"Make-It Monday" - Boho Indigo Project Medley

Hello Everyone!  I hope you are all well! Have you been getting any creating time?  I went to a paper crafting retreat with some girlfriends this past weekend and it was WONDERFUL.  It was so relaxing, full of laughter and nice and cool!  It was on the coast of Northern California and it was 40 degrees cooler over there.  I'm not a fan of over 100 degrees, so it was a PERFECT time to get a way! 

It's Monday again and I have a new "Make-It Monday" tutorial for you! I created it with the Boho Indigo Product Medley.  I LOVE everything about these products!!  I hope you ENJOY and are INSPIRED by this tutorial!!

"Make-It Monday" Boho Indigo

Supplies:

·         Stamp Sets – Boho Indigo Product Medley (153132)

·         Card Stock – Very Vanilla (101650); Night of Navy (100867); Soft Sea Foam (146988)

·         Stamp Pads – Night of Navy Classic Stamp Pad (147110)

·         Misc. – Stitched So Sweetly Dies (151690); Mango Melody Combo Pack Stampin’ Blend (147945); Tear and Tape Adhesive (138995); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (144108); Stampin’ Seal (152813); Very Vanilla Medium Envelopes (107300)

           

Measurements: 

·         Very Vanilla: 8 ½” x 5 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

           

Instructions:

1.    Using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies, cut the largest scalloped rectangle using Night of Navy cardstock. Using the same dies cut the next size down from Very Vanilla cardstock and the next size down from Boho Indigo designer series paper.

2.    Using the Boho Indigo Dies to cut vase from a contrasting piece of Boho Indigo dsp.

3.    Stamp sentiment on the bottom of the card base using Night of Navy ink.

4.    Adhere the Very Vanilla layer to the Night of Navy layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the dsp layer to the Very Vanilla layer with Stampin’ Seal adhesive.

5.    Using Tear & Tape, attach the Boho Indigo ribbon around all three layers, tying it in a knot and fraying the ends. Add it to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

6.    Cut on sprig from Soft Sea Foam cardstock using the Boho Indigo dies and attach to dsp with Stampin’ Seal adhesive.

7.    Attach vase over ribbon and sprig with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

8.    Color flowers (from the Boho Indigo Product Medley) with the dark Mango Melody Stampin’ Blend and attach at the top of the vase with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

9.    Add a scrap piece of dsp to the flap of the envelope with Stampin’ Seal adhesive, trim and mail your card!

Tuesday's Tip - Decorate that Envelope...Quick & Easy

Good Morning everyone and HAPPY Cinco de Mayo!  What are you having for dinner?  We're having street tacos, guacamole, refried beans and rice and I have SOMBREROS for everyone to wear!  I can't wait til dinner! 

Here's my Tuesday's Tip video!  It so quick an easy and I LOVE how the envelopes turn out! It really makes the cards EXTRA SPECIAL!

Here are the cards I made using the Timeless Tulips stamp set along with Bird Ballad Designer Paper.  I also used the ADORABLE Stitched So Sweetly dies for the sentiment and for the Pear Pizzazz layer behind it.  I attached it with dimensionals and added a cute little bow using Whisper White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.  I think they're so sweet and I LOVE the matching envelopes!

Tuesday's Tip - Coloring with Bleach

Well Good Morning!  I hope you are well!  Here's my latest Tuesday's Tip Video!  I hope you'll give this fun technique a try!

Here's the actual card! My base is a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  The Crushed Curry layer is cut with the Stitched So Sweetly dies (my FAVORITE).  The flowers are stamped with Crushed Curry ink using the Floral Essence stamp set and "colored" with bleach using a Blender Pen.  I colored the Pearl Basic Jewels with a Bronze Stampin' Blend Marker and attached them to the centers of the flowers.  I finished it with a three strand Linen Thread bow.

I love how the pearls turned out and the flowers look great!  It's such a FUN technique...I hope you'll give it a try!

Don't forget you'll need to stamp an extra flower to cut out so you'll have a "mask".  The mask allows you to cover your stamped image so you can stamp another flower...making it look like it's behind the first flower!  That's a pretty cool technique too!

"Make-It Monday" Label Me Bold

Hello everyone!  Happy Presidents Day!  My town's main street (which is also a highway) is lined with American Flag!  I LOVE IT!!!  Kate is off school for a week...YAY!!! It will be nice not to be on a schedule for a bit!  I'm also excited to spend some time with her!

Well..it's Monday...so here's today's "Make-It Monday"

"Make-It Monday" - Label Me Bold

·         Cardstock: Daffodil Delight (119683), Whisper White (100730)

·         Ink: StazOn Jet Black (101406), Daffodil Delight (147094)

·         Tools & Accessories: Stitched So Sweetly Dies (151690), Daffodil Delight 1/4” Ruched Ribbon (151311)

·         Designer Paper: Best Dressed 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper (151319)

·         Misc: Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (144108), Mini Glue Dots (103683),

           

Measurements: 

·         Card Base: Daffodil Delight 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, scored and folded at 4-1/4”

·         Cardstock #2: Whisper White 3” x 3”

·         Designer Paper: Best Dressed 2” x 5-1/2” and 2-1/4” x 5”

·         Ribbon: Daffodil Delight 6-1/2” and 8”    

           

Instructions:

·         Adhere shorter piece of Best Dressed DSP to longer piece, overlapping 5/8” and leaving 1/4” border showing at top and bottom.

·         With edge of 6-1/2” ribbon against the edge of the shorter DSP, wrap ends to back and adhere. Use glue dots, if necessary, to hold it in place on front.

·         Adhere DSP/ribbon to card base, leaving a small border showing on the left side.

·         Tie a bow with the remaining 8” of ribbon, trim ends, and adhere as shown with a glue dot.

·         Stamp Label Me Bold scribble image on Whisper White using Daffodil Delight ink, then die cut with second smallest scalloped rectangle die. Adhere to card with dimensionals.

·         Stamp greeting, trim down, and adhere to stitched scallop rectangle with dimensionals.

Under My Umbrella....Hello Sunshine

Hello everyone!  Happy Valentines Day and HAPPY Friday!  YAY...it's the weekend! Do you have something fun planned for this day of love...or this weekend?  My husband had to go out of town so I don't even have to cook dinner tonight!  He did leave a box of chocolates for me and treats for our daughter!  YEP...I've got a keeper!

Today I want to share one of the cards we're making in my February classes!  I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the Stitched So Sweetly dies and that is what I used for this card.  I cut graduating sizes of scalloped rectangles from Coastal Cabana, Mango Melody and Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I used my Aqua Painter to add a little Coastal Cabana ink to the Thick Whisper White cardstock and stamped the sentiment and umbrella handle in Gray Granite ink.  The umbrella itself is stamped with an acrylic block with Mango Melon ink that I spritzed with rubbing alcohol. The outline of the umbrella is stamped in Mango Melody ink using a Stamparatus.  I layered them all with dimensionals and attached them to each other then to my Whisper White card base.  I LOVE these colors together...I LOVE the simplicity of the design...I just LOVE the card!!
