Sending Flowers Card & Framed Art

Good Morning everyone!  How's your morning going?  Were you INSPIRED by last nights Inspire, Create & Share Blog Hop?  There were sure lots of fun ideas!  I hope you enjoyed it!

Today is gonna be a hard day at my house.  It's the first home baseball game at our high school and we are starting a snack bar in honor of our son, Adam. He died in a car wreck last May, one week after pitching his last baseball game.  He should be playing today...it should be his senior year, but God had different plans.  We're calling the snack bar "The Mound" and all proceeds go to the Adam Watson Memorial Scholarship fund.  I'm excited that one more good thing is coming from our tragedy, but I know there will be lots of tears today! I would appreciate your prayers!

I like to share a FUN card and a framed art project I made with the Sending Flowers Die!   ENJOY!!

This card is so simple to make and I just love it!  I started with a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I centered the Sending Flowers die onto the cardbase to cut the circle with flowers out.  The stems and leaves are colored with a Light Old Olive Stampin' Blend Marker.  You can color the flowers, but I chose to cut more flowers out with the dies using Calypso Coral and Crushed Curry cardstock and glued them to the white flower.  I sponge brayered some Coastal Cabana ink onto a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock and attached it to the inside of the card as a sky background for the flowers.  Of course...I had to add some Pearl Basic Jewels as centers of the flowers.  Isn't it CUTE? I think it's so cheery!!

Here's my framed art!  It's so sweet!  It's basically created the same way I made the card except I used a 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" piece of Old Olive cardstock instead of Whisper White.  I still cut out the flowers and glued them on and brayered a background.  I tied a bow with Linen Thread and attached it to an 8" x 8" piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock that has been stamped in Coastal Cabana ink with the Artisan Textures stamp set!  I LOVE how it turned out!  Love the colors...Love the sweetness!

Hey...THANKS BUNCHES for stopping by today!  I hope you have a TERRIFIC day!  Thanks for your prayers!  I'll let you know tomorrow how it went!!
