Buffalo Check and Wishing You Well....

Good Morning!  Here it is FRIDAY already!  YAY!!! I'm having a wonderful time at the retreat!  It's always fun to be with friends!

The 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" card base is Crumb Cake cardstock.  The first mat is Whisper White and measures 4" X 5 1/4".  Next I used the Buffalo Check stamp to create the background using Real Red ink onto a 3 7/8" X 5 1/8" piece of Whisper White cardstock.  The wreath is created with the Wishing You Well stamp set and is stamped in Tranquil Tide ink onto a Stitched Shapes square.  There's that awesome bow again...from the same stamp set and stamped in Real Red ink. The sentiment is from the Christmas Pines stamp set.  It is stamped in Crumb Cake ink onto a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock then added to a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.  I added a True Gentleman's Button with Linen Thread tied through it to make it just a bit more country and rustic!!  SUPER CUTE CARD!

Ok! I'm heading home on Sunday!  Have a TERRIFIC weekend!  I hope you find time to create!  I'll see you Monday with a new "Make-It Monday"!  As always...THANKS A BUNCH for stopping by!

Happy Father's Day (Masculine) - Facebook Hop with Rooted in Nature & Thoughtful Banners

Hey there everyone! What's up today? I can tell you what's up here...it's Facebook Hop time again!  Our theme this month is Father's Day or Masculine and there are 10 of us participating so you'll get lots of ideas! Be sure to go to my Facebook page at 5:00pm tonight to start the hop and be inspired!

Here is the card I created for the hop. My card base is Early Espresso and measures 5 1/2" X 8 1/2".  The first layer is Whisper White and measures 4 1/8" X 5 3/8".  The top layer is Early Espresso and I embossed it with the Pinewood Plank embossing folder.  It measures 4" X 5 1/4".  I used the Rooted in Nature stamp set for the tree, the Happy Birthday Thinlit for the word HAPPY (I just cut it away from BIRTHDAY...saving it for another card!). The FATHER'S DAY sentiment is from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set! I tied some Black Baker's Twine around the sentiment and some White Baker's Twine through two True Gentleman buttons and frayed the ends just for fun!  I know your wondering about the circle behind the sentiment....keep scrolling!

I did some weaving with the Wood Textures designer paper by cutting two different designs into 3/4" X 6" strips. It's a FUN technique but does take some time so be patient! The result is totally worth it!

Here is what I was able to cut from two 6" X 6" pieces of paper!  I used my Layered Circle Framelits.  I think they're really cool!!

Now...don't neglect the inside of your card!  I just stamped some more trees with the Rooted in Nature stamp set. I used Shaded Spruce ink for the inside and the outside trees.

I really love how it turned out and hope you do too!

Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by today!  I hope you'll join our Facebook Hop and take just a moment to like our pages and leave a quick comment!

Have a FANTASTIC evening!!

Share What You Love Suite - Masculine Birthday

Hello there!  How's everyone doing today?  I sure hope all is well!  Life is good here except that I keep having twinges in my back.  I had one the other day, but it went away...today it keeps happening.  DANG...I'm really trying to age gracefully...but this hurts, so I'm whining a bit!  I think I'll go ice it and heat it when I'm done here!

Today I have another card from my Share What You Love centered classes. It's a MASCULINE birthday card (I'm trying to create at least one a week)!

The card base is Early Espresso with a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Crumb cake and a 3 1/4" X 5" piece of Share What You Love designer paper.  I used my Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut Early Espresso and Crumb Cake squares. The sentiment is from the Big On Birthdays stamp set and is retiring the end of the month.  It is stamped with Early Espresso Ink onto a 3 1/2" X 1 1/2" piece of Whisper White cardstock.   I inked the edges with a dauber and Early Espresso ink.  The True Gentleman button has an X tied through it with Linen Thread.  I used Multipurpose Glue (the green glue...because of the bottle) to attach it to the card!

The Share What You Love Bundles are wonderful and are available as bundles (so their discounted) through May 31st!  Be sure to check them out! When you go to my store click on Share What You Love to see it all!

Hey...THANKS a BUNCH for stopping by today!! I hope you have a FABULOUS rest of your day!  Take a moment to do something that you LOVE to do!!
