Share What You Love - TWIST...from Masculine to Feminine

Good Morning Everyone!  It's a BEAUTIFUL day!  I started with spin class and I'm going to the coast today to celebrate my birthday!  There's a really good restaurant, Moonstone, in Trinidad that I've been wanting to try and my husband made reservations!  We're leaving soon, Adam and Kate are going with us and we're meeting my son Seth (who lives over there)!  I can't wait.  First we're gonna go say hi to the bulldogs and take them to Moonstone Beach...then dinner!  YAY!!!

Today's card is yesterdays card with the designer paper turned over.  It went from a masculine to feminine with just a turn!

Here's what I did!

The card base is Early Espresso with a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Crumb cake and a 3 1/4" X 5" piece of Share What You Love designer paper.  I turned yesterday's designer paper over to find this BEAUTIFUL feminine side. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PAPER!!  I used my Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut Early Espresso and Crumb Cake squares. The sentiment is from the Perennial Birthday stamp set.  It is stamped with Berry Burst ink onto a 3 1/2" X 1 1/2" piece of Whisper White cardstock.   I inked the edges with a dauber and Early Espresso ink.  Last, I added a Berry Burst bow with some Linen Thread as well to replace the button from yesterday's card.

Well..that's it!  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a FANTASTIC day....and take just a moment to CREATE!!

Share What You Love Suite - Masculine Birthday

Hello there!  How's everyone doing today?  I sure hope all is well!  Life is good here except that I keep having twinges in my back.  I had one the other day, but it went away...today it keeps happening.  DANG...I'm really trying to age gracefully...but this hurts, so I'm whining a bit!  I think I'll go ice it and heat it when I'm done here!

Today I have another card from my Share What You Love centered classes. It's a MASCULINE birthday card (I'm trying to create at least one a week)!

The card base is Early Espresso with a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Crumb cake and a 3 1/4" X 5" piece of Share What You Love designer paper.  I used my Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut Early Espresso and Crumb Cake squares. The sentiment is from the Big On Birthdays stamp set and is retiring the end of the month.  It is stamped with Early Espresso Ink onto a 3 1/2" X 1 1/2" piece of Whisper White cardstock.   I inked the edges with a dauber and Early Espresso ink.  The True Gentleman button has an X tied through it with Linen Thread.  I used Multipurpose Glue (the green glue...because of the bottle) to attach it to the card!

The Share What You Love Bundles are wonderful and are available as bundles (so their discounted) through May 31st!  Be sure to check them out! When you go to my store click on Share What You Love to see it all!

Hey...THANKS a BUNCH for stopping by today!! I hope you have a FABULOUS rest of your day!  Take a moment to do something that you LOVE to do!!

Share What You Love Suite

Good Morning everyone!  Blessings to you all this WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY!  That sounds really corny, but it really is a wonderful day!  I'm up and at 'em early today.  I'm teaching the Wednesday spin class at our gym and I have a card class down in Redding! Last night was kind of a wild night...thunder and lightning.  We lost so many houses to fire last year...the lightning is a bit worrisome, but I LOVE the thunder...then the downpour...and thankfully no fires (that I've heard of)!

Today I'm sharing a card we'll be making in class today!  It's SIMPLE but so pretty.  I hope you'll be inspired to spend a little bit of time creating today!

The card base is Whisper White with a 4" X 5 1/4" Basic Black mat.  Next is a 3 7/8" X 5 1/8" Whisper White mat that I adhered a 3 3/4" X 5" piece of Share What You Love designer paper.  This paper pack is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!  Next I cut the largest scalloped oval, from the Layering Ovals framelits in Basic Black. I also cut the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes framelits in Wood Texture designer paper.  I stamped a light background (you can barely see it) in Pool Party ink using the Make A Difference stamp set (that comes in the bundle) directly onto the Wood Texture dsp.  I also stamped the flower and the sentiment, from the same set, in Memento Black ink.  I used my Blender Pens to color in the flowers by barely touching the tip of the pen onto my Berry Burst ink pad. Isn't is lovely?

Hey...thanks BUNCHES for stopping by!  I'm heading to spin class...wish me luck!  Have a FANTASTIC day and if you're coming to class...I'll SEE YOU SOON!

Share What You Love

Good morning stampin' friends! I hope you are well! I've been working in my yard for the last few days. The leaves are gone, the weeds up...I even did some planting in my flower beds and pots yesterday and I am SORE.  I LOVE old metal buckets and have about 20 of them to plant.  I so enjoy this time of year!  Later in the afternoon the clouds rolled in, the thunder made itself heard and the rain came down....it was wonderful!  Today...I have to go down the mountain to the eye doctor for my annual check-up...then back home to play and plant!  I hope you find some time to play too!!

I have another card we're making in my May classes to share with you! I hope you are INSPIRED!
The card base is Basic Black with a 4" X 5 1/4" Whisper White mat. Mint Macaron is back!!!! YAY!!!!  I used it for my next layer and it measures 3 3/4" X 5".  I embossed it using the Lovely Floral embossing folder. Next, I used my Layering Ovals framelits to cut a scalloped oval in Basic Black and my Stitched Shapes framelits to cut an oval using the Share What You Love designer paper (it's BEAUTIFUL).  The sentiment if from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and it stamped in Memento Ink onto a Stitched Shape circle.  Both the oval and the circle are attached with dimensionals.  I also added a couple pieces of Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon underneath the sentiment!  The Share What You Love Bundle is BEAUTIFUL!  I hope you'll check it out and give it a try!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a FANTASTIC day!

Share What You Love Suite

Good Morning everyone!  Crazy...busy day today for me!  I hope your day is nice and relaxed!  First I taught spin class!  DONE!  Second...it's the Enchilada Dinner...a fundraiser for next years 8th grade trip!  I had to deliver cupcakes...but first I had to round up all the cupcake holders from Kate's orders...DONE!!  Next...I have one thing that I REALLY want to create, but there's NO TIME...I'm heading to Adam's LAST baseball game of the season.  It's a couple hours away from here so I need to leave by noon.  I feel bad that I can't help with the dinner...but there aren't two of me today...and I've helped with FIVE other enchilada dinners!  The baseball game is in Etna which is a beautiful drive from my house over Scott's Mountain.  My husband is riding his bike (he's already gone) and I'm gonna meet him there!  After the game we're going to a new restaurant in town that we've heard is SUPERB!  I can't wait!

Today's project is a card we are making in this months classes!  It's AGAIN, created with the Share What You Love Suite!

This is a SUPER simple and quick card to make!  My card base is Whisper White. Next,  I used the Lovely Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to emboss a 4" X 5 1/4" of Whisper White cardstock.  You can use regular or thick...if you're having trouble with your paper cracking, spritz it with a little water first! I used my daubers and Old Olive, Berry Burst and Powder Pink inks to sponge color onto the embossed images.  Last, I tied a piece of Berry Burst 5/8" Crinkled Ribbon into a bow at the top (be sure to do your embossing towards the bottom of the cardstock so you have room for your ribbon).  I also added a few Share What You Love Artisan Pearls and attached the image to my card base with dimensionals!  Isn't it LOVELY?!!

Hey...thanks BUNCHES for stopping by!  Have a FABULOUS day and weekend!  I be back on Monday with  a NEW "Make-It Monday"!

Share What You Love Suite

Good Morning everyone!  I hope your day is off to a great start!  Things are looking good here...kind of a nostalgic day!  While taking kids to school this morning Roy Clark came on the radio singing, Yesterday When I Was Young, ...reminding me of my mom and dad.  Now I'm here typing my blog, listening to Eddy Arnold, Glen Campbell, Andy Williams, Englebert...the goodies.  Oh how my mom LOVED Eddy Arnold and Englebert Humperdink.  Everyday when I came home from school one of them would be on her stereo, she had so many albums! My dad too...he loved big band music and the crooners!  I used to love to watch my mom and dad dance in the the kitchen.  My dad would take her in his arms and swing her around so gracefully, the would laugh and kiss...it made me so happy.  I love how music can evoke so many memories...happy and sad...it takes us to a different time!

Well...last night I had a class and it went great!  I LOVE my classes.  It's so wonderful getting together with other ladies...friends...getting to a place where there are no worries...just creating!  Of course I waited to the last minute to prepare so I was in my workshop most of the day.  I did have a plan though, which made it easier to get started.  My plan was to center my May classes around the Share What You Love Suite! Today, I'd like to share one of the cards that I created but didn't use at the class!  I hope you like it!

I LOVE this card!  It has a Crumb Cake card base with a 4" x 5 1/4" Fresh Fig mat then a 3 3/4" X 5" piece of Wood Textures designer paper.  I...OF COURSE...got the Gotta Have It All Bundle so I used the Love What You Do stamp set.  The background is inked in Pool Party then spritzed with water and stamped directly onto the designer paper.  I used my Fresh Fig and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers to color the stem and flower outlines then I took my blender pen and dipped it in Fresh Fig, starting from the bottom, I colored in each flower petal...making the bottom darker then the tops.  I stamped the sentiment (from the same stamp set) in Memento Black ink.  Before adhering it to my card base I tied a piece of 1/4" Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon into a knot.  I then took four pieces of Linen Thread and tied a bow around the knot.  Super cute and easy card to make!  I hope you'll give it a try!  If you need supplies, I'd love to be your demonstrator...just click on SHOP and you can purchase what you need form my store!

Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by today!  I'll be sharing more of the cards from this suite over the next couple of weeks! I have to head down the mountain now to deliver orders so I'll be heading out soon!  You have a FABULOUS day!
