Hello There

Good morning and Monday to you all!  Thanks for stopping by!  Today's card is made with the Oval Framelits, the Decorative Dots embossing folder (today is the last day you can get it free with a $50.00 purchase), the Boho Blossoms punch and the Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack.  I made the flower pot by cutting a 2 x 1 1/2 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.  I then cut each 2" side at an angle so that the pot is wider at the top then at the bottom.  I punched the top of the pot with the Word Window punch and then I ran both pieces through my Big Shot in the Square Latice embossing folder.   I punched the leaves using the Bird Builder punch.  The colors I used for the flowers and leaves are Daffodil Delight, Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe and Old Olive.  I used Pool Party, Island Indigo and Whisper White for the rest of the card.  The sentiment is from the Happy Day stamp set.  I finished it of by adding Basic Pearl jewels to the center of each flower.  I hope you love it!  It was so a lot of fun to make and went together really quickly!  Give it a try today!!

 BEST OF Stamp Sets

Today's card is a card that I made this morning for my daughter, Rebecca.  Becca is seventeen and such a wonderful young woman.  This weekend she lost a dear friend (who was in his seventies) to a heart attack.  Becca has an old soul....love's old movies and music.  Some of her favorites are Cary Grant, Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole....she cried when Andy Williams died and no one at her school knew who he was!  One of her best friends is a gal in her seventies who she goes to visit almost weekly and watches old movies with.  When her friend died on Saturday...she said..."I shouldn't have old people as friends"...it hurts too much!  I told they are a treasure that she should hold on to and she is a treasure to them...as her smile and love brings so much to their lives!  She is very blessed, and very much a blessing!

Today I also wanted to start sharing some sketches!  So here you have it!!!

Here is the sketch that I followed, but as you will see below, I did NOT follow it exactly!  Sketches are a great way of getting your creative juices flowing...I will be sharing them with you occasionally, and perhaps begin some challenges where you can post your creations!
This card has a Whisper White base, with a Basic Black layer and a Sweet Sorbet designer paper layer.  I then cut a banner with my banner framelit in out of the same dp package...added a topper in Pool Party with a strip of Basic Black and a Metal button tied with 1/8" ribbon.  I used the Starburst framelit to cut the black starburst and mounted it below the banner.  I then used the Circles Collection framelit to cut a circle out of Crisp Cantaloupe.  I used the Starburst Sayings stamp set to stamp the "You make the WORLD a better Place" in Pool Party ink.  I then stamped the "thankful for you", with the Banner Greetings stamp set,  in versamark, covered in black embossing powder, heated.  I attached both with dimensionals!  I LOVE how it turned out and hope Becca LOVES it too!  Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful day!

I leave you today with one of my favorite quotes that I am CERTAIN I have shared before...but it is the perfect quote for today!

"To the world you might be one person, but to one person you might be the world."

You're in my Thoughts!

This lovely card was sent to me by my upline....Sarah.  It came at a time when it was nice to know that people were thinking of me!

I never really thought that colors could evoke an emotion, but these colors are soft and caring.  You could use Smokey Slate with Crisp Cantaloupe, Pink Pirouette, or Blushing Bride...all having the same effect!  I LOVE the tag that Sarah made...the dry embossing shows up so well and the Fancy Fans Embossing Folder is so elegant.  The flower, from the Flower Shop stamp set is stamped and water colored.  I love the card and I LOVE the thought!  Take time to send someone you care about a card today...just to let them know you are thinking of them!!!

March Workshop

Today I am going to share with you the project we did at this months workshop!  Please feel free to email me with any questions!  I saw this on another site and thought it was GREAT!  I changed it to fit what I wanted to do at my workshop!  My ladies had so much fun seeing what the could make out of one sheet of 12x12 designer paper (alias dp)!  Everyone chose a different piece of Sweet Sorbet dp, which you can get FREE (with a $50 purchase) from the sale-a-bration brochure.  Aren't these great projects!!!!

Here are some close up photo's of each project and below is my template!!  HAVE FUN!!!

The card fits perfectly in the cute little box of Hershey's nuggets which are wrapped so sweetly.  I have never wrapped my nuggets...thought it would take to long, or was too cutesy....BUT I must say...I LOVE THEM WRAPPED!!!
