Hello there stampers! Happy Friday to you all!! Hope your day is great and your weekend is even better! I'm going for a bike ride with my husband today! I have to get on my bike! My Stampin' Up! trip to Greece is coming up in two months and my husband and I added a bicycling tour in Northern Italy afterward! This is the first trip I've earned with Stampin' Up! and it's our 30th wedding anniversary in July...it will be a great way to celebrate!! So a cycling I will go today!!
But first...I want to share another card from my May classes! Normally we make four projects, mostly cards, but sometimes a 3-D project as well! This month I decided to add a #simplestamping card...and here it is!
This #simplestamping card is created with the 3 1/2" " X 5" Whisper White Note Cards. You get 20 cards and envelopes for only $6.50. They also come in Very Vanilla!
I used the Incredible Like You (RETIRING) stamp set! I'm sure gonna miss this set! I used Smoky Slate ink to stamp the lines at the top and bottom of the card...I inked up the stamp, stamped on a piece of scratch paper then stamped on the card for a lighter color. This is called stamping off. This allowed me to stamp the sentiment in the same color but it's darker because I did not stamp off! Next the flower is stamped in Flirty Flamingo and Soft Sea Foam ink. The flower and stem are created with two stamps (this is called two-step stamping). In this case, the stamps cause the color variation. Both the details and the background are stamped with the same color of inks (without stamping off) but the stamps make the details darker. Pretty cool I think!! I LOVE #simplestamping and plan to incorporate in my classes more often!
That's it for today! Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by! Have a FABULOUS day and weekend! Hope you find a bit of time to create...maybe try a little #simplestamping!!
REMEMBER...use May's hostess code KBW6KJ4T and place a minimum order of $50 (before tax and shipping) and you will also receive the gift pictured below...FREE from me!
