Note Cards, Garden Impressions and Southern Serenade

Good Morning and HAPPY FRIDAY!  Yay...it's almost the weekend!  I'm heading down the mountain today...gonna spend the night with my oldest daughter then take my youngest daughter shopping tomorrow, for her eighth grade graduation dress and shoes!  It's ALWAYS fun to see as many of my kids as I can!

Today's card is another card from my May classes.  It's very sweet and simple!

This card starts with a Very Vanilla Note Card base. These note cards also come in Whisper White.  You get 20 cards and 20 envelopes for $6.50.  The first layer is a 3 1/4 X 4 3/4 piece of Blueberry Bushel cardstock.  Next is a 3 X 4 1/2 piece of Garden Impressions designer paper.  Before attaching it to the card base, I wrapped Calypso Coral Ombre  Ribbon around it, tying it into a bow.  The sentiment is from the Southern Serenade stamp set (retiring) and the flowers are punched with the Bitty Blooms punch pack (sadly these are gone already...I just found that out on Wednesday). Each flower has a Pearl in the center!  I love the simplicity of this card and the ease of creating it!  I hope you'll give it a try!

OnStage Swap Cards - BE INSPIRED

Good Morning and HAPPY Thursday! Oh man...it's a BEAUTIFUL day here in Weaverville today! The skies are blue and clear AND it's suppose to be 83 degrees today! I LOVE IT!!! 

Today, I want to share my OnStage swap card with you!  I made 50 to trade!  I think I have about 45 to share with you (I just gave some away too...even if they didn't have a swap)!

My card base is Whisper White. The first layer is Mint Macaron and measures 4" X 5 1/4".  I embossed it with the Subtle embossing folder.  Just like a few of my other cards this month, I used the Petals & More framelits for the trellis background.  It it attached with Mini Dimensionals in strategic places so they would be hidden by the sentiment!

The sentiment is from the Treat Time stamp set and the flowers are punched with the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack. I finished it off with a pearl in the center of each flower!

Below are a few of the swaps that I received!  I'll be sharing them for the next few days so I don't overwhelm you!  All of these are created with the Flowering Desert stamp set. I LOVE how it was used to make an adorable little bunny for a 2" X 2" tag!  SO CREATIVE!!

Abstract Impressions

Hello there!!! I’m catching my flight to North Carolina in just a bit, but wanted to quickly share a couple of cards I kicked around as options for my OnStage swaps!  

Both are made with the Abstract Impressions stamp set. The colors I used are Mint Macaron, Flirty Flamingo and Whisper White.  I also used the Subtle Embossing Folder, the Stitched Shapes Framelits, the Petals & More Framelits, the Well Written Framelits and the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack.

Incredible Like You!

Hello and YAY...it's Friday!  I'm LOVING the spring rains we've been having! How is it where you are?  What's on your agenda for the weekend?  I'm going to a Vintage Market, called Rust & Roses later this afternoon down in Redding and I can't wait! I already have my tickets...my daughter is going with me! They have so many FUN things there...I always find great deals on old metal buckets (which I love)!  This time I'm looking for a birthday gift for my oldest daughter, Sarah...something groovy for her house!  Tomorrow is another volleyball tournament in Chico...that will be a FUN day too!  

Today...I have another card we're making in my April classes to share with you!  It's so simple...but so BEAUTIFUL!  I hope you love it as much as I do!

This beautiful card has a 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" card base (scored at 4 1/4").  The first layer is a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock embossed with the Subtle embossing folder.  Next I used the Petals & More framelits to cut the Coastal Cabana background strip and a used mini dimensionals to attach it to the card, putting them in strategic places where they would be hidden behind a flower or the sentiment.  The sentiment is from the Incredible Like You stamp set and is stamped with Gray Granite ink and punched out with the Pretty Label Punch. It is also attached with dimensionals!  Last I used the Bitty Blooms punch pack to punch three Whisper White flowers and attached them with glue dots! Of course...I had to add Pearl Basic Jewels as the flower centers.  Isn't it a great card?

Floral Romance

Hello everyone! Are you ready for your day?  It's almost 10:30am and I'm just getting started and I feel like I need a nap already!  I hope you enjoyed last nights Blog Hop!

I'm back today and want to share a card we're making at my April classes!  I had a class last night and this was a big hit! I hope you like it too!!

The card base is Whisper White and the first layer is Gray Granite! The designer paper is from the Floral Romance pack and is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! I attached it to the cardstock using snail adhesive lightly in the corners!  Next I embossed a 1 1/2" X 4" piece of Fresh Fig cardstock with the Petal Burst embossing folder and adhered it to the vellum with dimensionals.  I used the Everyday Label Punch to cut the background for my sentiment from Mossy Meadow cardstock.  The sentiment is from the His Grace stamp set and is stamped in Gray Granite ink and punched with the 1 1/2" Circle Punch.  I used the Leaf Punch with Pear Pizzazz cardstock and one of the Bitty Blooms punches with Petal Pink cardstock for the flowers.  I finished the card by adding some Old Olive Linen Thread and Pearl Basic Jewels to the centers of the flowers!  Isn't it a BEAUTIFUL card!  I LOVE how it turned out and it can be used for so many different occasions simply by changing the sentiment!

Share What You Love - Sketch Challenge!

Good Morning everyone!  YAY!  It's Friday...your weekend is almost here! Do you have any fun plans?  Will you have any time to create?  I have NO PLANS for the weekend! I do have to head down the mountain today, for Redding, to make a Costco run and do my taxes! My husband took the day off to go with me so we'll probably have a lunch date too!

Today's card is one that I created for a team sketch challenge.  Sketches are FUN...they get me thinking differently. I especially like this one because of the angles!  

Here's the sketch!  Will you try it? There are so many options!  Do you use embossing folders or  designer paper....or do you use only cardstock?  Do you change the circle to an oval or a square?  That banner...do you want to make it from ribbon?  Every single card in the challenge is different!  One gal used a punched dog to replace the circle!  

Let me show you what I did!!

My card base is a 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" piece of Whisper White cardstock with a 4 1/8" X 5 3/8" piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock as the first layer.  Next I added a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Share What You Love Designer Paper.  My banner is Old Olive cardstock embossed with the Dot to Dot embossing folder and cut into a banner with the Banner Triple Punch. The angled piece and band piece are also from the Share What You Love designer paper.  I LOVE THIS PAPER!!!

The sentiment is from the Best Bird stamp set and is stamped onto a Stitched Shapes Circle. I stamped the background image in Mint Macaron. I punched the greenery with the Sprig Punch and cut it in half, added some Old Olive Linen Thread and Linen Thread tied together into a bow and attached with a glue dot.  Last I added a flower punched with the Bitty Blooms punch pack (from the same designer paper) and added a pearl as it's center.  Everything except the two layers and the banner are attached with dimensionals!  I LOVE how it turned out! I have a friend whose anniversary is TODAY...YIKES...I'm gonna be late, but I'm gonna send it to her and her husband!
