It's My Party and Party Pop-Up Birthday Card

Good morning everyone!  I hope you are all well and revived from your weekend!  My children had last week off celebrating Presidents WEEK...and I just ran around like a chicken with her head cut off!  I drove down the mountain five times...appointment after appointment!  To be fair, I did have a class to teach and I did go looking at wedding venues and I did go to the Bridal Show...so it wasn't all just doctors!  Our first wedding is coming up June 18th...the time is FLYING BY!

I do want to share a card that we made in my class last week!

It's a birthday card made with the It's My Party designer paper found in the Occasions Catalog (page 5).  I really LOVE this paper...it's very FUN and I can't wait to play with more of it!! The top part of the card is Crushed Curry cardstock dry embossed using the Lucky Stars embossing folder.  I added a piece of 1/4" Cotton Ribbon, tying it into a knot and used my Wink of Stella pen to add some sparkle to the embossed stars.

This is the inside of the card.  I used the Party Pop-Up thinlets to add the sentiment and I used scrap pieces of the It's My Party designer paper to add banners which I stapled in.  The photo doesn't show this, but I added some It's My Party Washi tape to the bottom left corner and it really finished it off! It's a great thinlit! One gal suggested SU make Christmas ones...GREAT IDEA!!

Well...that's it for today!  I hope your Tuesday is TERRIFIC!  As always...thanks BUNCHES for stopping by!

Balloon Celebration and Timeless Texture Birthday card

Good Morning! I hope you all had a lovely weekend and FUN Valentines day! My kiddos are off of school this week and we have lots of appointments (my daughter had teeth pulled yesterday to get ready for braces)! Today I have a workshop in Redding so I'm heading down the mountain!  I'm so glad it's today because they are calling for snow on Thursday and Friday! I really like to be home when it snows...it's so relaxing...and if I DON'T HAVE to drive in it...I DON'T!  I do want to share one of the projects we are making today...it's a REALLY CUTE birthday card!

I made this card using the Balloon Celebration and Timeless Textures stamp sets!  (Timeless Textures is a NEW FAVORITE...I'm sure I will be using it often and it goes GREAT with Gorgeous Grunge).  I inked a piece of watercolor paper using Bermuda Bay ink and my Aqua Markers, let it dry and punched it out with the new Balloon Bouquet punch.  The string is stamped with the Balloon Celebration stamp set (this will also make a WONDERFUL stem for a flower...STAY TUNED!). I stamped the texture with Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and Sahara Sand inks using the Timeless Textures stamp set.  I added a little bling with Basic Rhinestones and the bow is tied with Bakers Twine that comes in a combo pack in the Occasions Catalog.

I used the same two stamp sets to decorate the inside of the card!  You know how important that is to me! My daughter turned 11 last week and this is the card that I made for her!  SHE LOVED IT!!! I hope my class today love is too!

Well...that's it for now!  Have a TERRIFIC day! Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by!

Stay safe and warm...and FIND TIME TO CREATE!

14 Days of Love - Day 14 (I'm NUTS 4 YOU!)

Well...it's FINALLY here!  Day 14 of my 14 Days of Love projects!  Today I gave my husband his last treat...and here it is!
I found these really cute canning jars with a chalk board finished lid at The Dollar Store in Redding...and I bought all that they had!  The chicken feeder is from Tractor Supply (or you can find them online).

I cut a 3" X 12" piece of designer paper to wrap around the jar.  It doesn't make it all the way around so I used the Lots of Labels framelits to cut a piece of Corrugated whited cardstock out to cover the opening.  I attached the chalk board lid using dimensionals, but first I added little dots around the edge with my Chalk Marker.

I also used my Chalk Marker to write on the lid. I wrote twice...the second time it took some of the ink off  and I liked the dimensional look so I kept it that way...you just have to re-write before it dries completely to get that look!  I added a Glimmer heart and filled the jar with Wasabi Almonds!  They have a bit of a kick...but are DEFINITELY a MUST TRY!

Well that's it...we've made it through 14 Days of LOVE and my husband LOVED every minute of it...so did my kiddos!  I hope you have had fun following along!

I hope to be back tomorrow...with WHO KNOWS WHAT...but something!

14 Days of Love - Day 13 (You gotta KISS a lot of FROGS!)

Good Morning and Happy SATURDAY!  My daughter and I will be attending a Valentine Brunch this morning...hosted by the men of our church!  It should be a really FUN morning!  I do want to share today's 14 Days of Love project with you first though...it's my sneak peak from a couple weeks ago!

Is he not just the cutest little frog?...or PRINCE? I created him using the Pyramid Pals Thinlits Dies, Extra Large Oval Punch and 3/4", 1/2" Circle punches and the Owl Builder punch.  I really wanted it to say Kiss Me...but Sending a KISS was much better as I filled it with Hershey's Kisses!  I also used a piece or Old Olive designer paper from the Brights Paper Stack for his tummy.  The Glimmer heart and Basic Rhinestone add just the right amount of sparkle!  I inked all of the edges to add dimension!  He is so dang cute...I just LOVE him! I hope you try to make one.  Please let me know what you think and post a photo of your creation! If you need supplies just go to my Stampin' Up! store by clicking here!

My daughter really wanted to make these little guys to share with her class as a Valentine treat...so...we made 27 of them! We did not add the belly, simply because (in my normal fashion) we waited til the last minute to start! In my defense...we did have to get through her birthday...and then the hospital gift shops bake sale...and then we wer able to start her Valentines. (See what I meant about hour by hour)! We also left the Sending a Kiss sentiment off...because...well...that's just gross when you are 11! We didn't distress them with ink either. I still think they are ADORABLE!

I have lots of creations in mind to make with this Pyramid Pals Thinlit! I'm planning on ordering a second one so I can cut them faster.  It's a must have...just like the Curvy Keepsake box...I'm having FUN in my MIND thinking of ideas!

Well...that's it for today!  HAVE a WONDERFUL day...ENJOY your weekend...and find time to CREATE!  Thanks for stopping by!

14 Days of Love - Day 12 (6" X 6" Fold-over bag)

Hello...hello!  Are you ready for the weekend? It's been quite a week at my house with birthdays, bake sales, church things, work, Valentine's Day parties and more...it hasn't been a one day at a time kind of week...it's been an hour at a time kind of week.  I have SURVIVED and today is going to be a LAZY day!

Here is Day 12 of my 14 Days of Love projects...

To make this project you'll need a 6" X 6" piece of designer paper. I used a piece from the Love Blossoms pack.  Score it at 1", 2 3/4", 3 3/4" and 5 1/2".  Turn and score at 1", 4" and 4 1/2".

I decorated it with Candy Dots, White Bakers Twine, a flower from the Itty Bitty flower punch and a Basic Pearl.  The sentiment is from the Groovy Kind of Love stamp set. My husband LOVES dark chocolate so I filled it with Dove dark chocolates.  He told me this morning that he REALLY LOVES all of my treats!

Only TWO days of projects left...be sure to come by tomorrow!  ENJOY your FRIDAY and your WEEKEND!!

14 Days of Love - Day 11 (Tic Tac Candy holder)

Hello Everybody!  I hope your day has been fantastic and fun!  Mine has been so busy that I even forgot to post Day 11 of my 14 Days of Love projects....so here it is!

I found these cute Valentine Tic Tac candies at Winco and had to make a cute holder to hold them!  I just LOVE it!

To make it you'll need a 2" X 10" piece of Real Red Cardstock scored at 1 1/4", 1 5/8", 4 5/8", 5 3/8", 8 3/8" and 8 3/4".  After scoring, use the Scalloped Tag Topper punch at each end of the cardstock.  The LOVE sentiment is from the Groovy Kind of Love stamp set stamped in Real Red ink and punched with the 1/2" circle punch and backed with a 3/4" circle punched in Basic Black.  I added some sparkle with a Basic Rhinestone.  I used some Every Day Chic washi tap to decorate the front and wrapped Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine around the top.  When assembling, I did use dimensionals (stacked two high) to attach the Tic Tacs. I also used Tear & Tape adhesive to attach the tops before tying the Bakers Twine.

That's it for Day 11...I'll be back tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday for the rest of my treats!  Happy Friday tomorrow!

14 Days of Love - Day 10 (Groovy Kinda of Love Vellum Tube)

Good Morning Friends!  Happy Wednesday!  It's my daughter's 11th birthday!  I decorated her door so she has to walk through crepe paper to get out and she wanted eggs, bacon and hash browns for breakfast.  Tonight she wants ribs, chicken alfredo, garlic bread and cauliflower....oh and cupcakes for her dessert! She's such a great kid...she keeps me going for sure!

Today is Day 10 of my 14 Days of Love projects.
This cute little tube is made from the Silver Fancy Vellum.  I cut a 4" X 6" piece of vellum, attaching the long side with Tear & Tape adhesive.  Then I adhered the bottom together and rolled it through a crimper.  After filling it with candy I adhered the top and crimped it closed.  I punched a couple of holes in the top and added a heart that I heat embossed on vellum with silver embossing powder and then punched out with the Sweetheart punch.  The sentiment is heat embossed with black embossing powder and punched out with the Oval Scalloped punch.  Both the heart and the sentiment are from the Groovy Kind of Love stamp set.  I attached them both to the tube with Melon Mambo 1/4" cotton ribbon.  I just LOVE the embossed vellum and the tube is so cute in vellum!  You've gotta give it a try...way cuter in person!

Thanks bunches for stopping by today...come on back tomorrow for Day 11! I hope you have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY....it's ALMOST the weekend...YIPPEE!

14 Days of Love - Day 9 (Heart Bottle and Bloomin' Love)

Hello Everyone!  Another BEAUTIFUL day here in my quaint little mountain town!  It was in the 70's here yesterday...it almost felt hot!  I got out and went for a hike...so nice to see blue skies and sunshine!  I must admit though...I'm hoping for more snow and rain...we need it so badly...still not out of the drought!

It's Day 9 of my 14 Days of Love projects and it's so cute!

I found these really FUN heart shaped bottles online last year and bought a bunch knowing I would be using them during 14 Days of Love! I filled it with HOT TAMALES!  To decorate the bottle I wrapped Gold Metallic Bakers Twine around the neck of the bottle. I made a tag using the Note Tag punch, the Bloomin' Love stamp set and the Chalk Lines stamp set.  I used Whisper White cardstock and a piece of the Corrugated cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment and the hearts in Soft Suede ink, added a Glimmer heart that I punched with the Itty Bitty Heart punch and tied the tag to the bottle using Linen Thread.  It came together so quick and turned out just adorable.  I love how the tags are layered!

We're getting close to the end....Day 10 is tomorrow...DON'T MISS IT! Thanks bunches for stopping by!  Have a TERRIFIC TUESDAY!

14 Days of Love - Day 8 (Salted Almond Tube)

Hello friends!  Sunday is here already...weekends sure go by fast! TOO FAST!!

Today's 14 Days of Love - Day 8.  I bought a tube of Salted Almonds from Starbucks (I save these) and decorated for my sweetheart.  I cut a piece of Love Blossoms designer paper 3 1/2" X 5" and wrapped it around the tube, attaching it with Tear & Tape adhesive.  The sentiment is from the Perfect Pennants stamp set.  I heat embossed it with white embossing powder, punched it out with the 1 3/4" circle punch and sponged the edges with Whisper White Craft Ink using my daubers.  Here's another cute heart punched out of White Corrugated cardstock.  For the top I punched a 1 1/2" circle and gently pushed it inside.  Then I wrapped a piece of Tear & Tape ribbon around the edge so I could adhere a piece of White 1/4" Cotton Ribbon.  I attached the sentiment to the ribbon with a piece of Jute twine that I pulled from the Jute Ribbon.  Don't forget to add a little bling...I added a Basic Rhinestone!  SO CUTE....and if you haven't tried those Salted Almonds....they are DELICIOUS!!

Thanks so much for sharing your Sunday with me and stopping by!  Have a BLESSED day with family and friends!  I'll be back tomorrow with Day 8!

14 Days of Love -Day 7 (Starbucks Frappuccino Bottle)

Good Morning!  It sure is a BEAUTIFUL Sunday afternoon!  The skies are blue...the snow on the mountains is a bright white...the sun is shining!  It's so nice to see the sun in between storms!

I have a quick share today...Day 7 in my 14 Days of Love projects!  I save ALL of my Starbucks Frappuccino bottles...I use them for my retreats and other occasions!  Today I used one for my husbands treat!

I wrapped a 3" X 8 1/2" piece of designer paper (from the Brights Stack) around it to cover it.  I usually remove all the labels, but this time I didn't and it worked just fine! I use Everyday Chic Washi tape to cover any writing that is on the bottles (like dates).  The stamp set I used is Going Global...LOVE this set. I wrapped a piece of 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain around the designer paper using Tear & Tape adhesive before I added the world and sentiment with dimensionals.  The lid is covered with a piece of the same designer paper I used for the band, by punching a circle with my 1 1/2" circle punch. I wrapped a piece of Botanical Gardens Washi tape around the edge of the lid before adhering the Bermuda Bay Sequins Trim.  I added a glimmer heart that I punched with the Itty Bitty Heart punch to add a little sparkle to the bottle!

I decided to fill it with Sweet Tarts! My husband absolutely LOVES Sweet Tarts!  Every night before I go to bed I put his treat for the next day right by his coffee pot so he finds it first thing every morning!  He is LOVING it!

Don't forget to stop by tomorrow for Day 8!  Have FUN watching the Super Bowl...or the COMMERCIALS...or the Half Time Show...or ALL OF IT!  Just have a GREAT DAY!

14 Days of Love - Day 6 (Tiny Treat Box)

Happy Saturday!  Hope you have a FABULOUS weekend!  I have Day 6 of my 14 Days of Love projects to share with you today!  I hope you get some creating done today!

This treat is made with the Tiny Treat Box.  I heat embossed Cherry Cobbler hearts on it using the Work of Art stamp set.  The bow is made with the Bow Builder punch and the little heart was punched from Corrugated cardstock with the Itty Bitty heat punch.  I really LOVE that Corrugated cardstock.  Can't wait to play with it on some cards...SO CUTE!  I filled it with a BIG CHERRY which is one of my husbands favorite candies.  (By the way...he LOVES Good and Plenty's...I sure lucked out!).  I hope you have some of these boxes on hand and get to make some this weekend!

I'll be back on Sunday for Day 7...so be sure to check in!  ENJOY every minute of your weekend! Thanks bunches for following along!

14 Days of Love - Day 5 (Tall Tube Box)

Hey there!  HAPPY Friday!  Are you ready for the weekend?  I'm ready to sleep in...that's one of the best parts of the weekend for me!  Not getting up at five in the morning!

I hope you are having FUN following along with my 14 Days of Love projects!  I also hope it's helping to get your creative juices flowing!

I have a really cute box to share with you today! I used the Love Blossoms designer paper.  Cut the 6 X 6 paper to be 5 1/2" X 6".  On the 6" side score at the 1" mark.  On the 5 1/2" side score at 1 1/2", 2", 2 1/2", 4" and 5". Fold on all of the score lines.

Once folded, cut all score lines on the 5 1/2" side just up to 1" mark.  Cut the small rectangle completely away (as seen in the bottom left of this photo).  This is the bottom of your box...fold all sides in attaching with Tear and Tape adhesive.  Fold the sides in at the top (not creasing) and punch two holes for your ribbon to go through.  I tied it together with 1/4" White Cotton Ribbon.  The sentiment is from the Banner Banter stamp set and is cut out with the Handpicked framelit.  It's pretty darn easy and is so cute!  Fill it with your sweethearts FAVORITE candy!

Well..that's it for today!  I hope you have fun making these!  Thanks for stopping by!  Come back tomorrow (I know I don't normally post on weekends...but Saturday and Sunday are part of my 14 Days of Love).  Have a FABULOUS WEEKEND!

14 Days of Love - Day 4 (Mini Canning Jar)

Good Morning!  I'm at it early this morning!  I've already gone to the gym and I have a hair appointment this morning, then into the office for a couple of hours, then lunch with a neighbor, then back to the gym with my kids! Why do I schedule days like that?  I hate going from one thing to the next, to the next!

I do have my 14 Day's of Love project to share with you today!  It's another simple one!

I found these cute little jars at World Market (Cost Plus). I filled it with Good and Plenty candies tied a piece of Pool Party 3/8" Glitter Ribbon around the top and attached a tag with a piece of Bermuda Bay Baker's Twine.  The tag is made with the Pictogram Punches stamp set.  I stamped it with Memento Black ink and covered the stamped heart with a punched heart in Rose Red (it matches the Good and Plenty candies perfectly).  I added a Basic Rhinestone to the heart and was finished.  The bad thing is...I'm not sure if my husband likes Good and Plenty's...WHOOPS...it's the thought that counts right!

Thanks bunches for joining me again today! Stop by tomorrow for Day 5!

14 Days of Love - Day 3 (Mini Muslin Bag)

Hey There!  Hope all is well with you today!  It's a bit gloomy here...waiting for another storm to arrive...I'm hoping we get more snow!  It's so peaceful watching it fall quietly from the sky!  It's one of my favorite things to do during the winter months!

Today is Day 3 of my 14 Days of Love and here is the treat I gave my husband this morning!

This project is SO VERY SIMPLE.  I used the Mini Muslin bags and stamped hearts using the Work of Art stamp set!.  The sentiment is from the Friendly Wishes stamp set and is stamped in Early Espresso onto a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock. Then I cut it out with the Chalk Talk Framelits. I distressed the edges with Early Espresso ink and a dauber, added a Glimmer heart, filled the bag with DOVE dark chocolate hearts and tied the tag to the bag with a piece of 1/4" Real Red Cotton Ribbon.

SIMPLE...SIMPLE...SIMPLE!!!

I hope you are having fun and finding inspiration with my 14 Days of LOVE projects!  I've sure been having FUN giving them to my hubby!  (I think he LOVES receiving them too)!

Join me again tomorrow for Day 4!  Thanks bunches for stopping by! ENJOY the rest of your day and I hope you find a moment to create!!

14 Days of Love - Day 2 (Baker's Box)

Hello everyone!  What a BEAUTIFUL day it is!  We woke up to about four inches of snow and it is gently snowing as I type this post!  I just LOVE it...it is so calming!  I have to put windows in my shop so I can watch it snow as I create...hey guess what...I've already got the bid to do just that!

Well...today is day two of my 14 Days of Love treats!  I leave them by the coffee pot so my husband finds them when he wakes up.  Today I have a cute treat box that I made with the Baker's Box Thinlits.

The designer paper I used is from the Love Blossoms 6 X 6 stack. You'll need two pieces to make the box...so EASY!  I punched two holes in the top with my 1/8" circle punch and tied a bow with a piece of 1/4" Cotton Blushing Bride Ribbon.  I added a heart punched with the Sweetheart punch in Corrugated White paper and a Blushing Bride Glimmer heart punched with the Itty Bitty Heart punch. I stamped the sentiment using the Bear Hugs stamp set and cut that heart out with the Bear Hugs Framelits Dies.  I filled it with a dark chocolate marshmallow heart!

I just had to share the beauty that I woke up to this morning!  LOVIN' LIFE INDEED!!

That's it for today!  Head on back tomorrow for Day 3 of my 14 Days of Love projects!  I hope you have a BEAUTIFUL and BLESSED day! Thanks so much for stopping by!

14 Days of Love - Day 1 (Bee Mine Curvy Keepsake Box)

Good Morning friends!  It's a BEAUTIFUL sunny day here...with snow on the mountain tops and blue skies!  I'm sitting here looking out my window at the beautiful scenery as I type this post!  I just had a wonderful, surprise visit from a dear friend!  I just LOVE it when that happens!

Well...it's February 1st...the first day of the LOVE MONTH and I have a 14 Day's of Love project to share with you!

I made this cute little BEE MINE box last year, but decided to do it again because I've had so many requests for a tutorial on it!

It's made with the Curvy Keepsake Box framelit, Circle punches, Note Tag punch, Owl Builder Punch (hearts) and the Large Oval punch.

I stamped mine using the Back to Basics Alphabet stamp set and those cute lines are stamped with the Chalk Lines stamp set.  I drew the mouth on by hand and the eyes are Candy Dots.

Below is a cheat sheet on I how used the punches!

SUPER EASY...and SUPER CUTE!

My class was a BLAST...we had dinner, visited and crafted from 6:30 until 11:30...WHEW...we finished before the clock struck midnight!  Who knows what we might have turned into...lol!

Thanks bunches for stopping by!  Don't forget to check back tomorrow for Day 2 of my 14 Days of Love projects!
