I have been a Stampin' Up Demonstrator since 2010 and love ALL THINGS paper crafting. I also have a scrapbooking retreat business called Scrap Happens Retreats. I love teaching and learning new techniques, sharing ideas, hosting my retreats, being a wife and a mom. Hiking, bicycling, gardening and cooking are a few of my other hobbies. "Make-It Monday" Above the Clouds

Good morning!  I hope your long weekend was wonderful!  We are on our cruise!  I'll be posting photos on my Facebook page if you'd like to follow along! 

Since it's Monday...it's time for a new "Make-It Monday" Tutorial!  ENJOY!

Supplies:
  • Stamp Sets – Above the Clouds (149404)
  • Card Stock – Pacific Point (111350); Whisper White (100730); Balmy Blue (146982); Real Red (102482); Crumb Cake (120953); Melon Mambo (115320); Coastal Cabana (131297); Daffodil Delight (119683)
  • Stamp Pads – Memento Tuxedo Black (132708); Melon Mambo (147051); Coastal Cabana (147097); Early Espresso (147114)
  • Misc. – Pretty Label Punch (143715); Hot Air Balloon Punch (149520); Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder (147923); Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (144108); Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755); SNAIL Adhesive (104332)
      
Measurements:  

  • Pacific Point: 4 ¼” x 11” scored at 2 ¾” and 5 ½”; 1” x 3 ¾” scored ½” at each end (3)
  • Balmy Blue: 5 ¼” x 4” and 2 ½” x 4” (2)
  • Whisper White: ¾” x 5 ¼ ” and ¾” x 2 ½” (2) and 2 ½” x 6” to punch 3 “clouds” from Pretty Label Punch
  • Crumb Cake: ½” x 3” –(for baskets)                           
  • Real Red:  1” x 11” scored at 2 ¾” and 5 ½” ; 2” x 2 ½” (for balloon punch)
  • Melon Mambo: 2” x 2 1/2” (for balloon punch)
  • Coastal Cabana: 2” x 2 ½” (for balloon punch)
  • Daffodil Delight: 2” x 2 ½” (for balloon punch)                 
      
Instructions:
 

  1. Emboss 3 pieces of Balmy Blue with Curls & Swirls Embossing Folder. Adhere these pieces to the 3 sections on Pacific Point card base. Stamp birds in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on top right corner of card base.
  2. Fold Real Red strip over and under then put glue on back of each end. Glue one end to front of card base and the other end to the inside of card base about 1” from bottom (See picture for placement).
  3. Stamp saying in Memento Tuxedo Black on ¾” x 5 ¼” Whisper White strip one row at a time centered on strip by masking the other rows, inking the stamp and then removing the mask before stamping. Glue the 3 white strips on the corresponding Real Red strip already glued to card base.  
  4. Glue each ½” end of 3 Pacific Point strips to inside of box created by Real Red strip. Glue one end to card base and the other end to back of Real Red strip. Glue first strip ½” from back of card. Then glue the next strip ½” from Real Red strip. Lastly, glue third strip center between the other 2 strips already glued. Fold card to make sure everything folds down flat.
  5. Punch 3 “clouds” from Whisper White piece with Pretty Label Punch. Cut one in half. Glue on card (See picture for placement).
  6. Stamp balloon stamp in Melon Mambo ink on Melon Mambo c/s. Then punch out with Balloon Punch and cut off bottom half of balloon. Punch another balloon out of Real Red c/s. Glue Melon Mambo top to Real Red balloon.
  7. Stamp in Coastal Cabana ink the other balloon stamp on Coastal Cabana c/s. Then punch with balloon punch.
  8. Punch 3rd balloon out of Daffodil Delight c/s. Then stamp banner in Memento Tuxedo Black across the balloon.
  9. Stamp 3 baskets in Early Espresso ink on Crumb Cake strip and punch out with Balloon punch. Adhere 2 baskets to the bottom of the Coastal Cabana and Daffodil Delight balloons.
  10. Glue Red/Pink balloon to front of card centered on white cloud. Use a mini dimensional to adhere basket to bottom of balloon directly on card front.
  11. Glue the other 2 balloons on the Pacific Point strips inside card box--the back balloon higher than the middle balloon.
