Pressed Floral Journal - My Thankful Journal

Hello everyone!  WOW...this week has flown by!  I had a great class yesterday...fun and wonderful women!  Did you have a chance to check out the blog hop I participated in last night?  There were some beautiful creations!  It's not to late...scroll down to last nights post where you'll see mine then click on next to see more!

Remember in yesterday's blog I mentioned that I created a journal to write down what I'm thankful for?  I promised to share it with you today! I hope you love it like i do!

Isn't it lovely?  It's created using the Pressed Floral Journal.

It's only 4 1/4" X 5 1/2".  It has 24 pages with different designs (pictures below). I love it because it's small enough to fit in my purse! I carry it with me when I go out...I leave it on my counters at my home...it goes with me out to my shop!  I get so much joy in noticing things to be thankful for...it's such a blessing, draws me closer to God and is very healing!

Here' what's inside!

I also used the Stitched Nesting Dies and the Stitched Shapes Dies to create the background.  The Mossy Meadow piece is embossed with the Scripty 3D embossing folder.  The journal itself is embossed as well...it comes that way!

I used the Beautiful Friendship stamp set for the flowers and the leaves.  The sentiment is from the Painted Harvest stamp set.  It actually says I am thankful for you (and I am)...but for this project I didn't ink up the for you!

After my stamping was complete I attached that stitched circle to a Pearlized Doily then attached it to the journal.  I also used Designer Elements as accents and added a bow made with Linen Thread and Mossy Meadow linen thread.

Last, I tied Magnolia Lane White 3/8" Ribbon and Rocco Rose Scalloped Linen Ribbon to the first five wires of the journals spine.  I LOVE how it turned out and I LOVE writing in it!  I've ordered a bunch to give as gifts...I'm pretty jazzed!

Here are a few close ups!

Well...that's it for today!  I hope you're inspired to create but more importantly I hope you are inspired to be thankful...for the small stuff and the big stuff, for the ordinary and mundane along with the amazing an spectacular.  There is always something to be thankful for!

Thanks for stopping by and letting me share something that I'm really excited and passionate about!  HUGS to you all!
