ICS Blog Hop - Case The Holiday Catalog

Hello everyone and WELCOME to the December Inspire, Create & Share Blog Hop!  Our inspiration this month is the Holiday Catalog.  Our challenge...CASE (COPY AND SHARE EVERYTHING) a project from the Holiday Catalog.  Hop along with us and BE INSPIRED!!

I was inspired by the So Many Stars Bundle on page 10 of the Holiday Catalog!  I LOVE this bundle...it's a fantastic set!

For my first project I used the Night Before Christmas 6x6 designer paper.  I also used the Stitched Nested framelits to cut two of the same shapes, one from Crushed Curry and one from Mossy Meadow. I used the So Many Stars stamp set to heat emboss the sentiment and starry background with VersaMark and White embossing power.  The stars are cut with the Stitched Stars Dies from Vellum and Sparkle Glimmer paper.  I added some Mossy Oak Linen Thread and a Gold Jingle Bell to finish it off!

My second project (I was having FUN) is made exactly the same way only I used Neutrals 6x6 designer paper and Poppy Parade cardstock.  I changed the sentiment up, but it is from the same stamp set.  I also used Whisper White Flax Ribbon that I took apart, to tie a bow around the star and skipped the Jingle Bell.

Aren't they FUN?  I need to use my catalogs as inspiration more often!!

Magnolia Lane HELLO!

Hello and HAPPY Friday!  I hope you've had a great week! I'm thick in the heart of camping...we're going to go for a hike today, up in the Trinity Alps to an Alpine Lake!  I LOVE WHERE I LIVE!!

Today'r project is another card that we created in my June classes.  The card base is Whisper White withe a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Magnolia Lane designer paper.  The magnolia flower is cut with the Magnolia Memories Dies.  I used my bone folder to gently curl the petals.  The sentiment is from Good Morning Magnolia Cling Stamp Set.  Hello is stamped onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock with VersaMark and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.  Next it is cut out with the Timeless Punch.  The flower and the sentiment are attached with Dimensional and the flower has a Clear Faceted Gem in the middle!  

THIS PAPER IS BEAUTIFUL!!!
