Flourish Thinlits (REDO)

Hello everyone! Hoping all is well with you. Yesterday was a really tough day for me...my son's roommate was killed in a car wreck on Monday and I found out early yesterday. I couldn't stop crying, let alone blog...but I am here today!

Do you remember this card from a couple of weeks ago...it was for a Facebook Hop back on March 7th. I really liked it, but I felt it just needed something more...
...so I decided to re-create it!  The only thing I did differently was dry emboss the Old Olive piece of cardstock with the Elegant Dots embossing folder. Isn't it amazing how one little change can make all the difference!

My card base is 4 1/4" X 11".  My first layer is Old Olive and measures 4 1/8" X 5 3/8". The next layer is Whisper White and measures 4" X 5 1/4". I used the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes framelits to cut an oval out of the Whisper White cardstock.  Notice that it isn't centered. I placed it more toward the top so I would have room for a sentiment at the bottom. I also changed the sentiment which is from the So In Love stamp set.  I attached the oval cut out with Dimensionals to give the card depth. I used the Flourish Thinlits to cut the BEAUTIFUL floral flourish out in Whisper White card stock. I attached the flourish with Multipurpose glue.  I added several Basic Pearls (instead of Rhinestones) to give it just a bit of ELEGANCE.

I really love how this card turned out...it's much better than the original! It's ALWAYS a work in progress...ALWAYS ways to improve!

Hey...thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY! Take time to tell those you love that you love them today!!!

Cake Crazy & Party Animal

Good Morning! It's Friday morning and I'm headed down the mountain to a scrapbooking crop.  Spending today and tomorrow hanging with friends! I won't be scrapbooking though...I'll be organizing!

I do have a FUN birthday card to share with you before I leave!

This card is made with the Crazy Cake stamp set!  It is such a FUN set...lots of potential!  The colors I chose are Cucumber Crush, Mint Macaron, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point and Whisper White.  The first layer is designer paper from the Party Animal Pack.  I layered my stamped image onto a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock and attached it with dimensionals. Such a FUN and FESTIVE card!

Here you can see how I tied a Party Animal embellishment in the top corner.  The image layers are attached with dimensionals so I just wrapped my White Bakers Twine underneath and around the dimensional, bringing it up and tying the embellishment to it with a bow!  SUPER CUTE!!!

Well...I'm gonna head out soon! I hope you have a WONDERFUL WEEKEND.It's gonna be SUNNY and BEAUTIFUL where I'm going...sounds PERFECT!

Thanks so much for stopping by! It makes my heart HAPPY!

Flourish Thinlits, Avant Garden and GREEN

Hello everyone! I sure hope your day is going well!! Things are going pretty good here...so much to do...so little time. I have to remind myself to take one thing at a time!

Tonight at 5pm PST I am participating in another Facebook Hop. Of course I waited til the last minute to create my card! Our theme is GREEN and I just wasn't feeling it! Don't get me wrong...I love Saint Patrick's day...I love Corn Beef and Cabbage...I've even been known to drink a green beer (although I don't like beer)...BUT green just wasn't speaking to me!

I woke up this morning, ran a few errands and then got out to my workshop. I just HAD to come up with something!

So...HERE IT IS!! I really like how it turned out...LOVING the clean and simple look these days!

Speaking of sentiments, mine is from the Avant Garden FREE Sale-A-Bration stamp set.  I attached the oval cut out with Dimensionals to give the card depth. I used the Flourish Thinlits to cut the BEAUTIFUL floral flourish out in Whisper White card stock. I attached the flourish with Multipurpose glue.  I added several Basic Rhinestones to give it just a bit of ELEGANCE.  It's BEAUTIFUL! I hope you feel INSPIRED to create...doesn't have to be green...but it sure is a TOUGH challenge!

Don't forget to join the Facebook Hop tonight at 5pm PST!!!

Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by today! I LOVE sharing what I do with you!
Have a TERRIFIC day...stay SAFE!!

Stylish Stems

Hi there friends! Well...I'm back at it...eating healthy, exercising and trying to get more sleep. Unfortunately, at my age, sleep doesn't come easy...I think I'll start a TWO A.M. Card Club!!! I'm headed down the mountain today to do some MUCH NEEDED grocery shopping before it snows this weekend, but before I leave I have another workshop card to share with you!

The Whisper White card base is 4 1/4" X 11".  The Calypso Coral layer is 4" X 5 1/4" and has been embossed using the Elegant Dots embossing folder. The flower layer is created by taking the largest Stitched Circle framelit, centering the largest flower from the Stylish Stems framelits inside of the Stitched Circle framelit and running it through your Big Shot. I used Whisper White cardstock for a clean look. Once the flower is cut, I backed it with a Calypso Coral circle that I punched using my 2 1/2" circle punch. Once backed, I attached my flower circle to the card base with dimensionals! The Old Olive leaves are also from the Stylish Stems framelits. Clean, simple and BEAUTIFUL!

Hey...THANKS BUNCHES for following me and allowing me to share my creations with you! Have a WONDERFUL WEEKEND! Stay safe and I hope you find time to create!

Beautiful You

GOOD MORNING!!  What a BEAUTIFUL day it is!  Blue skies, snow on the mountain tops and it's suppose to make it to 60 degrees today! I LOVE IT!!!

My card today is from my February workshops...I hope it makes you feel like CELEBRATING!!!

This card is created with the Beautiful You stamp set.  The card base is Basic Black 4 1/4" X 11".  Layer one is Whisper White 4 1/8" X 5 3/8" and layer two is Watermelon Wonder 4" X 5 1/4".  I embossed the Watermelon Wonder cardstock using the Polka Dot embossing folder.  Next I stamped in Memento Black ink onto a 3" X 3" piece of Whisper White cardstock using an image from the Beautiful You stamp set.  I used the same stamp set to stamp the Watermelon Wonder color spot onto her dress. The water is stamped in Pool Party ink using the High Tide stamp set and the sentiment is from the Beautiful You stamp set.  Last, I adhered the stamped image to a 3 1/8" X 3 1/8" piece of Basic Black cardstock and added it to the card base with dimensionals. I left the inside of the card blank, leaving me lots of options as to how to use this card.  I REALLY LOVE this stamp set...it just seems so FUN & FREEING!!!

That's it for today! Thanks so much for checking in!  Don't forget that March is the LAST MONTH of SALE-A-BRATION! Have a TERRIFIC rest of your day!

Falling Petals

Hello friends! I'm home...can't wait to get out to my workshop! I had a WONDERFUL vacation! We didn't get away from the cold though...it snowed in Jerome and was pretty cool in Phoenix, with sprinkles at the Giant's vs. A's game. The hard rain came after the game....THANK GOODNESS!!! Now I'm home and getting back at it...back to working out, eating right and CREATING!

I have the CUTEST card to share with you today that my Up-upline Stella, at Stellar Stamps sent me!
My two FAVORITE things about this card are how Stella used the 3/8" Mint Macaron ribbon as a banner and how she used the Falling Petals embossing folder to emboss only part of the cardstock. That Glimmer heart is adorable and rounding JUST ONE corner of the card is so FUN!

Well...that's it for today! I have lots of laundry to do...and a class tonight...I better get BUSY!!! Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by! Have a FABULOUS day!
