilities - The Gift of Fall

Hello everyone and WELCOME to this evenings Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop!  The kit this month is The Gift of Fall with a fun gift bag.  It also has an awesome add-on with 24 cards and 24 envelopes just in case you'd rather make cards. This months kit is one of my favorites! Here's what I created!

Of course I used one of the bags, but changed it up a bit by adding leaves that I cut with the Gathered Leave dies in the NEW Holiday Catalog.  I also layered fun matching ribbons to the top of the tag and slipped the leaves underneath!

My next project is a basic A2 card with a 4 1/2" X 8 1/2" Pretty Peacock base.  I LOVE this color! Layer one is a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock. It is topped with a 3 3/4" X 5" piece of Crushed Curry cardtock that I embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder. It is attached with dimensionals.  The tag is from the kit and is also attached with dimensionals. I used a vellum leaf (from the kit) and a sprig of Crumb Cake leaves (also from the kit) and the upcoming Gather Together stamp set and Gathered Leaves dies to stamp and cut a few more leaves.  To finish it off I tied Linen Thread and White Bakers Twine into a bow and attached it to the top with a glue dot.

My favorite project is a card I created with the add-on kit.  The card base has beautiful color on the front. Using a  3 1/8" X 4 5/8" piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock I stamped a leaf in the center using the Gather Together stamp set.  I cut it out with the Gathered Leave dies and then embossed the frame with the Subtle Embossing folder and attached it to the card base with dimensionals. The vellum sprig is from the kit as are the gold sequins. I added metallic pearls to the centers of the sequins.  Last, I cut leaves from Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze cardstock and layered each one with dimensionals and added a Linen Thread bow to the stems.   

Here's a visual of how I stamped and cut...just in case I didn't make sense!  lol!

Tuesday's Tip - Mini Curvy Keepsake Box

Hello Everyone!  Happy Tuesday and WELCOME to Tuesday's Tip!  I want to introduce the NEW Mini Curvy Keepsake Box to you!!  YAY!!

Aren't these guys CUTE!  I LOVE the new size!  I used Daffodil Delight, Basic Black and Real Red cardstock.  I also used the Dog Builder punch for the hearts and the 1" Circle Punch for the smile!

Measurements: 

• Whisper White: 5 ½ x 8 ½” (score and fold at 4 ¼”); ½ x 3 ½”; 3 x 4”
• Pretty Peacock: 5 3/8 x 4 1/8”
• Blushing Bride: 5 ¼ x 4”
• Dinoroar DSP: 1 ½ x 5 ¼” 
• Ribbon: 6"

        
Instructions:

1. Emboss Blushing Bride cardstock with the Layer Leaves 3D embossing folder.
2. Stamp greeting with Pretty Peacock ink.
3. Stamp dinosaur with Pineapple Punch ink. Stamp the scales with Flirty Flamingo. Cut out with Dino Dies and Die-Cutting Machine.
4. Attach card layers onto Whisper White card base using SNAIL adhesive. Attach ribbon and greeting with SNAIL Adhesive.
5. Attach dinosaur to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add eye with marker.
