Adam

Hello everyone!

I haven't blogged in a while and if you follow me on Facebook you know why but if you only follow my blog you have no idea.

Three weeks ago today, my youngest son, Adam, who was 16 died in a car wreck.  Of course I am heartbroken along with my family.  We didn't have Adam long enough but cherish the 16 1/2 years that we did have with him.  We have a strong faith and know that Adam walks with Jesus and that we will see him again!  That brings great comfort and has given me a whole new perspective of heaven.  Jesus walks beside me every day...carrying me through this oh so difficult time and I will continue to trust in Him.

I haven't felt much like creating until yesterday when a couple of friends came over and hung out with me in my shop.  We just visited, shared stories and a few tears!  I am blessed to have so many people caring, loving and praying for me.  Today...I'm heading out to my shop to get started on my June classes.  I know that creating will help me heal...it has with other heartbreaks.

I'm not sure I'll be blogging everyday as I have in the past, I'm going to take it slowly.  I do have a bunch of handmade cards that I have received. They are all so beautiful and I will be sharing each of them with you the next week or two.

I hope you have a wonderful day and that you find a moment or two for creating.  Enjoy your weekend and cherish the life you've been given!!  I love what I do and sharing what I do.  My Stampin' Up! business is such a gift to me. It has brought so many friends into my life...it's not just a business to me, it's a family! Thanks for following my blog and being part of my stamping family!

I appreciate your prayers, love and support!  THANK YOU!

Note Cards, Garden Impressions and Southern Serenade

Good Morning and HAPPY FRIDAY!  Yay...it's almost the weekend!  I'm heading down the mountain today...gonna spend the night with my oldest daughter then take my youngest daughter shopping tomorrow, for her eighth grade graduation dress and shoes!  It's ALWAYS fun to see as many of my kids as I can!

Today's card is another card from my May classes.  It's very sweet and simple!

This card starts with a Very Vanilla Note Card base. These note cards also come in Whisper White.  You get 20 cards and 20 envelopes for $6.50.  The first layer is a 3 1/4 X 4 3/4 piece of Blueberry Bushel cardstock.  Next is a 3 X 4 1/2 piece of Garden Impressions designer paper.  Before attaching it to the card base, I wrapped Calypso Coral Ombre  Ribbon around it, tying it into a bow.  The sentiment is from the Southern Serenade stamp set (retiring) and the flowers are punched with the Bitty Blooms punch pack (sadly these are gone already...I just found that out on Wednesday). Each flower has a Pearl in the center!  I love the simplicity of this card and the ease of creating it!  I hope you'll give it a try!

Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by today!  I love sharing what I do with you each day!  It keeps me creating and that is my therapy!!  Have a WONDERFUL day and a TERRIFIC weekend!  I have a scrapbook layout to share with you on Scrappin' Saturday, so I hope you'll stop back by tomorrow!

Amazing Life Masculine Birthday Card

Hello there! Happy Thursday!  Hope you're having a wonderful day!  I'd like to share a masculine card that we are making in my monthly classes in May!  I LOVE the Wood Textures designer paper and I'm so sad it's leaving!

So,  I rarely use Very Vanilla cardstock.  WHY?  I do not know!  I'm going to start using it more often!

My card base is a 5 1/2" X 11"piece of Very Vanilla cardstock scored at 4 1/4".  My first layer is Basic Black and measures 4" X 5 1/4". Next is a 3 1/4" X 5" piece of that awesome (and retiring) Wood Textures designer paper!  I cut the rectangle with my Rectangle Stitched Framelits and used the Amazing Life stamp set for the sentiment!  It is stamped in Memento Black ink.  I added a Metallic Brad and some Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon to finish it off!  Inside the card is a 4" X 5 1/4" layer of Basic Black cardstock with a 3 3/4" X 5" layer of Very Vanilla cardstock where I stamped HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I'm really enjoying including masculine cards in my classes.  It's a challenge, but I feel so accomplished when I through! lol

Hey...thanks so much for stopping by today!  Have a great day and I hope you carve out a bit of time to create!

Garden Impressions and Country Floral - Negative Space

Hello there!  How's it going this morning? Mornings can be so wonderful...but can also be so hectic...today is a good day and I am thankful! I'm starting a new class today! I'm SO EXCITED!!  Before I head out I want to share a with you with a banner like I demonstrated on my Tuesday's Tip video this week!

I LOVE this card...hope you do too!  My card base is a 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" piece of Whisper White cardstock and is scored at 4 1/4".  My first layer is also Whisper White and measures 4" X 5 1/4".  First I cut a circle in it with my Stitched Shapes Framelits then embossed it with the Country Floral embossing folder.  Next, I cut a 3" X 3" piece of Garden Impressions designer paper and adhered it to my card base (where the open circle will let it show) and then I attached the embossed layer with dimensionals.  I cut a banner with my Rectangle Stitched Framelits (see yesterdays video) and stamped the sentiment with VersaMark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  I tied a couple threads from the White Flax Ribbon around the side of the first layer, into a bow to finish it off.  Did I say I LOVE it?  I hope you'll give it a try! If you need any of these supplies click on SHOP NOW and it will take you directly to my Stampin' Up! store!
