"Make-It Monday" Frosted Floral Christmas

Good Morning! I'm sorry, I have one more Christmas card to share with you!  I have to share it because it's created with the BEAUTIFUL Frosted Floral designer paper and this paper can only be ordered through January 2nd as the Holiday Catalog expires.  ENJOY!

Frosted Floral Christmas Card

Supplies:

·         Stamp Set – Timeless Tidings (148939 wood mount; 148936 clear mount)

·         Card Stock – Thick Whisper White (140272)

·         Stamp Pads – Merry Merlot (147112)

·         Misc. – Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper (147800); Galvanized Metallic Paper (147805); Subtle Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder (143706); Merry Merlot & Copper 5/8” Reversible Ribbon (147818); Banner Triple Punch (138292); Dimensionals (104430)

           

Measurements:  

·         Whisper White Card Stock:    4” x 11”; 1” x 4-1/2” for banner          

·         Galvanized Metallic Paper:    1” x 4”

·         Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper:

o   Two pieces (Merry Merlot stripe):   ½” x 4”

o   Floral print:    3” x 4”

o   Mint print:      1” x 4”   

           

Instructions:

1.    Score Thick Whisper White Card Stock at 5-1/2””, fold in half for card base

2.    Use the Big Shot with the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to  

emboss Galvanized Metallic Paper strip

3.    Adhere next to fold at top of card base

4.    Adhere mint Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper to bottom of card front

5.    Adhere ½” strips of Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper along back top and bottom 

edges of 3” x 4” floral print

6.    Punch one end of Whisper White cardstock 1” strip with Banner Triple Punch. 

7.    With banner end on the right, stamp sentiment with Merry Merlot Ink

8.    Adhere banner to card front with Dimensionals

9.    Wrap ribbon around card front and tie in bow.  (I leave ribbon attached to spool and trim after  

tying to save ribbon)

Scrappin' Saturday

Good Morning everyone!  It's time for my Scrappin' Saturday scrapbook page!  I'm gonna share it real quick then get back to makin' cookies!! I made this about a month ago and it's one of my favorite scrapbook pages!

The 12 X 12 background is from the Frosted Floral designer paper.  The strips are scraps of Basic Black cardstock, Gray Granite cardstock and Share What You Love designer paper.  

I also cut snowflakes using my Blizzard Thinlit and my Seasonal Layers Thinlits.  The centers of the snowflakes have Frosted Epoxy drops in the middle!

My little girl was ALWAYS in dress up close and NEVER got cold...this page is here completely!  I still have to do my journaling....ALWAY journal!  It's so important!  They'll love seeing your handwritten words!

Falling For Leaves

Good Morning everyone!  Well...I totally FLAKED yesterday!  A couple of DEAR girlfriends came over and we visited and worked in my workshop!  My workshop is SO MESSY!  I have so many things going on that I can't find anything!  These dear friends helped me look for my Stitched Framelits for at least half an hour before I realized they were in my house because I was working on some things while watching TV with my son!  UGGHHHH!!!! They are TROOPERS...and they're so good at laughing with me instead of at me!  I am so blessed to have great friends who understand and embrace my chaos!!!

Today's project is another card we are making in my October classes!  The Whisper White card base is 5 1/2" X 8 1/2".  Next there is a 2 3/4" X 4 1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock attached to the card base with dimensionals.  The Frosted Floral designer paper measures 2 1/2" X 4".  I used the Falling for Leaves stamp set to stamp the leaf images onto a Stitched Shapes circle in Old Olive and Cajun Craze ink.  Last I used the Detailed Leaves framelits to cut one leaf with the Frosted Floral designer paper and attached it to a circle with mini dimensionals and then attached the circle to the card base with dimensionals.  To finish it off, I tied a piece of Linen Thread into a bow around the stem of the leaf.  The Thankful sentiment is also from the Falling for Leaves stamp set and is stamped in Soft Suede.

First Frost with Frosted Floral

Good Morning and HAPPY FRIDAY!  Are you ready for your weekend?  I hope you'll be doing something FUN! Perhaps a little card making on Saturday since it's WORLD CARD MAKING DAY!  Whatever you do, I hope you have a WONDERFUL WEEKEND!

I won't be creating at all...my World Card Making Day event has turned into a NOT World Card Making Day event!  My daughter and her husband bought a new house (their first home) back in July!  They moved in the end of the month...then the Carr Fire happened!  My son-in-law was sent up to Redding to help restore the power and was gone for a few weeks so they had to push out their housewarming party 'til this Saturday!  I can't wait to see them and the house! It's so exciting to see our kids growing and succeeding isn't it?!  I do need to make sure all my kids know that World Card Making Day is ALWAYS the first Saturday of October!!!! LOL

Here's another SIMPLE card that we are making in my October classes!  The card base is a 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.  The first layer is Whisper White and measures 4" X 5 1/4".  The top layer is Frosted Floral designer paper and measures 3 3/4" X 5".  This dsp is GORGEOUS!  The colors are wonderful and it's SHIMMERY!! If you don't have it already...it is a definite MUST HAVE!!

Ok...so next, I used the Corrugated Embossing Folder to emboss a 1" X 4" piece of Crumb Cake cardstock and adhered it to the card with dimensionals!  Last I used the First Frost stamp set to stamp on a Stitched Shapes circle in Soft Suede and Mind Macaron ink and attached it with dimensionals as well.  I stamped the inside of the card too!  This is a super simple and quick card that can be used for ANY OCCASION!  I hope you'll give it a try!

First Frost

Hello everyone!  I'm heading to Ferndale for a church retreat this morning!  I LOVE Ferndale...it's such a cute town with fun stores and restaurants! It also has a really pretty beach and our theme is Seaside Escapes...Psalm 46:10 - Be still and know that I am God.  Should be relaxing and revitalizing!!

I have one more card from my September classes to share with you!

I absolutely LOVE the stamp set I used on this card!  I looks like two step stamping, but it isn't...it's just one stamp!  I used the First Frost stamp set.  The flowers are stamped in Flirty Flamingo ink and the stems are stamped in Mint Macaron ink.  The base of the card is a 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" piece of Basic Gray cardstock.  My first mat is 4" X 5 1/4" Whisper White cardstock.  I used the NEW Galvanized Metallic Paper and embossed it with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder.  I attached a Pearlized Doily with dimensionals to the galvanized paper and used my 2" punch to add a piece of Frosted Foil DSP to its center.  The flowers are stamped onto a Stitched Circle that I cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  I didn't add a sentiment because I wanted my class to decide how they wanted to use it!  Isn't it beautiful?!

Scrapbooking with Frosted Floral and Share What You Love Designer Paper

Hello there and how are you all today?  I'm grateful today for blue skies and good girlfriends!  What a BEAUTIFUL DAY!  A couple of friends drove up the mountain...sat in two road work stops... a ONE HOUR and FORTY minute drive (which normally takes less than an hour)...just to spend a four or five hours visiting and creating with me!  I am SOOOO BLESSED!!  I feel rejuvenated! Thanks for pouring encouragement and energy back into me today ladies!!

I've been wanting to share a scrapbook page I made a couple of weeks ago...and what better time to share than now!

This is my youngest daughter, Kate.  She LOVED to play dress up!  She was ALWAYS hot too...so it didn't bother her at all to go out in the snow in her ballerina outfit!  Don't those snow boots go well with the outfit?

The backdrop of this page is from the Frosted Floral designer paper pack.  This paper is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!  Next  cut some scrap strips from Share What You Love dsp, Basic Black cardstock and Gray Granite.  I cut them into banners and adhered them to the 12 X 12 piece of Frosted Floral dsp.  The photo is mounted on a piece of Whisper White cardstock with a Granite Gray and a Basic Black Mat!  I used the Blizzard Thinlit dies to cut several snowflakes from the new Sparkle Glimmer paper and attached them with dimensionals!  I LOVE how it turned out!  It's simple and doesn't take away from the photo, which is the most important part of scrapbooking!
