Weekly Deals and Simply Press Clay

Good Morning!!!! I quickly wanted to share the weekly deals with you all and let you know that the Clearance Rack has been updated!  Be sure to scroll down so you don't miss today's project though!

For today's project I used the Simply Pressed Clay and the Blossoms mold.  The last time I used them I just colored them after they dried but this time I used re-inkers to add color right in to the clay.  The gals in my monthly group and I put on our gloves and got down and dirty...well not dirty...but we did use gloves!  I like how the flower turned out much better!

We made our flower at the beginning of the workshop so that they would have plenty of time to dry.  We only used a few for the project so there were extras for the ladies to take home!  It was a FUN night!

Here is our project...a simple card made with the Notable Notions and theHappy Day stamp sets.  The colors used are Daffodil Delight and Old Olive...LOVE that combo!

I leave you with this thought today!

Spiral Flower Original Die

Hey there paper crafting friends!!! Well I fully intended to blog yesterday....BUT...I woke up late, so I thought I would blog when I came home from work...noticed that our dog, Dutch (a red bone hound dog - as in "Where the Red Fern Grows) wasn't using one of his back legs so I had to take him to the vet.  Thank goodness it is only a sprain and with a little rest he will heal!  Then it was time for my TRX core class...time to make dinner...and before I knew it my day was gone!  SO HAPPY TUESDAY!!!

We made this project at my last workshop using the Spiral Flower Original Die!  I just love it!!!  Here is a tip for using it:  after cutting your paper, use a bone folder to gently loosen the paper fibers....it makes it much easier to fold.  It is so cute in designer paper or cardstock.
This is my second time using the doilies...I purchased them quite a while back but thinking for sure I would come up with SO MANY IDEAS...but haven't.  I do love how feminine it makes the Tag-a-Bag gift boxes look!  I think this would be such a cute way to share cookies, candy or even a baby girl gift...something pink an frilly!!!  Below is a close up of the flowers!!!  I really LOVE how they turned out!  One is made using one die cut and the other is one die cut...cut about 1/3 and 2/3....SO MANY OPTIONS!!! Give it a try!!!

Have a WONDERFUL DAY!!

MISSING IN ACTION

GOSH!!!! It has been TWO WEEKS since I blogged!!!  It sure has been a BUSY two weeks!!!  February 10th was my youngest daughter, Kathryn's 9th birthday!  I promised I would make cake pops for her to share with  her class room...THOSE buggers are a lot of work, but we had FUN making them!  The kids in her classroom absolutely LOVED THEM!!!  For her birthday dinner she always picks ribs....we haven't even started on her "kid party" yet....but that's coming SOON!!!

My next project was to help her with her valentines for her classroom and my son, Adam (11) wanted to make a card for a little girl he fancies!!!

Adam loves using my Expression and Cricut....this is what he came up with!

My next project was for the Hospital Auxiliary....I made and donated these goodies filled with chocolates for them to sell!!

I was so excited to get the call that they had sold out of all that I had made in two days!!!  Now to get ready for Easter!!

My husband LOVED all of his treats!!! My kiddos LOVED their treats!!!  When Valentine's Day arrived...I whisked my husband away for the weekend!!! We went to The Little River Inn!  Little River is located in Mendocino County on the beautiful COAST OF CALIFORNIA!!!  We drove through a tree, enjoyed a room with an ocean view, delicious food, a beautiful hike through Fern Canyon, stormy weather and  sunshine, some red wine (my favorite was Little Black Dress) and a margarita too!!!

We had a wonderful time!!! This week it was back to work, catching up and getting my blog back on track!  In the middle of this I had a workshop so I have some projects to share...so be sure to come back and check things out!!!
Have a blessed day and a WONDERFUL WEEKEND!!!

FOURTEEN DAYS of LOVE - Day Fourteen

Well...here we are finally at day FOURTEEN!!!  I hope you have gleaned MANY ideas and that I have sparked a little inspiration in you!

This fabulous box was made with the smallest envelope liner framelit!  I cut two, one in Whisper White cardstock and one in the Polka Dot Parade designer paper...then I made the box and adhered it!  I stamped the sentiment with the Follow My Heart stamp set!  I holds one of my husbands favorite candies!

I hope that you have had as much fun with this as I have.  My husband is certainly having fun!!! Unfortunately, I didn't get them all made in time to send to my kids who are away.  Now I planning on giving them all one big treat on FEBRUARY 14th

FOURTEEN DAYS of LOVE - Day Thirteen

Last nigh was my monthly workshop...and I had so much fun!  I have the BEST ladies who love to come an play!  I will share what we created in a couple of days....but for now I have Day Thirteen of my FOURTEEN DAYS of LOVE creations!

This ADORABLE little box holds three Ghiradelli chocolates and was made with the envelope punch board.  I love this color combination!!!

To make these little boxes line a 6x6 piece of cardstock or designer paper up with the 1" mark on your envelope punch board.  Punch and score.  Slide to the 4" mark, punch and score.  Rotate to the opposite side and repeat.  Now all you have to do is use the score lines as a guide to continue around your cardstock...punch and score...punch and score!  I cut the side tabs off and folded the larger ones down in the front and back.  Add a little bling and you are finished!  Email me if you have any questions!

You'll never be disappointed if you keep your eye on uncharted territory, where you'll be challenged and growing and having fun.                 ~Kristie Alley~

FOURTEEN DAYS of LOVE - Day Twelve

I hope you all had a wonderful and FUN weekend!!! Did you find time to create?
Well today I am sharing day twelve with you...hope you are inspired!
This cute little holder is made with the envelope punch!  There are so many things that you can make with this tool...I absolutely LOVE it!!!  It holds an Odwalla bar inside.  I had to do something healthy...my husbands hobby is bicycling...and I mean serious bicycling.  He enjoys 100 mile rides with STEEP climbs.   The most I have ridden so far is 65 miles...I have to admit that I LOVE it too!  It's nice to have something we can do together!  Anyway...I made this holder using Crumb Cake cardstock as my base and Modern Medley designer paper to decorate it.  I love the Basic Black and Cherry Cobbler combination.  I have to type up the instructions so if you are interested in making these, please email me...or I will be posting the instructions asap...with another project.  Have a MAGNIFICENT MONDAY!!!!

It's March 17th.......

Have a FANTASTIC day and ENJOY the corned beef & cabbage!
