Hi there! I'm Darla and I live in BEAUTIFUL Northern California! I am a mother of seven terrific kids and have been married to my husband for 36 years. I have been a Stampin' Up Demonstrator since 2010 and love ALL THINGS paper crafting. I also have a scrapbooking retreat business called Scrap Happens Retreats. I love teaching and learning new techniques, sharing ideas, hosting my retreats, being a wife and a mom. Hiking, bicycling, gardening and cooking are a few of my other hobbies. Hello everyone! I'm heading to Ferndale for a church retreat this morning! I LOVE Ferndale...it's such a cute town with fun stores and restaurants! It also has a really pretty beach and our theme is Seaside Escapes...Psalm 46:10 - Be still and know that I am God. Should be relaxing and revitalizing!! I have one more card from my September classes to share with you!
I absolutely LOVE the stamp set I used on this card! I looks like two step stamping, but it isn't...it's just one stamp! I used the First Frost stamp set. The flowers are stamped in Flirty Flamingo ink and the stems are stamped in Mint Macaron ink. The base of the card is a 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" piece of Basic Gray cardstock. My first mat is 4" X 5 1/4" Whisper White cardstock. I used the NEW Galvanized Metallic Paper and embossed it with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder. I attached a Pearlized Doily with dimensionals to the galvanized paper and used my 2" punch to add a piece of Frosted Foil DSP to its center. The flowers are stamped onto a Stitched Circle that I cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I didn't add a sentiment because I wanted my class to decide how they wanted to use it! Hello there and good Tuesday evening! Super late getting my video posted today...I had to go down the mountain and run lots of errands! I also was able to meet up with my brother for coffee! I don't get to see enough of him!! The Holiday Catalog goes LIVE tomorrow and I wanted to share some great embossing folders with you. They're easy to miss in the catalog so I thought a video would be FUN!
