Good morning everyone! It’s so good to be home but I did have a blast on my vacation!  The weather was perfect....mid to high 70’s!  We fished, rode quads, kayaked, swam, enjoyed the hot tub and ATE! It was WONDERFUL!!!

I'm already back at creating!  On Saturday, a dear friend (who also happens to be a downline) went to Carmichael to a class another team member was having! There were gifts, prizes, make-n-takes and some great tips! I think there were about 40 of us there and it was so much fun!  I joined a Birthday Card swap there that I will be sharing with you later this week, but today it's time for a "Make-It Monday"!  ENJOY!!!

Instructions:

  1. Ink basket image with Memento Ink then use Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp it in a balanced fashion onto Whisper White Thick cardstock.
  2. Re-ink enough of the image to be able to stamp a set of the three flowers onto the 2nd piece of Whisper White Thick cardstock.
  3. Using the Stampin’ Blends, color in the full basket image then color the 2nd set of flowers. Fussy the 2nd flowers with Paper Snips, accent with Wink of Stella and set aside.
  4. Adhere the basket image piece to the Rich Razzleberry mat using SNAIL Adhesive.
  5. Using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, adhere flowers to top of flowers on basket image.
  6. Run Crumb Cake card base through Big Shot using Simple Stripes embossing folder. Align card stock in folder so the stripes are horizontal and so they are concave on the front (with the back of the embossing folder on top).
  7. Run darker wood Designer Series Paper (DSP) through Big Shot with the Basket Weave embossing folder.
  8. Stamp sentiment with Chocolate Chip ink onto lighter wood DSP. Trim to be 2-5/8” x ½” then, using Paper Snips, create banner end on left.
  9. Using Tear & Tape, adhere the 5-1/2” piece of Berry Burst ribbon so that the bottom edge of it is about 1-3/8” from bottom of dark wood DSP and so it wraps around back of DSP.
  10. Tie bow with 9” strand of Berry Burst ribbon and trim ends. Set aside.
  11. With Tear & Tape, adhere dark wood DSP to Crumb Cake base.
  12. With Stampin’ Dimensionals, adhere sentiment flush right to edge of dark DSP positioning so sentiment piece is ¼” from the bottom.
  13. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, adhere Rich Razzleberry focal piece to dark DSP.
  14. With one Mini Glue Dot, attach bow to edge of basket piece towards lower left.
  15. Squeeze a little dot of Multipurpose Liquid Glue onto scrap paper then use tip to lift then place  ma tiny dab of glue where you want the Mini Metallic Sequins to go. Position sequins using the tip of your Paper Snips as tweezers. Let dry.

20 Cards in a Tin - Day THIRTEEN - Birthday Blast

Hey there and HAPPY FRIDAY! YIKES...it's Day THIRTEEN of my projects...and it's FRIDAY...will I have bad luck? NOPE...I'm not superstitious, but it did make me giggle!  I woke up to overcasts skies, cooler weather and a day that I have NOTHING to do except work in my workshop! I'm super EXCITED!!!  My husband found a new ice cream maker yesterday so we're gonna make some vanilla ice cream tonight! Have you seen how much vanilla is?  The big bottle at Costco is $24.99...but I had to have it!  Monday, our home group is coming over and we're gonna BBQ and my husband is gonna make Banana ice cream.  When he first made it I thought it sounded TERRIBLE, but then I tasted it and it was delicious.  Then, in a MOMENT of BRILLIANCE I thought this would be good on top of a brownie...with slices of strawberries...some chopped walnuts...and some whipping cream.  It tasted just like a Banana Split and was FANTASTIC!!! Oh...now I can't wait until Monday!!!

Ok....so on to Day THIRTEEN!!!

Here's a FUN Birthday card that we made using Cupcakes and Carousels designer paper, the Birthday Blast stamp set and the Star Blast Thinlit Dies. The colors I chose are Bermuda Bay and So Saffron...such a great combo! I don't have a photo...YIKES...but the inside of the card says HAPPY BIRTHDAY.  The sentiment is in the Birthday Blast stamp set (psst...it's on sale right now because it's retiring!) I'm really bummed that this is the only time I've used this set because it's really FUN and FESTIVE! I have a goal with the new catalog...TO USE EVERYTHING I BUY!!!

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today!  Have a FABULOUS weekend..be ADVENTUROUS!!  STAY SAFE!!!

20 Cards in a Tin - Day TWELVE - Flourishing Phrases

Hey there crafty friends! It's almost the weekend...three dayer...YIPPEE!! For us it's a 4-day weekend as tomorrow is a snow day (we didn't use in this winter), so I'm SUPER excited! Happy to not be on a schedule and hoping to get my workshop finished and some hiking in! I'm headed down the mountain today for ortho/dentist appointments, gonna get to Costco (missing the weekend crowds I HOPE!) for some groceries. My husband is headed to Target to get a new ICE CREAM maker...HOORAY!!! All is right with the world when we have homemade ice cream!!  My daughter and her husband might be coming up to camp close by and that makes me HAPPY. We did get to see them both last night but it was at the hospital...not fun...my daughters father-n-law had to have a pacemaker put it!  He looked great though and was already feeling better...PTL!

Well...I better get going here and share Day TWELVE...so much to do and so little time!

Today's card is DELIGHTFULLY simple and oh so ELEGANT! The background layer is from the Floral Boutique designer paper pack...SADLY it is retiring, but even worse is it's sold out already. The sentiment is from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set and is mounted onto a Night of Navy circle, then onto a Delicate White Doily. I added Basic Rhinestones to finish it off, but Basic Pearls would have been wonderful as well! This is such a simple sketch for a card that comes together so quickly and can be used for ANY occasion with a different sentiment and different colors!  Give it a try if you have a chance!

I'm off to the next project now! I'm feeling good...no more flu and planning on working in my workshop ALL DAY tomorrow! I'm PRAYING nothing comes up! It needs ORGANIZING...wish there was someone local to hire!

Have a FANTASTIC day and thanks BUNCHES for stopping by today! Come back tomorrow for Day THIRTEEN!!!

20 Cards in a Tin - Day ELEVEN - Make a Wish

Good Morning crafters! It's another BEAUTIFUL day here in my little mountain town! I'm getting the bug to get out there and do some hiking! We have over 100 lakes in our Trinity Alps and it's on my bucket list to make it to all of them...I've been to 23. I CAN'T WAIT 'til school is out and I can get my kiddos hiking with me! They complain a bit in the beginning, but end up loving it in the end! We have seen things that people living their entire lives here have never seen! It's truly a blessing! It makes me wish my parents had been outdoorsy...so I would have been exposed to hiking in my youth...there are so many adventures out there...just waiting to happen! I need to get my bicycle going too...haven't been on it in over a year! My husband is an avid cyclist so I go for LEISURELY rides (for him) that are kick my butt rides (for ME)! It's that time of the year!!! FIRST I need to get back to bootcamp and spin class...I have no excuses now...so tomorrow I'm back at it!

Ok...that's ENOUGH about exercise! Today is Day ELEVEN of my 20 Cards in a Tin class projects and I want to SHARE with you!!!

T
This card is a FAVORITE of all the cards we made! It reminds me of my Dandelion Wishes post back in August of 2016. I LOVE to blowing on Dandelions...I know they are weeds and folks take pains to keep them out of their yards...but to me they are FUN!

To recreate this card you'll need the Touches of Texture (dandelion) and Work of Art (background) stamp sets, the Party with Cake (sentiment) stamp set - on sale and retiring, Pool Party and Memento Black ink, Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker, Whisper White cardstock and a few Basic Rhinestones. To stamp the background in Pool Party starting at the top...ink up, stamp off and stamp, next ink and stamp and stamp again, last ink up...stamp off and stamp! The speckles are also stamped in Pool Party ink.  The dandelion and the sentiment are stamped in Memento Black ink and I used my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker for the stem, coloring only the stem without it's leaves! I plan on making many more of these cards using different colors...won't that be FUN?

That's all I have for you today...I hope you are inspired to create...or to make a wish!

Thanks BUNCHES for stopping by to let me SHARE WHAT I LOVE TO DO...WITH YOU!!

Have a WONDERFUL day!

So in Love Anniversary Card

Good morning!  YEP...it's still morning! Thanks for checking in! My pastor asked me to make him a card to give to his lovely wife for their anniversary...OF COURSE I said yes!  Here's what I came up with!!
I started this card with a Very Vanilla card base. The first mat is Island Indigo with the second mat cut from Blooms and Bliss Designer Paper.  I cut one of the new Lace Doilies in half and glued it down with little dots of Multipurpose Glue. I cut a strip of Very Vanilla cardstock 1" X 4" and stamped on it using the GUTS of one of the stamps from the So In Love stamp set.  The stamp set and the doilies are both in the Occasions Catalog!

Here's a close up of what I used...see it's that center piece we would normally throw away. I liked the shape and decided to keep it!
Here's a close up of the sentiment that I stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock with Island Indigo ink and punched with my 1 3/8" Circle Punch and adhered to an Island Indigo circle that I punched with my 1 3/4" punch.  The flower is cut with the NEW Succulent Framelits found in the Occasions Catalog!  I added some Lined Thread and a couple of Basic Rhinestones to finish it!

Last...for the inside of the card...this is stamped with the same So in Love stamp set. The leaves are stamped in Mint Macaron and the sentiment is stamped in Island Indigo!  I should have added some Basic Rhinestones to the leaves, but it's too late...I already delivered it!

Well...that's it for today!  THANKS BUNCHES for stopping by!  I've had a few TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES, so it's no longer morning but it's not dinner time either!  I hope you are INSPIRED to get those stamps out and start creating!
