Santa's Sleigh and Merry Tags

Hello friends! Friday is here and I hope you have FUN plans to bring in the NEW YEAR!! We usually let each kid have a friend over and have gobs of finger foods (it's so much fun preparing all the goodies)...but this year we're just having pizza, soda, chips and dip.  I needed it to be really easy and that's what the kids (only two at home now) VOTED on!

This is another GORGEOUS, handmade card that I received in the mail this year! It's so fun when friends share their talents with me!

This card is made with the Santa's Sleigh Thinlits and the Merry Tags Framelits (item # 141835 on sale now for 1/2 off only $12.50 for 7 dies).

I LOVE the Basic Black on top of the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper...then matted on Basic Black again! This combination would look great with either Real Red or Cherry Cobbler...this card is made with the latter!

Well...that's it for today!  I've decided I'm going to try to make one Christmas card EVERY week so I will be WAY AHEAD for next year! Let me know if you'd like to join me in this challenge! It will be FUN to see what you all CREATE!

As always...thanks so much for stopping by!  ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND!!! Stay SAFE as you ring in the new year!

Pretty Pines

Good morning friends!  Well...I TOTALLY slept in this morning and it felt GREAT!!! Then, my 11 year old daughter made us breakfast...bacon, eggs, hashbrowns and hot chocolate! DELICIOUS!!  I am so grateful!

I wanted to share this BEAUTIFUL card I received in the mail!  Isn't it GORGEOUS!!!
The Crumb Cake background was ran through the Big Shot using the Pine Bough embossing folder.  That's Presents & Pinecones Washi tape at the bottom...so cute!

The pine boughs and pinecones were cut with the Pretty Pines Thinlits! I'm so glad they are being carried over! The Bakers Twine is from the Baker's Twine Trio pack in the Holiday Catalog and the sentiment is from the Christmas Pines stamp set!

I just LOVE this card!  I have others to share with you too!  I LOVE getting handmade cards in the mail...I also LOVE getting those photo cards at Christmas time!!

Thanks bunches for stopping by AGAIN!!! I hope you have been INSPIRED! Have a FABULOUS day and come on back again tomorrow!!

Tuesday's Tip

Good morning!  Happy Tuesday to you!  Well...I decided to do my first Tuesday's Tip this morning!  It's not a video...(they are coming mid January), but it's a simple tip to add fun to your gifts! Below you'll see a few goodies I made for my girls for Christmas.  I just found some fun jars (the one with the green lid held artichoke hearts), filled them with the treats that I made with my Essential Oils and decorated them with PAPER, RIBBON and WASHI TAPE!

I made Peppermint Bath Salts...so that cute Peppermint Washi Tape on the label was perfect! I wrapped designer paper from the Brights Paper Stack around the jar as a band and added a circle topper of the same designer paper to the lid...added the label, tied a bow and VIOLA...a cute gift!  A little strip of Washi Tape around the caps of flavored chapstick (I made peppermint and cinnamon) is another cute touch. My FAVORITE is a couple pieces of Washi Tape wrapped around the wooden spoon and tied to the jar of Sugar Scrub!  I added another piece of Washi Tape to the bottom of the label too after I saw this photo...made it even cuter!

Well...that's it for today! SUPER FUN and EASY ways to add CUTENESS  to your homemade gift! Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by!  Have a TERRIFIC TUESDAY!!

Lovely As A Tree with Warmth & Cheer

Hello! Happy Friday! Well the week is finished and so am I!!! Well, except for wrapping my Christmas gifts! My baking is finished though...DELICIOUS goodies!!!

I have one last card to share with you from my December workshops! I had to use the Lovely As A Tree stamp set at least once! The base of my card is Crumb Cake and the first mat is Basic Black. I cut a piece of Warmth and Cheer designer paper (remember it's half off right now...only $5.00 for this 6x6 pack...item #141991). I cut this piece of designer paper 1" X 4" and then cut a piece of Very Vanilla card stock 4 1/4" X 4", stamped the Lovely As A Tree Image in Garden Green and the sentiment which is from the Merriest Wishes stamp set, in Cherry Cobbler. I matted it onto the piece of Basic Black cardstock and tied a piece of Silver Natural Trim around it before attaching it to the card base!

For the inside of the card I simply stamped the same tree image off the side of a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, matted it onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock and adhered it to the inside of the card...so easy, but such a nice addition to your card!

Well, that's it for today...thanks bunches for stopping by this BUSY FRIDAY! I'm off to make my Manicotti Sauce...and stuff my shells!

Have a WONDERFUL Christmas Season...stay safe and warm and enjoy every moment you get to spend with family and friends!

JOY

Hello there! How's your Wednesday morning coming along?  I'm headed down the mountain this morning to pick up our Prime Rib for Christmas dinner and a few things I need for our Manicotti Christmas Eve dinner! It's gonna be CRAZY busy in Redding...traffic...lots of people...not at all like my small mountain town. Hopefully I don't forget anything...we do have a grocery store here in town if I do so it won't me a catastrophe!

I wanted to share another card that we made at my December workshops with you today! It's a FUN and VERY SIMPLE card to create! I hope you'll give it a try!

The base of this card is Real Red and the first mat is Pool Party.  I stamped on a piece of Whisper White cardstock using my clear block as my stamp! Yep! I simply inked up my block with Pool Party ink and sprayed it with my water filled spritzer (just a couple squirts from about 8-10 inches away...this would make a good, quick video)! After spritzing with water I positioned it where I wanted to stamp...and stamped!

I cut the word Joy from the Wonderful Wreath framelits using Real Red Glimmer Paper.  I attached "Joy" with Multi-purpose glue. The star is punched from Silver Glimmer Paper using the Medium Star Punch and is attached with a dimensional!  I wanted to create a simple card for my ladies that was easy to mail (no extra postage) so there is no bling.  I, personally, LOVE to add bling to my projects and pay the extra postage so I would definitely add some Basic Rhinestones...just a few!

The inside of the card has a sweet sentiment which is from the Holly Berry Happiness stamp set. I tried stamping the inside of the card with my clear block (just like I did the front), but the Real Red words did not show up very well through the Pool Party stamped image and I really wanted to use red.  Basic Black and Early Espresso showed up great, but that wasn't the look I wanted! If I were making it again (and I will be...there are a few extra kits) I would use my clear block to stamp in a couple of corners...and add a few more Basic Rhinestones!

Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by today! I know there's a lot of hustle and bustle going on! I do hope you find time to sit down, relax and maybe even get a chance to create today!

Christmas Pines and COMING SOON....Tuesday's Tips

Good Morning friends! It's December 20th...do you know where all your packages are? Mine are out in my shop...WAITING to be wrapped, but I'm in the house rolling snickerdoodles and snowballs! I am determined not to be stressed out during the Christmas season...it will all come together...it ALWAYS DOES!

So...I've been thinking about my Tuesday Videos...I originally thought I would call it Teaching Tuesday...lots of demonstrators have Technique Tuesdays...I've decided to change mine to Tuesday's Tips!  Look for it come Mid-January

No video yet, but I do want to share a card we made in my December workshops with you!

I really love how this card turned out! The card base is Soft Suede with the first mat in Crumb Cake. I stamped on Whisper White using the Christmas Pines stamp set and Pear Pizzazz ink. Next I cut pine branches in Garden Green, a pinecone in Soft Suede and Holly Berries in Real Red using the Pretty Pines Thinlits. I used the Bell Punch and Warmth & Cheer designer paper pack (it's on sale for $5.00 right now Item 141991). I attached the pine branches and holly with Multipurpose glue (just a dot in the middle of the card so they hang free).  I then attached the pinecone and bell with dimensionals and tied a piece of Linen Thread to the bell! CUTE country bell!

Of course I had to stamp on the inside! Just a couple of pine branches and the sentiment which are both from the Christmas Pines stamp set! This is one of my favorite cards this year! It would be really cute to stamp some branches on the envelope you mail this in...such a nice touch!!!

Well...thanks bunches for stopping by today! I hope you like my creation! I sure LOVE creating!!!

Now...get busy wrapping!!! Have FUN and I hope you find time to create!!!

Softly Falling Jar of Cheer

Good Morning crafty friends!  Happy Friday!  I'm so EXCITED that it is FINALLY Friday and I get to have my kiddos home for TWO WEEKS!!! We're gonna start our baking tomorrow!  I love this time with my children!  It's so fun!  My two youngest kids are still at home and they started their own tradition a couple of years ago of making gingerbread cookies together. They do this all on their own...it's really fun to watch them working together and loving each other...and YES...making a mess together!! I"ll share photos later!

I have a Christmas card to share with you today...OF COURSE!  Hope you find some inspiration!
I used this card for a Facebook Hop a couple weeks ago, but never shared it on my blog!  I love its simplicity!

First, I stamped the Christmas tree image in Pear Pizzazz using the Jar of Cheer stamp set. The sentiment is stamped in Real Red with the Hang Your Stocking stamp set.  After stamping, I embossed the stamped piece of cardstock and the card base at the same time using the Softly Falling embossing folder.  I embossed them together so the snowflakes would line up perfectly! I covered the bottom of the cardstock with another piece of cardstock so that the sentiment was not embossed (this might have to be a future video...hard to explain). I added some linen thread to creat a rustic or country look! I REALLY love this card! This might be one you get in the mail if you are a customer of mine...be on the lookout!

Well...that's it for today!  Thanks so much for stopping by!! I so enjoy sharing what I love!

ENJOY your weekend!  It's a BEAUTIFUL, crisp and clear morning here with no rain for a few days! I LOVE the rain and we need it so badly, but I sure love it when some sunshine is sprinkled in!

Throw Back Thursday - Hershey Nugget Snoman

Hey there friends! I had a FUN workshop yesterday...such a GREAT group of ladies! They are so forgiving and kind! First, I forgot my black pieces of cardstock for one of the layers on a card...then I had a FULL BLOWN HOT FLASH! They forgive my mess ups...laugh with me as sweat drips from my brow...and they make teaching my classes FUN!! LOVE YOU LADIES!!

Well..it's my first Throwback Thursday and I've chosen a snowman project!! Not my Curvy Keepsake snowman that I had so many requests for that I made my first of only two tutorials (hopefully, as I get more organized, I'll add more). One of the gals at my class yesterday said to me...remember that snowman with the nuggets that you made...I want to learn how to make that again...SOOOO, in honor of Linda...here is my Throwback Thursday!!!

Last year my daughter and I made THIRTY of these to give to her classmates for Christmas! It was such a FUN project to do with her and all the kids LOVED it!

This was created with the Snow Place stamp set and the Snow Friends framelits from 2015's Holiday catalog, address labels, and Hershey Nuggets! You'll also need some glimmer and bling!

Here are the measurements to create the box. Once you have it all put together, stamp your images on the center of your address labels (stamp while they are still on the sheet...so much easier...ask me how I know!!) and then wrap them around the Hershey Nuggets. Decorate however you'd like your snowman to look...a top hat, a beanie...your creativity is the limit!

This is how my daughter and I packaged them last year. We had to cut our cellophane bags to fit. This years 2" X 8" cellophane bags are the PERFECT bag to wrap them in!  Tie them with a bow...staple them with a tag...again, your creativity is the limit!

If you don't have this stamp set, you can draw the face on and use REAL buttons...that would be SO CUTE!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Have a WONDERFUL day!  I hope you find time to get out there and create during this BUSY time of year!

Cable Knit Beanie and Treat Box

Hello friends! Well...I'm headed down the mountain for my workshop today, but before I leave, I wanted to share one of the projects we will be making!

A gal in the class sent me a pin from Pinterest of a really cute beanie card...I wanted to incorporate it into my class, but wanted it to be my own too.  So here it is!  I cut an oval using the Layering Ovals framelits  and cut the bottom off to create the beanie shape.  Next, I ran it through my Big Shot using the Cable Knit embossing folder.  I added a back (I'm going to show you how in one of my first videos) to make it a small card.  I used Red Glimmer paper and the Holly Berry punch for the bow on top and I tied a Mini Jingle Bell around the bow using Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine.  The bottom is trimmed with Whisper White Mini Pompom trim.

The cute Clear Tiny Treat Box is filled with Peppermint Kisses and tied with Real Red 3/4" Stitched Edge Ribbon.  A perfect combination!

Here is my inspiration!  Thanks Sandy for sending it to me!!! Isn't it cute?!?!

Well that's it for today!  I'll be back tomorrow with my first Throwback Thursday.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you have a TERRIFIC day!

Candy Cane Lane Gift Bag

Hello friends! I can't believe it's December already! This year has gone by WAY TO FAST and I only have two Christmas presents purchased (one I can't remember where I hid it because I got it two months ago...YIKES)! How's your December going???  Well...I've decided I'm NOT going to STRESS...I'm going to ENJOY!!!

Today I'm gonna share one last project from my November workshops.  I made this for a Facebook Hop in October, but forgot to share it on my blog and the Christmas version is so cute I had to share it!

To make this cute gift you'll need your FAVORITE designer paper. I chose Candy Can Lane from the Holiday Catalog. Cut a 3 1/2" x 12" piece of paper and score it at 5 1/4", 6 1/4" and 11 1/2". Cut a shape in the bottom half using framilts or a punch (I used the Layering Circles Framelits). Fold at the score lines. Fill 3" X 6" Gusseted Cellophane Bag (item 141704) with your gift or candy. I used Puff Peppermints to match the designer paper. Finally staple it into the designer paper so it shows through your opening.  I added some ribbon to the top and some Bakers Twine on the side with a Glimmer star that I cut using the Starlight Thinlit dies.

These come together so quickly and are a FUN gift!  I hope you'll give this project a try! Post a photo in the comments if you do!!

Well....thanks BUNCHES for stopping by today! I hope you have a FANTASTIC weekend! I hope that our family gets to go Christmas tree hunting and I get to start decorating!

Don't forget about the CLOSEOUT sales that are going on NOW! I need to go shopping too!
