"Make-It Monday" Daisy Delight

Good Morning everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed your time celebrating fathers...with time...with memories...with laughter, perhaps even some tears! Church was wonderful this morning, then we BBQ'd baby back ribs and sausage, enjoyed macaroni salad and baked beans...FORGOT the corn on the cob, ate too much garlic bread...DEVOURED the Lemon Meringue and Coconut Cream pies...played Mexican Train until it was cool enough to go outside and play some cornhole! FUN..FUN...FUN!!! Not all the kid made it home, but it was still a terrific day...we appreciate and TREASURE any time we get to spend with our children! At the end of the day...before I went to bed and all ways quiet, I took some time to look at old photos of my dad and remember how good he was to me, how he always cheered me on, how he loved me and I loved him.  To end the night I reflected on how grateful I am for a Heavenly Father who is always there...constant...loving...disciplining...forgiving...I am BLESSED!

Well...it's "Make-It Monday" time...this was shared with me by my up-upline, Stella MacKay and I just had to share it with you! This Daisy punch is scheduled to be available for order on June 26th...it's a GREAT punch! ENJOY!!!

Measurements:
  • Whisper White base: 4-1/4" x 11", scored at 5-1/2", folded in half and burnished with a Bone Folder. A strip 4-1/4" x 1/2" for horizontal stamped piece. A scrap about 7/8" x 3-1/2" for sentiment. Daisy body needs two pieces about 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" each. Small scrap for daisy's center.
  • Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper: 4-1/4" x 3"
  • Night of Navy: 5" x 1"
  • Linen Thread: About 25"
  • Daffodil Delight ribbon: About 5"
Instructions:
  1. Using Daffodil Delight ink and Diagonal Stripe, stamp image horizontally across bottom of card.  Using Stamp-a-ma-jig align the stripes so they are at a right angle to the already stamped lines. You want the final stamped image at least 3" up from the bottom. It's OK if you stamp stray marks on the upper half of the card front as it will be covered with paper later.
  2. Repeat step #1 on a small scrap and punch daisy center with 3/4" punch.
  3. Using SNAIL, adhere the Designer Series Paper to the top part of the card front.
  4. Stamp two daisies and punch out. Attach to one another with some SNAIL making sure to stagger the petals so they all fan out evenly. Brush all petals with Wink of Stella. Adhere daisy center with SNAIL and set flower aside.
  5. Using the scallop shaped die in the Seasonal Layers Thinlits, die cut the Night of Navy piece as close to the long edge as you can. Adhere to card front with SNAIL.
  6. Using Night of Navy ink, stamp the asterisk-like flowers in a straight line on the narrow Whisper White strip. Adhere to card front slightly overlapping the top of the Night of Navy scalloped piece. The piece will stick out on both sides. Trim with Paper Snips.
  7. Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, apply a narrow strip on the back of the Daffodil Delight ribbon and adhere to card front slightly overlapping piece from #6. Set aside to dry. Trim edges of ribbon.
  8. Stamp sentiment with Night of Navy ink onto 7/8" x 3-1/2" Whisper White piece aligning slightly left of center to leave room for creating banner. Create banner by trimming with Paper Snips. Staple left end of banner and set aside.
  9. Tie knot at ends of Linen Thread to create one circle. Wrap circle around your hand a few times till desired size. Using a small piece of tape or the stapler, attach all circles together so they stay put. Tape to front of card taking care to tape it in a place that will be covered by the daisy.
  10. Using one Dimensional, attach daisy to card.
  11. Using two Dimensionals, attach sentiment banner to card.
