Snow Front - FALL SCENE

Hello everyone!  Were you able to follow along on the Blog Hop last night?  It was a GREAT hop with lots of TERRIFIC ideas and inspiration!  I had a class last night so I've been prepping all day today for my World Card Making Day event this Saturday!  I have everything cut and ready to go...now to decide on my menu! 

First...I want to share some more inspiration with you!  !

I LOVE the Snow Front stamp set...you already know this!  I used it for class again this month but instead of a mountain scene I created a fall scene.  The 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" card base is Mint Macaron.  The stamped images is a 3" X 3" piece of Whisper White cardstock and is layered onto a 3 1/8" X 3 1/8" piece of Soft Suede cardstock. I tied a piece of Linen Thread into a bow around both pieces of cardstock and attached it to the card base with dimensionals!  

I rolled the sky with a sponge brayer and Mint Macaron ink.  The ground is brayerd wtih Pear Pizzazz ink.  The images are stamped with Old Olive, Cajun Craze, Merry Merlot and Mango Melody inks.  The sentiment is from the Painted Harvest stamp set and is stamped in Soft Suede ink.  I LOVE how this card turned out!  I can almost feel the leaves falling!  Fall is my FAVORITE season...the colors are so beautiful and this card catches that beauty!

Tuesday’s Tip - Baker’s Box Background FUN

Hello everyone!  I have a REALLY FUN Tuesday's Tip video to share with you!  Below is a sample of the box and a couple samples of other backgrounds!  I hope you'll give it a try!!!  ENJOY!!!  I FALL and CHRISTMAS boxes to share with you soon!!

This still photo shows how I decorated the box using the Sea of Texture stamp set and the Under the Sea framelits dies.  I also used the Ribbon of Courage stamp set for the sentiment and the Love What You Do stamp set for the background behind the sentiment.  

It's filled with the chocolates at the top as well as some salt water taffy, a magnet and a couple other goodies!  The tin ant the top is filled with Dead Sea Salts...for a RELAXING BATH.  I used my Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut the circle then embossed it (several at a time) with the Seaside Embossing Folder! Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon is tied into a bow around the box.  I LOVE how it turned out!

Lovely As A Tree

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are well and that my friends in Old Shasta and Redding areas are safely evacuated because of the fire!  I'm praying, and hope that you will pray also, that no lives are lost and homes can be saved...it's a terrible fire!!

I have a beautiful card to share with you today!  It was inspired by a post on a friends Facebook page. Thank you Linda for sharing this!

I LOVE the words in this as well as the colors!  It's a beautiful quote and the colors are STUNNING!  It truly inspired me to create!  I hope it will inspire you too!

I also was challenged to create a card using the Lovely As A Tree stamp set....below is my card.

My card base is Blueberry Blush with a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I also cut a 3 3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White cardstock and used my sponge brayers to create the background.  I used blueberry Blush, Pacific Point and Bermuda Bay for the top then Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry for the bottom.  The trees are stamped with Memento Black ink using the Lovely As A Tree stamp set.  Before attaching the two layers to the card base I tied a bow with a piece of White Baker's Twine around the top of the image. The sentiment is from the Hand Delivered stamp set.  Isn't it BEAUTIFUL?!

Tuesday’s Tip - Sponge Brayer Background

Hello everyone!  I'm so excited to share today's Tuesday's Tip Video with you!  I made this card for my husband...to encourage him.  He is a serious bicyclist and was going on a big bike ride with group down the mountain! He loved it and now he carries it with him everyday in his lunch pail.  I hope it inspires you too...not to cycle...but to CREATE!  ENJOY

Here are the details!  My card base is Basic Black.  The first layer is Whisper White and measures 4 1/8" X 5 3/8".  My next layer is a piece of designer paper from the Garden Impressions 6" X 6" pack, it measure 4" X 5 1/8".  I used Lovely Lipstick, Mango Melody and Crushed Curry inks and brayered the background onto a 3" X 3" piece of Whisper White cardstock, layered it onto a 3 1/8" X 3 1/8" piece of Whisper White cardstock and then onto a 3 3/8" X 3 3/8" piece of Basic Black cardstock.  The moon is punched with the 1 1/4" circle punch, then brayered.  The images are stamped with Memento Black ink and are from the Enjoy Life stamp set.  I added some Black Bakers Twine and and attached the sentiment with Linen Thread. The sentiment is from the same Enjoy Life stamp set.  I LOVE this set and can't wait to do more with it!

Rooted In Nature

Hello and how are you today? I hope all is well and life is going smoothly for you all!  It's been such a beautiful day here...but very busy.  I had a DOTK meeting to plan our next month event, I had to meet with my pastor so he could sign June's birthday and anniversary cards, I had to meet with the church secretary (and friend) about updating our church directory and I had to mow my mother-in-laws grass...but before I could do anything I HAD TO WATER MY FLOWERS!  Now...I have time to blog!  I need to get on a better schedule...somehow!

Today's card is a card that we made in my Shascade Disabled Adult class yesterday.  First, we had BIRTHDAY cake and then it was time to create!  I know I've told you a few times now that I thought I was giving something back to my community by providing this class to these folks but I have received so much more from them!  They LOVE to create!  They were SUPER excited because I had a box full of things for them to create with at the program (that's what they call their building).  I can't wait to see what they make!

This card is created with the Rooted in Nature stamp set.  I was able to pre-order it as a demonstrator...it's in the NEW CATALOG and it's a BEAUTIFUL set!  My card base is Basic Black with a Crumb Cake Layer that is embossed with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.  Next I inked up a 2 1/2" X 4" piece of Whisper White cardstock with my Sponge Brayers, Pool Party ink and Mossy Meadow ink.  I stamped the tree image in Basic Black ink.  It is layered onto a 2 5/8" X 4 1/8" piece of Whisper White cardstock and then onto a 2 3/4" X 4 1/4" piece of Basic Black cardstock.  The sentiment (from the same stamp set) is stamped in Memento Black ink onto a piece of Wood Textures designer paper that I also tied a piece of Black Bakers Twine around.  

I have to tell you this group LOVES to color and they LOVE learning all the different ways they can color!  They've used the Brayers now, Stampin' Blends, Watercolor Pencils, Stampin' Write Markers, AquaPainters and Brushos...they REALLY LOVE the Brusho's...I need to get them a set!  Next month I think I'll introduce them to the possibilities of Blender Pens!
