Let it Ride Birthday Card

Good Morning everyone!  Well...the power is back on, my internet is working, Verizon cell phones still aren't working very well (and I don't have a landline!).  What a storm we've been having....nothing in comparison to the east, but 10-12 inches in Redding (we only got about 6" and we're in the mountains)!??!  Snow on the coast?!?!?!  We had a power outage no school day...YAY!!! It's been fun!! We played Monopoly...we played Uno...kids did homework and I created a bit...but my room is really COLD with no heat.  The fire was going strong in the house though so we were warm!! My husband has been working 20 hour days getting power restored and there is no end in sight for the next week or so! There's NEVER a dull moment in my world!!

Today I want to share the birthday card I made for my daughter! I love it...more importantly, SHE LOVES IT!!

The card base is a 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" piece of Whisper White cardstock. The first layer is a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Basic Black cardstock embossed with the Subtle embossing folder!  I used my Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut a Whisper White Circle to stamp the horse image from the Let it Ride stamp set.  I stamped the horse in Memento Black ink, then sponged him Crumb Cake and Soft Suede! The trees are stamped in both Lemon Lime Twist and Shaded Spruce and the sky is sponged with Coastal Cabana.  I also used my Stitched Shapes Framelits to create the Coastal Cabana frame around the image and circle with the sentiment.  "Celebrate" is from the Beautiful You stamp set and is stamped in Memento Black ink.  I cut the "YOU" with my Celebrate You Thinlits.  Last, I tied a piece of Black Baker's Twine around the o and the u...just for fun! I LOVE these colors together and I LOVE this card!  I hope it inspires you to do a little bit of creating today!

THANKS BUNCHES for stopping by today!  Enjoy your day!  Stay WARM...stay SAFE and stay THANKFUL!!!
