Floating & Fluttering

Hello there and HAPPY FRIDAY!  YAY!!! It's the weekend! Do you have any plans?  I'm gonna go on a hike with a girlfriend....I'm hoping it isn't terribly muddy!!  I have my 14 Days of Love projects ready and today I'm going to create my monthly class cards for January classes.  I love creating days! I hope you have a wonderful weekend and that you find a bit of time to create!

Floating and Fluttering

·         Card Stock – Flirty Flamingo (141416); Very Vanilla (101650); Night of Navy (100867); Old Olive (100702)

·         Stamp Pads – Night of Navy Ink (147110); Flirty Flamingo Ink (147052); Old Olive Ink (147090)

·         Misc. – Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper (DSP)  (154558); Flower & Field Designer Series Paper (155223) *This paper is a free choice with purchase in the upcoming Sale-a-Bration Brochure for 2021; Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder (153200); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Opal Rounds (154289); Wink of Stella (141897); Paper Snips (103579); Stampin’ SEAL (152813); Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755)

           

Measurements:  

·         Card Stock 1: Flirty Flamingo-       8 ½” x 5 ½” score at 4 ¼”     plus 2” x 4”

·         Card Stock 2: Very Vanilla- 2 ¼” x 1” for sentiment       3 ½” x 3” for butterflies

·         Card Stock 3: Night of Navy- approx. 3” x 2 ¼”

·         Card Stock 4: Old Olive- 3 ¼” x ½” strip

·         Fine Are Floral DSP: 4” x 3 ¼”

·         Flower and Field DSP: 4” x ¾”                 

           

Instructions:

1.    Fold card base in half and set aside.

2.    Use the Old World Paper Embossing Folder and emboss the 2” x 4” piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock. Attach the embossed piece of cardstock to the card front at the top leaving a ¼” border.

3.    Add the Fine Art Flower paper below the embossed piece leaving a ¼” border around the sides and bottom. Then, add the Flower & Field paper strip in the middle of the two over the seam.

4.    Die cut the rectangle shape from the dies using Night of Navy cardstock. Pop this piece up on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

5.    Stamp the image with the butterflies and leaves on very Vanilla cardstock in Night of Navy ink. Stamp the insides of the leaves with Old Olive ink and the butterflies using Flirty Flamingo Ink. Die cut the piece using the die and then use your paper snips to cut apart the butterflies and the leaves. You will only use one leaf and 2 of the butterflies.

6.    Stamp the sentiment on the Very Vanilla 2 ¼” x 1” piece of cardstock.

7.    Add the butterflies and leaf as shown using liquid glue.

8.    Snip the ends of the Old Olive cardstock strip at an angle using your paper snips. Then, attach it to the back of your sentiment piece. Attach them to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

9.    Finally, add 3 Opal Rounds to the card as shown.

Optional: Add Wink of Stella to the butterfly wings.

Dragonfly Garden Bundle

Good Morning Everyone!  I'm sitting here at my computer as the sun rises and it's an absolutely beautiful morning!  It rained all day yesterday so everything is clean and crisp. There's a strange light that is giving off an orange hue and it is gorgeous! I am so grateful for the beauty of mornings like this!

Today I'm showcasing the Dragonfly Garden Bundle.  Enjoy!

Dragonfly Garden

Supplies:

• Stamp Sets: Dragonfly Garden (154411)
• Cardstock: Blackberry Bliss (133675); Whisper White (not available)
• Ink: Blackberry Bliss (147092)
• Tools & Accessories: Clasic Label Punch (141491; Everyday Label Punch (144668): Label Me Fancy (151292); Dragonflies Punch (156224); Stampin' Seal (152813); Glue Dots (103683); Stampin' Dimensionals (104430)
• Designer Paper: Dandy Garden (154297)           

Measurements: 

• Blackberry Bliss - 11" x 4 1/4" scored at 5 1/2" and scrap piece
• Whisper White - 4" x 5 1/4" ; 3 3/4" x 2 1/2" and scraps
• Dandy Garden DSP - 4" x 5 1/4" (2)

Instructions:

1.    Fold the card base in half at 5-1/2” and burnish with a bone folder

2.    Adhere one layer of DSP on card front using Stampin’ Seal.

3.    Adhere the other layer of DSP inside the card using Stampin’ Seal.

4.    Use the Classic Label Punch to punch a slit into the card front by inserting from the right side of card front.

5.    Use the Everyday Label Punch to punch a label out of the Blackberry Bliss scrap of CS.

6.    Use the Label Me Lovely Punch to punch a label out of a scrap of Whisper White CS.

7.    Stamp the sentiment onto the Whisper White label in Blackberry Bliss ink.

8.    Adhere this label to the other label using Stampin’ Seal.

9.    Adhere both labels to the lower left card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

10. Stamp the dragonfly onto a scrap of Whisper White CS and punch out using the Dragonflies Punch.

11. With the card closed, adhere (just the body of) the dragonfly to the inside layer through the classic label punch hole.

12. Fold the wings up to open the card.

13. Stamp the little dragonflies onto the 3-3/4” x 2-1/2” piece of Whisper White CS using Blackberry Bliss ink.

14. Adhere this to the inside of the card on the left side.

·         Mossy Meadow Braided Line Trim: ~8”                                       

           

Instructions:

·         Score and fold 11” side of green card stock at 5-1/2” to form card base.

·         Line inside of card with white 4-1/8” x 5-3/8” panel.

·         With Mossy Meadow ink, stamp the weeds vertically on the tall white layer, and the “For a True friend” sentiment horizontally on the small white layer. Fill in the weeds and leaves with blender pens dipped in Bumblebee and Mossy Meadow ink.

·         Stamp the dragonfly in black ink on the square piece of white card stock. Color the wings with blender pens dipped in Bumblebee ink. Crop with the Dragonflies Punch.

·         Wrap the linen thread around the large Bumblebee panel, about 1” from the bottom. Tie a bow and trim the ends, arrange on the left side of the panel. Adhere the panel to the front of the card base.

·         Adhere the designer paper panel to the green layer.

·         Adhere the stamped sentiment to the green layer, and then the gold layer. Adhere all to the designer paper in the upper right corner. Add a ladybug trinket with two glue dots.

·         Layer the stamped and colored weeds on the white layer. Adhere, then position on the left side of the designer paper panel, with about half of the weeds on, and half off of the panel. Adhere to the designer paper with glue, and to the gold panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

·         Add dimensionals to the back of the cropped dragonfly to adhere it to the designer paper at the vertical middle of the card.

Corner Bouquet

Hello everyone!  Happy Wednesday!  I'm so excited to get out into my shop and play with all my new product from the NEW Mini Catalog!  There are some AMAZING things in there!  I've also got to get started on creating my 14 Days of Love projects for upcoming classes!  This is one of my FAVORITE classes!  What are you all up to?  What's on your list of things to do?

Today I'm sharing a card I created for a tutorial group that I belong to!  I created it with the Corner Bouquet stamp set which is a FREE Sale-a-Bration item!  It's so simple yet elegant!

·         Tools –  Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder (152718); Heat Tool (129053); Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (149653)

·         Misc. – Linen Thread (104199); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Stampin’ Seal (152813); White Stampin’ Emboss Powder (109132)

Measurements: 

·         Whisper White                                               8 ½” x 5 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

·         Early Espresso                                              3 7/8” x 5 1/8”

·         Sahara Sand                                                 3 ¾” x 5”

·         Scrap of Sahara Sand                                  1” x 3”

 
              

Instructions:

1.    Stamp flowers in the corner with VersaMark and heat emboss with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder onto the Sahara Sand cardstock using the Corner Bouquet stamp set.

2.    Emboss stamped image with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder and attach to the Early Espresso cardstock with Stampin’ Seal.

3.    Stamp sentiment with VersaMark onto the scrap piece of Sahara Sand cardstock and heat emboss with the White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

4.    Tie Linen Thread around sentiment and attach to stamped flower image with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

5.    Attach layered image to card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

"Make-It Monday" Tutorial

Good Morning everyone and WELCOME to today's "Make-It Monday" Tutorial!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Years celebration! December was a hard month for me.  I was down in the dumps. I did have a terrific Christmas and New Years celebrating with our kids...but there was someone missing.  I will always miss my son, Adam and I guess it will always be hard...I wasn't ready for that heartache, but God is good, He has Adam and He got me through this difficult month.  I also had lots of special friends reach out to me...showing me lot of love! THANK YOU!

I woke up this morning with renewed energy! I've been so tired, but felt so refreshed! I'm excited to see what 2021 has to bring!!

I hope you enjoy today's tutorial!  It's created with one of my FAVORITE new sets...I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!  Do you think maybe it's because my daughter works at our local ice cream shop?!

Instructions:

1.    Fold Purple Posy card base in half and score.

2.    Adhere Playing with Patterns DSP to card front.

3.    Ink phrase using Purple Posy marker and stamp onto Whisper White layer. Adhere to Night of Navy layer.

4.    Adhere Crushed Curry and Coastal Cabana strips to card front. Adhere Night of Navy layer on top.

5.    Ink ice cream cone tops using Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry and Purple Posy and stamp onto Whisper White card stock. Cut out using Paper Snips.

6.    Ink ice cream cone using Crumb Cake ink. Stamp ‘hash tag’ image on to cone using Soft Suede ink. Cut out using Paper Snips.

7.    Adhere cone to Whisper White layer. Attach ice cream layers to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
