Blessed AND GRATEFUL

Good morning everyone!  I'm happy to be here today and share one of the cards from my August classes!  Today's a busy day!  I have a class tonight that I'm only partially ready for!  Fortunately, my daughter, Kate is going to help me by doing some Big Shot work!  She is OFTEN my life saver because I'm ALWAYS flying by the seat of my pants!

Hey...come back this evening at 6:00pm and join me for another ICS (Inspire, Create & Share) BLOG HOP!  Our theme this month is Beautiful Bundles, so lots of bundles will be showcased!

Today's card is one of my favorites because it is indicative of how I am feeling lately.  I am so blessed and I am so grateful!  I just finished reading a book by Ann VosKamp, called One Thousand Gifts>  It's about being thankful.  Now I'm making a list of all the things I am thankful for...the big things, the small things...the mundane and the ordinary things. Being thankful and thanking God brings me closer to Him and it takes me from sorrowful places.  I can be weeping and begin thanking God and I am lifted from that sorrowful place.  Thankfulness truly is healing! I decorated a cute journal to write in...I'll share it tomorrow!

I really love this card and hope you do too! It is created with the To A Wild Rose stamp set.  My card base is a 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" piece of Whisper White cardstock. It has a 4" X 5 1/4" Basic Black layer and a 3 3/4" x 5" Whisper White layer, which I stamped on!  I heat embossed the "and grateful" onto Basic Black cardstock using VersaMark and white embossing powder then punched it out with the Classic Label punch! It is attached with dimensionals!  The flower is stamped with Crushed Curry and Daffodil Delight ink and Blessed is stamped in Memento Black.  Isn't it BEAUTIFUL?  I really enjoyed creating it!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  It's always fun sharing new inspiration!  I hope you carve out a little bit of time today to create!

Here's a reminder of all that's happening this month!

Garden Impressions and Country Floral - Negative Space

Hello there!  How's it going this morning? Mornings can be so wonderful...but can also be so hectic...today is a good day and I am thankful! I'm starting a new class today! I'm SO EXCITED!!  Before I head out I want to share a with you with a banner like I demonstrated on my Tuesday's Tip video this week!

I LOVE this card...hope you do too!  My card base is a 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" piece of Whisper White cardstock and is scored at 4 1/4".  My first layer is also Whisper White and measures 4" X 5 1/4".  First I cut a circle in it with my Stitched Shapes Framelits then embossed it with the Country Floral embossing folder.  Next, I cut a 3" X 3" piece of Garden Impressions designer paper and adhered it to my card base (where the open circle will let it show) and then I attached the embossed layer with dimensionals.  I cut a banner with my Rectangle Stitched Framelits (see yesterdays video) and stamped the sentiment with VersaMark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  I tied a couple threads from the White Flax Ribbon around the side of the first layer, into a bow to finish it off.  Did I say I LOVE it?  I hope you'll give it a try! If you need any of these supplies click on SHOP NOW and it will take you directly to my Stampin' Up! store!
