Life...

Good Morning! It's cool and crisp...reviving for another day of hot weather! Not to hot though...in the 90's...I can handle that! I'm sorry I didn't post yesterday...it was crazy busy!  I worked in the morning then took my son to Eureka to buy a truck...that was an all day thing!

I'm leaving now to go pick up my daughter from camp!  I've traveled about 1000 miles in the last few days!

I'll try to post another project when I get home...I should have scheduled one last night, but I was so tired and went to bed!

Enjoy your weekend!! Thanks for stopping by!

Summer FUN...with Colorful Seasons Stamps and Seasonal Layers Thinlits

Hello there! How's your day going?  BUSY I bet...because it's SUMMERTIME! I hope you are enjoying every moment of it!

As you know from yesterday's post, I took my daughter and another young lady to camp yesterday. It was  a 3 1/2 hour drive so two ice teas and a coffee later I really had to use the facilities.  I got them checked in and settled into there cabins and top bunks then walked quickly to the bathroom!  I made it just in time but boy do I have a FUNNY story to share with you!

I finished up, turned to flush....heard a CLANK and realized that my keys had fallen out of my pocket and into the toilet and were quickly disappearing into nowhere land. As fast as I could, I reached into the toilet as it was swirling and my finger touched just the tip of a key.  I pressed hard as the water was rushing and trying to pull the keys down...down...down.  I pushed my hand as far down  the drain as I could trying DESPERATELY to hold on. Today I have a bruise on my thumb knuckle as my witness!  All the while I was squealing no no no no no no no...! I can only imagine what the teenage girls were thinking as I victoriously emerged from the stall...a little wet...a little panicked but holding DRIPPING KEYS in hand!  DISASTER AVOIDED! Boy was my heart beating fast...how would I explain that to the AAA tow truck driver...or my husband!?!?!

Well...anyways...I'm relieved to be home and I have a FUN card to share with you today....and no, it does not involve toilets or keys! We had a team sketch challenge and this was my submission!

My card base is Whisper White with the first layer being Crumb Cake! For my second layer I embossed a piece of Crushed Curry cardstock with the Oh My Stars embossing folder...I think they look like little suns! Next I embossed a piece of Pool Party cardstock using the Seaside embossing folder, leaving the bottom plain so I could heat emboss some sand over it!  I used the Seasonal Layers thinlits to cut out my Daffodil Delight beach chair and the Umbrella Weather framelits to cut out my umbrella in Pumpkin Pie cardstock with a decorative piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock. The pole is from the same framelit set.  I tied a piece of Crushed Curry and Pool Party Bakers Twine around it and into a bow. SUPER CUTE I think!

For the inside of the card I added another chair in Bermuda Bay and heat embossed some more sand. The sentiment is from the Colorful Seasons stamp set.  This stamp set and the Seasonal Layers framelits can be purchased as a bundle for $54.00...item #145348 (page 147). You'll probably be seeing a lot of this set on my blog...and on Pinterest!

This is the sketch that we were challenged with! We had 15 entries and it was so much fun to see all the creative ideas that were shared! I love sketches...especially when I'm blocked creatively...they help me get started sometime!

If you decide to try this sketch, I'd love to see your creation!  Come back and post it on my blog in the comments section!

Hey...thanks BUNCHES for stopping by!  Have a FABULOUS day! Hope to see you back tomorrow!

Happy Birthday Thinlit

Good Morning everyone! WOW...another BEAUTIFUL day...cooler weather...almost 20 degrees cooler and I LOVE it! The only bad thing about it is that I'm gonna be driving all day! YEP...I'm headed to Mount Hope Bible Camp in Forbestown, California...or Challenge, California depending on what map app I use.  Fortunately, they are in the same spot so I will be going in the right direction! I'm dropping my daughter off and another young lady from church...so I'll be getting on the road soon! Camp sounds like so much FUN! My older children all went to Hume Lake Christian Camp in the the Sequoia National forest...it was GORGEOUS and they had so much fun...but it's nine hours away, so not really an option.  Kate will have a great time...she's hoping a friend she met last year from Stockton, CA is going, they write each other...yep... SNAIL MAIL. I think that is so cool...they come from different parts of the state to one camp...year after year and can continue friendships!

Anyway...I have a card to share with you today that we made at my classes this month.  I have so much FUN at my classes!

This card has a Very Vanilla card base with its first layer being the NEW In-Color Tranquil Tide cut to 4 1/8" X 5 5/8". I used a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Watercolor paper and colored Lemon Lime Twist Ink onto it using my Aqua Painter. I love the look that this tool creates. I was able to make it darker at the bottom simply by adding more ink. The sentiment is cut with the Happy Birthday thinlit from Tranquil Tide cardstock.  I added a bow (and some color) with the Berry Burst 5/8" Crinkled Seam Binding...LOVE THIS RIBBON! Last, I finished it off by adding a few Glimmer Enamel Dots!

I wanted to add a little color to the inside of the card, but wanted to have plenty of room to write a note so I just added a scrap piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock with a layer of Berry Burst designer paper form the Fresh Florals designer paper pack!  I LOVE these colors together!

Well..that's it for today!  THANKS BUNCHES for stopping by!  Have a FABULOUS day and I sure hope you find time to CREATE!! I hope I get home in time to get out into my workshop to create as well!

Rose Garden and Rose Wonder with Fresh Florals

Hello everyone! My husband left town today to go hang (and ride bicycles) with two of our adult sons.  Kate and Adam are home with me and we are getting ready for a baby shower at our house tomorrow morning! They both are helping me clean, Kate made lemon cupcakes with homemade lemon buttercream frosting...YUM!! We have some DELICIOUS food made and some FUN games ready to play!

I wanted to share another birthday card that I made recently.

This card is made with the Fresh Florals paper pack...I still LOVE our new color, Lemon Lime Twist! The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Rose Wonder stamp set and is stamped in Fresh Fig ink onto a circle cut with the Stitched Shapes framelits. I used the Rose Garden Thinlits to cut the flower from Fresh Fig cardstock and added a Rimmed Pearl to the center. Isn't it simply BEAUTIFUL?!?! It comes together quickly too!

Well...I'm off to do some more work on the baby shower!  FUN times are ahead!

Thanks so VERY MUCH for stopping by my blog so I can share what I love to do with YOU!

Have a WONDERFUL WEEKEND!!

Life's Short...Live it with ZEST!!

Good morning friends!  It's a BEAUTIFUL Thursday, I sure hope it is for you as well! I came home after a FANTASTIC class to lots of trees down at my house. It was so hard to take them out...but it is our only level area...I'll plant more once the riding arena is in!

I went to the gym this morning and the BOOTCAMP instructor had a card game for us to play! Oh man...it was the hardest workout! This is how it worked...Jokers we had to jump rope for two minutes; Spades we had to do burpees or push-up, row, row; Hearts we had to do Speed Skating; Clubs we had to do ball pike/inchworms; and Diamonds we had to do ball squats....2 through 10 times each (the number on the card) and Aces were 20 of each! I came home so EXHAUSTED that I had to go back to bed! Now I'm up and going again...hopefully I'll be able to move tomorrow!  It's the stairs...and going to the bathroom that are the hardest when I'm sore from a workout!

Did I mention that I had a FABULOUS class yesterday! Fourteen ladies attended and things went so smoothly...well except that I forgot the paper mats and the order forms! Thank goodness all the pieces for the cards were there!  The guys came to do the tree work early and I had to leave before I got stuck...I thought I was so organized, but in the rush...I forgot a few things!

Here is one of the cards we made! I just LOVE it! The Whole Lot of Lovely designer paper pack is absolutely GORGEOUS!! I have to order more!!!!

The card base is Whisper White with its first layer being Pear Pizzazz. I embossed the top part of the Pear Pizzazz cardstock with the Layered Leaves Dynamic embossing folder. I added a piece of the Whole Lot of Lovely designer paper to the bottom of the cardstock...that's why I only embossed the top!  Next I wrapped a piece of Crushed Curry 3/8" Mini Chevron ribbon around the Pear Pizzazz piece of cardstock, hiding the line from the designer paper.  The Life's Short sentiment is from the Lemon Zest stamp set and is stamped in Memento Black ink onto a Stitched Circle. The lemon is from the same set and is stamped in Crushed Curry then punched out using the Lemon Builder punch.  I punched the leaves out or Pear Pizzazz paper and then stamped them (in Pear Pizzazz in) by laying each leaf onto the stamps.

I think the inside of the card is SUPER CUTE! I stamped another lemon in Crushed Curry ink and then the "Live it with Zest" sentiment over the lemon using Memento Black ink! Of course...a lemon on your envelope would be adorable too!

Hey...thanks for stopping by today! I'll be sharing more class cards as well as a few more church birthday cards over the next few days, so be sure to stop back in! I LOVE sharing my creations with you all!

Have a TERRIFIC rest of your Thursday!

Eastern Medallion

Good Morning and HAPPY WEDNESDAY! Hope all is well with you and yours and that you're finding time to create...it's really hard this time of year if you have children at home! Lately my daughter has been going out to my workshop with me and making halters and lead ropes for her Breyer horses. I gave her some of my retired ribbon, Baker's Twine and Thick Bakers Twine and she is having a blast! Almost all of her horses have NEW TACK!

So I'm heading down the mountain for a workshop this morning and while I'm gone River Restoration is taking TEN trees out to put in the Trinity River for salmon habitat and our trees are being taken out for FREE!  It would have cost us at least $10,000 to have that many trees removed! It's gonna be crazy loud and messy, but we'll be able to put up a small riding arena for my daughter and her horse Cheyenne (I call her Annie). She's really excited and although I'm sad to be losing so many trees, I'm excited for her! Remember this...THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A FREE HORSE!!!!

Today's card is created with the EXQUISITE Eastern Medallions Thinlits. There are SO MANY possibilities with these dies! The paper is from the Fresh Florals designer paper pack.  I know you've heard this before...I LOVE the NEW In-Colors...especially the Lemon Lime Twist, which I used for this card!

The sentiment I used is from the Best Birds stamp set and I used one of the NEW Clear Faceted Gems for the center of the medallion! These are COOL and come in gold as well! You'll be seeing more of these and the Eastern Medallion thinlits in future posts!

Here's a look at the thinlit dies! Can you see the possibilities! You can purchase just the dies or you can get them as a bundle with the Eastern Beauty stamp set and the really cool thing is you can shop right from my blog by clicking on shop now on the top left!

Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by today! I hope you have been inspired! Have a wonderful rest of your day!

Balloon Bouquet Punch

Hey there...GOSH IS IT HOT!! Are you staying HYDRATED?!?!?! Sorry to be blogging so late today...I hung out with my kiddos today.  We had some chores to do this morning while it was cool, then some a trip to town for an ice cream and now I'm at my computer...which is right by the air conditioner!  I am so grateful!  I can't complain too much though...I have a son in Phoenix where it is 119 degrees and two sons in Woodland where it is 107 degrees...and all of my friends down in Redding where it is 108 degrees! CRAZY hot...and it came on so quickly, I'm just not ready for it. Even my husband, who LOVES the heat, says he's having a hard time with it because it hit so quickly! The nice thing about the little mountain town that I live in is that is cools down almost every evening...into the high 50's or low 60's...that helps with sleeping and gives me time to get outside chores or walks done before it gets hot! Well...ENOUGH about the weather! I have a workshop down the mountain tomorrow which I have been busy getting ready for.  I'm so excited to be sharing new products with my ladies!

Today, however I have some more birthday cards to share with you!  I have some retired birthday paper that I wanted to use to put some quick and easy cards together...here goes!

The SUPER FESTIVE cards came together so quickly! The background paper is from the RETIRED...It's My Party designer paper pack. I can't wait to make these with some current designer paper...my order came in last night! I used my Balloon Bouquet punch (which is available in the NEW CATALOG) to punch several different balloons and dry embossed them with my Softly Falling embossing folder.

After layering my designer paper onto Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, Whisper White and Sahara Sand cardstock, I attached the balloons with dimensionals.  I also attached a piece of matching Bakers Twine. Some I let hang freely, tying a bow around the lip of the balloon.  Some I tied a bow at the bottom and adhered with Multipurpose Glue. They all have a birthday sentiment on the inside! FUN!

Tomorrow I have my workshop so I will be gone all morning! I'm gonna miss a lot of excitement at my house...don't miss the details...come back tomorrow to see what's up!

Thanks SO VERY MUCH for stopping by today!  I LOVE sharing my creations with you!

"Make-It Monday" Daisy Delight

Good Morning everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed your time celebrating fathers...with time...with memories...with laughter, perhaps even some tears! Church was wonderful this morning, then we BBQ'd baby back ribs and sausage, enjoyed macaroni salad and baked beans...FORGOT the corn on the cob, ate too much garlic bread...DEVOURED the Lemon Meringue and Coconut Cream pies...played Mexican Train until it was cool enough to go outside and play some cornhole! FUN..FUN...FUN!!! Not all the kid made it home, but it was still a terrific day...we appreciate and TREASURE any time we get to spend with our children! At the end of the day...before I went to bed and all ways quiet, I took some time to look at old photos of my dad and remember how good he was to me, how he always cheered me on, how he loved me and I loved him.  To end the night I reflected on how grateful I am for a Heavenly Father who is always there...constant...loving...disciplining...forgiving...I am BLESSED!

Well...it's "Make-It Monday" time...this was shared with me by my up-upline, Stella MacKay and I just had to share it with you! This Daisy punch is scheduled to be available for order on June 26th...it's a GREAT punch! ENJOY!!!

Using a small piece of tape or the stapler, attach all circles together so they stay put. Tape to front of card taking care to tape it in a place that will be covered by the daisy.

Big on Birthdays

Good Morning! I hope you all rested well last night and are going strong today!!! I'm so EXCITED...I get to work in my workshop ALL DAY!! My plan is to get it COMPLETELY organized so I can spend my time CREATING!!! To make it even better, a friend is coming over to hang out! This is a rare thing on a Friday, because my husband is usually off and we hang out, but today they are putting the town of Hayfork OUT OF POWER!!! It's a small town not a huge city, but I'm sure people will not be happy...even though they were given notice. My power doesn't go out very often, but when it does I LOVE getting the lanterns out and playing board games with the kids. I have a gas cooktop, so I can still fix meals...it's kind of an adventure! Now...if I have to be without my car...that's a different story. Just the thought of not being able to go somewhere if I wanted to...drives me crazy...EVEN if I have NO WHERE TO GO!! Silly isn't it?

Today's card is another super simple birthday card! It has a Whisper White card base with a layer of Fresh Fig designer paper from the Fresh Floral pack (AGAIN)! This is FANTASTIC paper!  I can't wait to play with some more colors!  The stamp set that I used is Big on Birthdays...I LOVE IT!! I stamped in Memento Black ink then colored the flowers in with my Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Marker and the leaves with my Pear Pizzazz Stampin' Write.

Isn't this a GREAT set?!?! It sure makes QUICK and EASY cards...just what I needed to get caught up on my June cards for church. Now they are in the pastor's hands for him to sign and send out! On to July...which has about 30 Birthday's and Anniversaries! YIKES!! I think I need to have a birthday card making party!

Well...ENJOY your weekend! Work a little...play a little and find time to CREATE! Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by!

Basket of Wishes

Hey there....good evening!  Super late blogging today!!! It's been a whirlwind kind of day!  I worked this morning and came home to find my son, Seth home from Lufkin, Texas...so we just hung out this afternoon, went out to dinner and he just left to go to my oldest son, Trevor's house for a visit! I'm so excited...he's moving back to California and I'll get to see him so much more!!! My tribe is getting closer to home!  I am BLESSED!

Before I head bed I want to share another card with you!]

This is a card that I was originally going to use as a birthday card, but I needed an anniversary card...cool that it can work either way!  I used the a piece of Fresh Fig designer paper from the Fresh Florals designer paper pack. It is layered onto a piece of Fresh Fig cardstock and then onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock. The sentiment is from the Basket of Wishes stamp set and is stamped in Fresh Fig ink onto a square piece of Whisper White cardstock cut using the Stitched Shapes framelits...LOVE THEM!!! The flower is made using Fresh Fig cardstock, cut with the Rose Garden Thinlits and adhered with a dimensional.  The center of the flower is a Clear Faceted Gem! Totally CLEAN and SIMPLE card that comes together so quickly!

SOOOO...THANKS BUNCHES for stopping by today! I had a FANTASTIC day and hope you did as well!  I'll see ya tomorrow!

Fresh Florals Designer Paper

Hey there everyone! I hope you having a FANTASTIC morning!  So far mine has been very relaxing! I accidentally ignored my alarm this morning, so I missed my spin class....let me explain!

My workout buddy told me she uses her FITBIT as her alarm clock in the morning and is awakened by buzzing on her wrist. I thought I would try that instead of my phone. The only problem was that I'm used to my FITBIT buzzing when I haven't walked in awhile, telling me to eat and letting me know I have a text or a phone call. Well...when I felt my wrist buzzing at 5am my first thought was WHO IS CALLING ME SO EARLY THIS MORNING...so I ignored it...TWICE!  When I did wake up at 8am...it was with a fright...could that have been one of my adult kids?  There was NO CALL...that was when I realized that it was my alarm! That meant no riding my bike down to the gym in time to use the treadmill for half an hour and then my spin class. I'm trying to get in shape before my family trip to Las Barriles in February of 2018...alas, today my plan was foiled! I must admit that I did enjoy sleeping in though!

Some of you know that I participate in a card ministry at my church, sending birthday and anniversary cards out to our congregation. Yesterday I made ten birthday cards and two anniversary cards. Today I'd like to share one of the birthday cards (my daughter's pick).

I'm behind on June birthdays, so I wanted to make some really simple cards. I LOVE our new In-Color Lemon Lime Twist, so of course, that is the color I chose for this card! My card base is Whisper White with it's first layer in Lemon Lime Twist cut to 4 1/8" X 5 3/8".  My next layer, 4" X 5 1/4", is designer paper from the Fresh Florals 12" X 12" pack. BEAUTIFUL!!! The sentiment is from the Cool Treats stamp set and is stamped in Lemon Lime Twist ink.  I added Glitter Enamel Dots...they are so FUN and add just a bit of color! Clean and simple...I was able to make TWELVE cards in about two hours!  Of course I'll be sharing them with you over the next few days!!

Hey...THANKS BUNCHES for stopping by! I LOVE that I get to do what I LOVE to do and then get to SHARE it with YOU!!! Have a WONDERFUL rest of your day! I'm off to a baseball game, but I'll be back tomorrow to share again!

Colorful Seasons

Hello there crafty friends! Hope all is well with you today! I'm a little late posting today because I've been out in my workshop CREATING and LOVING every minute of it! A friend stopped by to play for a little while and I was thrilled to have the company...it's always nice to spend time with folks who enjoy doing the things you like to do! I did take a short break to watch Kate lunge her horse. I am so blessed to still have kids at home that I can share in their passions...be it baseball or horses!

Well...yesterday was and AMAZING day at sewing class with my daughter! I can't wait to tell you all about it, but we haven't finished our projects yet and I want to share it all at once!

Today's card is one I've been wanting to create for some time, but I'm really glad I hadn't yet because a NEW stamp set (Colorful Seasons) in the NEW catalog finished it of perfectly!

This card is made using three different stamp sets. First I used the High Tide stamp set for the sandy beach, which is stamped in Sahara Sand. Next I stamped the ocean water using the same stamp set and Bermuda Bay ink. Third, I used the Colorful Seasons stamp set to stamp the beach chair in Memento Black and Pumpkin Pie inks (two-step stamping). The trunk of the palm tree is stamped with the Work of Art stamp in Soft Suede. The grass is stamped in Pear Pizzazz and the seagulls are stamped in Memento Black ink...both are from the High Tide stamp set.  I created the palm tree leaves using the Paisley framelits with Pear Pizzazz cardstock and the coconuts are made using the 3/4" Circle punch and Soft Suede cardstock. I dry embossed the palm leaves and the coconuts with the Softly Falling embossing folder.  The word breathe is again from the Colorful Seasons stamp set.  It actually says JUST BREATHE, but that didn't fit onto the card the way I wanted it to, so I used my SU marker to color just the word breathe and stamped it onto a Stitched Oval. I LOVE how it turned out and so does my daughter...she wants to send it to a friend!

Well...I hope you are inspired to think out of the box a bit when you are creating!  It always excites me when I discover an unusual way of using a tool!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  You know...I LOVE sharing what I LOVE doing!  Have a FANTASTIC afternoon!  I'll be back tomorrow, MUCH EARLIER...as I have lots of creations ready to share now!

"Make-It Monday" Crafting Forever

Good Morning everyone!  Happy Monday! Are you ready for your week? Every week I think...things are gonna slow down...but they never seem to! I had a great weekend with family and friends...and baseball!  It's always nice to visit and catch up! I enjoyed having a six month old and a four year old around the house too!  Today I'm heading down the mountain to take a sewing class with my daughter, Kate.  It's a bag class and it will either be a ton of FUN or totally FRUSTRATING! Either way...it's time with my girl!

It's "Make-It Monday" time!  ENJOY!!

Glossy Card Stock Techniques

Hey there crafty friends! I know...I know...it's Saturday, but I REALLY wanted to share these FANTASTIC techniques from Thursday's Stampin' UP! Blog! I can't wait to get this Glossy White Cardstock in my hands so I can PLAY!! Expect to see these techniques in a class or two!  I'd LOVE it if you would comment below which techniques you like the best...if you're come to my classes we'll try your favorites first!

MY HEART IS GLOSSED OVER WITH HAPPINESS

Hello, friends! I’m thrilled to be writing for the Stampin’ Up! blog this week. I’ve been playing with some of my new favorites from the 2017–2018 annual catalog (US/CA) and I’m bursting at the seams with my excitement over these new products!
If you’ve been stamping for a long time, you may have been as thrilled as I was to find that Glossy White Cardstock (item 144240) has made its triumphant return! The glossy surface is non-porous, which lends itself to some amazing techniques with ink.
One of my favorite tricks with Glossy White Cardstock is to use alcohol to blend the ink. I’ve filled a Stampin’ Spritzer (item 126185) with isopropyl alcohol for this purpose—it has a permanent home in my craft room!
After spending several days playing with ink, I am covered in stains and happy to share three of my favorite techniques with you.
Technique #1: The Brushstroke
1
This technique couldn’t be easier, and it results in an amazing layered background that looks like it was painted by a master. How perfect to pair with paint brushes! These stamps, from the Crafting Forever Stamp Set (item 143955) and the Just Add Text Stamp Set (item 143931) fit this artistic technique to a tee.
To recreate this technique, start with a dry sheet of Glossy White Cardstock and an ink pad of your choice. I used a Bermuda Bay Classic Stampin’ Pad (item 131171) and an Old Olive Classic Stampin’ Pad (item 126953). Holding your ink pad at a 45-degree angle to your cardstock, simply drag the ink along the surface. Varying your pressure and angle will change the look slightly. Adding a variety of layers and textures with your ink will perfect the “painted” look!
Technique #2: The Fade
2
The fade is so easy with Glossy White Cardstock, and it creates a subtle effect of a spotlight on a stamped image. Start by embossing the image of your choice. I used White Stampin’ Emboss Powder (item 109132). Heat-set with your Heat Tool (item 129053). Choose three Classic Stampin’ Pads in the same color scheme—I used Pool Party (item 126982), Bermuda Bay (131171), and Island Indigo (item 126986); then, using Sponge Daubers (item 133773), sponge the ink in a circular motion, starting with the lightest color in the center. Continue adding colors one at a time to the outer edges, proceeding from lightest to darkest. When your colors have been added, add some isopropyl alcohol to a clean Sponge Dauber and blend the inks.
I used this technique to spotlight the scissors from the Crafting Forever Stamp Set and added the coordinating sentiment die-cut using Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies (item 145372). Accented with a background stamp from the Tabs for Everything Stamp Set (item 143907) and Bermuda Bay 3/8" Mini Chevron Ribbon(item 144198), this card makes a great clean-and-simple note for a friend.
Technique #3: The Faux Watercolor
3
Talk about wow factor! This background technique is SO easy but it packs a major punch. You’ll need Glossy White Cardstock, isopropyl alcohol in a Stampin’ Spritzer, and a Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill in your choice of color. Shown here is Berry Burst (item 144089.) And there’s a little bonus! This technique yields TWO background pieces, so you have half the work per card!
To create this background, start by cutting two pieces of Glossy White Cardstock to your desired size (mine are 4-1/8" x 5-3/8"). On ONE sheet of your cardstock, spray thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol, then drip your Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill over the surface. I recommend around 8–10 drops in various locations. Spray your cardstock again (it should be very wet) and tilt it in various directions until the ink runs. Set it flat on your protected surface, then place the second piece of Glossy White Cardstock shiny-side-down on the wet surface. You may want to slide your top piece of cardstock slightly to achieve a more blended look. Separate the two pieces of cardstock and your background design is finished; set it aside to dry and you’re ready to go!
If you find your ink didn’t blend as desired, simply add more alcohol while it’s still wet (since the alcohol is what helps it blend).
The focal point of this card was created with the Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack (item 144193), Crafting Forever Stamp Set, Berry Burst 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon (item 144133), and a sentiment from the Wood Words Stamp Set(item 143928). Layering these elements in the corner lets the background shine.
Speaking of the Crafting Forever Stamp Set, in addition to the fabulous stamps used here, there’s one more great stamp included in this set that’s a must-have for every crafter.

The Stampin’ Up! Angel Policy means you can sell projects you’ve made with Stampin’ Up! copyright images as long as they include “© Stampin’ Up!” on them. Each catalog has one of these sets, and this year’s is Crafting Forever! How fabulous is that?!
