ICS Blog Hop Color Challenge

Hello Everyone and WELCOME to the Inspire, Create & Share Blog Hop! I hope you'll follow along...the INSPIRATION will be terrific. We have a COLOR CHALLENGE this month!  You'll have to give it a try!

These colors spoke Halloween to me so I went with it and here's what I came up with!

First I created a card with a 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" Whisper White Base.  Layer one is a 3 7/8" X 5 1/8" piece of Basic Black cardstock.  Next is a 3 3/4" X 5" piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock which is embossed with the Subtle embossing folder. The pumpkin is punched with the Apple Builder Punch.  It is stamped with the Harvest Hellos stamp set and embossed with the Swirls & Curls embossing folder.  I added a Silver stitched circle which is embossed with the Hammered Metal embossing folder as a background.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set, is stamped onto a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock which is hand cut into a banner and adhered to a Granny Green piece of cardstock that is cut with the Timeless Label punch.  A bow made with Basic Black Scalloped Edge Ribbon was added to finish it off!

Next, I wanted to create a SUPERHERO with my Mini Curvy Keepsake Box die.  The tags are cut with the same dies from Silver Foil Sheets and Granny Apple Green cardstock. The cute little jack-o-lantern face is again stamped with the Harvest Hellos stamp sent and the sentiment is stamped with the Boo To You stamp set.  The Basic Black hair and the Gorgeous Grape cape are cut with the Mini Curvy Keepsake die then the ragged edges are cut by hand.

The sparkle on the cape is added using the Ice Stampin' Glitter and adhered with Multilpurpose Glue that is brushed onto the entire piece.  The BOO TO YOU sentiment is tied on with Granny Apple Green Textured Weave Ribbon that has been frayed.  The silver foil tag is embossed with the Hammered Metal embossing folder and is adhered with a dimensional!  Pretty CUTE little guy!

Beautiful Friendships~

Hello everyone...well, it's Friday again can you believe it? Time really does fly by!!  Do you have any exciting plans for your weekend?  I have NONE and I am so happy! I think I'll have lots of time to create!  World Card Making Day is October 5th and I'll be planning my event!  I'm also planning two sampler classes. October 12th for a FALL themed shadow box and November 2nd for a Christmas themed shadow box! I'm super excited to get started!

Today I want to share another card we are making in my August classes!

Isn't this a lovely card!  I haven't used this technique for a while and decided to try it out again!  

My card base is a 5 1/2" X 11" piece of Whisper White cardstock. Next is a 4" x 5 1/4" of Gorgeous Grape cardstock.  The stamped layer comes next and is 3 3/4" x 5".  To do the stamping you'll first need to cut another piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I cut an oval using the Stitched Shapes framelits.  I adhered it to the 3 3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White with a tiny bit of Snail Adhesive then began my stamping.  I stamped over the oval using the Beautiful Friendship stamp set.  I used Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and Old Olive ink.  When I finished stamping I lifted the stitched oval, stamped the sentiment and attached it to a larger stitched oval cut from Gorgeous Grape cardstock and then attached it to the stamped base with dimensionals!  My ladies loved it!

"Maket-It Monday" Royal Peacock

Hello everyone! I hope your weekend was terrific.  If you're a local or live close by, what did you think about those storms?  Pretty cool! 578 lightening strikes...WOW! Technology is amazing to be able to see that!  

I love storms, so I had a blast sitting on the deck watching them!  I'm in bad shape today though.  On Thursday, I cut my elbow in the bathtub on a razor.  It's a little tiny cut that has already scabbed over but I got an infection in my lower arm.  It's red, warm to the touch, oh so sore and swollen.  My joints hurt, my bones hurt.  I went to the doctor this morning and he put me on antibiotics.  I picked them up, came home and went back to bed...just got up now!  When I'm done here, I'm going back to bed!  CRAZY!!!

Tuesday's Tip - Dino Days and a FUN FOLD

Good Morning and WELCOME to Tuesday's Tip!  Today I have a super cute card to share with you using a fun fold and the Dino Days stamp set, the Dino Dies, Dinoroar designer paper and the Meant to Be stamp set! I hope you  have fun with it like I did!

Here are the measurements!

Card Base:

Pretty Peacock - 7 3/4" X 5 1/2"        scored at 1 3/4" and 6"

Inside:

Granny Apple Green - 4" X 5 1/4"
Whisper White - 3 1/4" X 5"

DSP:

Dinoroar - 1 3/8" X 1 5/8"

I also used the Subtle embossing folder to add texture to my dinosaur egg!  LOVE IT!  Don't forget to add those cute little hearts from the Meant to Be stamp set!

Magnolia Lane HELLO!

Hello and HAPPY Friday!  I hope you've had a great week! I'm thick in the heart of camping...we're going to go for a hike today, up in the Trinity Alps to an Alpine Lake!  I LOVE WHERE I LIVE!!

Today'r project is another card that we created in my June classes.  The card base is Whisper White withe a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Magnolia Lane designer paper.  The magnolia flower is cut with the Magnolia Memories Dies.  I used my bone folder to gently curl the petals.  The sentiment is from Good Morning Magnolia Cling Stamp Set.  Hello is stamped onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock with VersaMark and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.  Next it is cut out with the Timeless Punch.  The flower and the sentiment are attached with Dimensional and the flower has a Clear Faceted Gem in the middle!  

THIS PAPER IS BEAUTIFUL!!!

Magnolia Lane Birthday Card

Hello Everyone!  I'm leaving on a family camping trip today, but before I hit the road I want to share one of the cards we created in my June classes!  I'm also going to schedule one for tomorrow...then take the weekend off!  

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!  Stay SAFE, have FUN and find a little time to CREATE!!!

The base of this card is Whisper White cardstock with a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Magnolia Lane designer paper adhered to the top.  The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso ink onto a piece of scratch Whisper White cardstock.  I tied several pieces of Linen Thread around it and used a glue dot to add the Leaves Trinket.  It's simple...it's quick and it's lovely!

I hope it inspires you to play with your designer paper!  You are going to LOVE the Magnolia Lane pack if you don't already have it!
