"Make-It Monday" Above the Clouds

Since it's Monday...it's time for a new "Make-It Monday" Tutorial!  ENJOY!

"Make-It Monday": ABOVE THE CLOUDS card created using NEW Stampin' Up! products All images © 1990-2019 Stampin’ Up!®  Supplies: Stamp Sets – Above the Clouds (149404) Card Stock – Pacific Point (111350); Whisper White (100730); Balmy Blue (146982); Real Red (102482); Crumb Cake (120953); Melon Mambo (115320); Coastal Cabana (131297); Daffodil Delight (119683) Stamp Pads – Memento Tuxedo Black (132708); Melon Mambo (147051); Coastal Cabana (147097); Early Espresso (147114) Misc. – Pretty Label Punch (143715); Hot Air Balloon Punch (149520); Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder (147923); Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (144108); Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755); SNAIL Adhesive (104332)        Measurements:   Pacific Point: 4 ¼” x 11” scored at 2 ¾” and 5 ½”; 1” x 3 ¾” scored ½” at each end (3) Balmy Blue: 5 ¼” x 4” and 2 ½” x 4” (2) Whisper White: ¾” x 5 ¼ ” and ¾” x 2 ½” (2) and 2 ½” x 6” to punch 3 “clouds” from Pretty Label Punch Crumb Cake: ½” x 3” –(for baskets)                            Real Red:  1” x 11” scored at 2 ¾” and 5 ½” ; 2” x 2 ½” (for balloon punch) Melon Mambo: 2” x 2 1/2” (for balloon punch) Coastal Cabana: 2” x 2 ½” (for balloon punch) Daffodil Delight: 2” x 2 ½” (for balloon punch)                         Instructions:   Emboss 3 pieces of Balmy Blue with Curls & Swirls Embossing Folder. Adhere these pieces to the 3 sections on Pacific Point card base. Stamp birds in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on top right corner of card base. Fold Real Red strip over and under then put glue on back of each end. Glue one end to front of card base and the other end to the inside of card base about 1” from bottom (See picture for placement). Stamp saying in Memento Tuxedo Black on ¾” x 5 ¼” Whisper White strip one row at a time centered on strip by masking the other rows, inking the stamp and then removing the mask before stamping. Glue the 3 white strips on the corresponding Real Red strip already glued to card base.   Glue each ½” end of 3 Pacific Point strips to inside of box created by Real Red strip. Glue one end to card base and the other end to back of Real Red strip. Glue first strip ½” from back of card. Then glue the next strip ½” from Real Red strip. Lastly, glue third strip center between the other 2 strips already glued. Fold card to make sure everything folds down flat. Punch 3 “clouds” from Whisper White piece with Pretty Label Punch. Cut one in half. Glue on card (See picture for placement). Stamp balloon stamp in Melon Mambo ink on Melon Mambo c/s. Then punch out with Balloon Punch and cut off bottom half of balloon. Punch another balloon out of Real Red c/s. Glue Melon Mambo top to Real Red balloon. Stamp in Coastal Cabana ink the other balloon stamp on Coastal Cabana c/s. Then punch with balloon punch. Punch 3rd balloon out of Daffodil Delight c/s. Then stamp banner in Memento Tuxedo Black across the balloon. Stamp 3 baskets in Early Espresso ink on Crumb Cake strip and punch out with Balloon punch. Adhere 2 baskets to the bottom of the Coastal Cabana and Daffodil Delight balloons. Glue Red/Pink balloon to front of card centered on white cloud. Use a mini dimensional to adhere basket to bottom of balloon directly on card front. Glue the other 2 balloons on the Pacific Point strips inside card box--the back balloon higher than the middle balloon.

Incredible Like You!

Hello and YAY...it's Friday!  I'm LOVING the spring rains we've been having! How is it where you are?  What's on your agenda for the weekend?  I'm going to a Vintage Market, called Rust & Roses later this afternoon down in Redding and I can't wait! I already have my tickets...my daughter is going with me! They have so many FUN things there...I always find great deals on old metal buckets (which I love)!  This time I'm looking for a birthday gift for my oldest daughter, Sarah...something groovy for her house!  Tomorrow is another volleyball tournament in Chico...that will be a FUN day too!  

Today...I have another card we're making in my April classes to share with you!  It's so simple...but so BEAUTIFUL!  I hope you love it as much as I do!

This beautiful card has a 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" card base (scored at 4 1/4").  The first layer is a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock embossed with the Subtle embossing folder.  Next I used the Petals & More framelits to cut the Coastal Cabana background strip and a used mini dimensionals to attach it to the card, putting them in strategic places where they would be hidden behind a flower or the sentiment.  The sentiment is from the Incredible Like You stamp set and is stamped with Gray Granite ink and punched out with the Pretty Label Punch. It is also attached with dimensionals!  Last I used the Bitty Blooms punch pack to punch three Whisper White flowers and attached them with glue dots! Of course...I had to add Pearl Basic Jewels as the flower centers.  Isn't it a great card?

Tuesday's Tip - #simplestamping ~ First Frost ~ Hollyhock

Hello Everyone! It's Tuesday...it's time for my Tuesday's Tip video and darn if my internet doesn't go out so I can't upload it.  I thought it was the storm...but turns out I needed a new Modem!  YAY!!! They came right out and fixed it and I'm up and running!  I hope you are INSPIRED to try some #simplestamping!



Here are a couple of photos of the finished cards!

I used the First Frost stamp set to stamp the images with Granny Apple Green, Flirty Flamingo and Memento Black ink.  The sentiment is punched out with the Pretty Label Punch. On one card I added a bow that is tied with our NEW Old Olive Linen Thread...LOVE IT! The other, I left plain (for our challenge)!!  I used Whisper White Note Cards and Envelopes which measure 5" X 3 1/2".  They work PERFECTLY for #simplestamping!! You get 20 cards and envelopes for only $6.50...a great deal!

"Make-It Monday" (ON TUESDAY) - Label Me Pretty

Good Morning everyone!  I hope you had a TERRIFIC long weekend!  I hope you are rested and refreshed and ready for your week!  It's also my hope that you are not being evacuated because of flooding or lava...STAY SAFE my paper crafting friends!  

Today is Tuesday...I know...but because I shared my AMERICAN FLAG Tuesday's Tip video yesterday, Monday (Memorial Day), I'm sharing this weeks "Make-It Monday" on Tuesday!  I LOVE this card...hope you do too!

• Stamp Sets – Label Me Pretty (143858w, 143861c); Timeless Textures (140514w; 140517c)
• Card Stock –Very Vanilla (101650)
• Stamp Pads – Early Espresso (126974); VersaMark (102283)
• Miscellaneous – Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack (144177); Copper Foil Sheets (142020); Copper Stampin’ Embossing Powder (141636); Heat Tool (129053); 1/4” Copper Trim (144179); Copper Metallic Thread (141696); Pretty Label Punch (143715); Everyday Label Punch (144668); 1 1/4" Circle Punch (119861); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430)

Measurements:

• Very Vanilla CS:  4 1/4” x 11”; 4” x 5 1/4”; 2” x 4”
• Copper Foil Paper: 2 1/2” x 3";
• Wood Textures DSP: 3 3/4” x 5"

        
Instructions:

1. Score Very Vanilla cardstock at 5 1/2” then fold to form card base.
2. Stamp ‘smudge’ images from Timeless Textures around edges of Wood Textures DSP using Early Espresso ink.
3. Stamp ‘circles’ images randomly on Wood Textures DSP using Early Espresso ink.
4. Adhere Wood Textures DSP to Very Vanilla CS piece. 
5. Wrap Copper Trim around Very Vanilla piece and tie in knot.
6. Add unit to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
7. Stamp ‘label’ image onto Very Vanilla CS piece using VersaMark ink. Sprinkle with Copper Embossing Powder.  Shake off excess powder.  Heat to melt using Heat Tool.  Punch out using Pretty Label Punch.
8. Stamp ‘sentiment’ image onto Very Vanilla CS piece using VersaMark ink. Sprinkle with Copper Embossing Powder.  Shake off excess powder.  Heat to melt using Heat Tool. Punch out using 1 1/4" Circle Punch.
9. Punch Copper Foil using Everyday Label Punch.
10. Adhere embossed punched Label piece to Copper Foil Label.  Add unit to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
11. Create multiple loops from Copper Metallic Thread behind embossed punched circle piece.  Add to center of Labels using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
