SIMPLE Home Decor Ideas for Christmas!

Good morning to all my crafty friends!  Thanks for checking in today and THANK YOU to all of you who took advantage of FREE SHIPPING yesterday and ordered from me!  You keep me going!  

Remember my November Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop...where I used that months kit to create framed art!  I have fallen in love with framing my art and I want to share some more of it today!

I was asked to be a designer on the Facebook page called 3-D Thursdays and this is what I created for it!  I used the Tiny Keepsakes stamp set to stamp the buffalo plaid background in Memento Black Ink.  I stamped two, trimmed them close and overlapped them so that it looks like one piece.  Next I cut a tree from Night Before Christmas 6" x 6" designer paper with the Pine Tree punch and attached it with dimensions.  I added a star cut from Sparkle Glimmer paper that I cut with the Stitched Star Framelits and attached it with dimensionals as well.  Last I attached the piece to a 5" x 7" piece of Basic Black cardstock and put it in my frame!  SUPER CUTE and SUPER EASY!!!

...but wait...

...there's more!

I created this one exactly the same way as above but added the word JOY! I cut the JOY with the Hand Lettered Prose Dies from Basic Black cardstock and attached it with Multipurpose Glue.  This time I tried it in a black frame!  SO FUN!!

Ok...ok...ONE MORE!!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS ONE!!!  I cut a piece a Basic Black cardstock to fit my frame opening which is 3 1/2" x 5".  Using the Snow Front stamp set, I stamped the trees in VersaMark and heat embossed them using white embossing powder.  I was able to center them and make sure they were straight using my grid paper.  You can also use your Stamparatus to get them in the perfect spot. This would make really cute cards, but I love it as framed art as well!

12 Weeks of Stampin' Up! Christmas - Christmas Countdown....Week Four

Hello Everyone!  Thank you for joining me for this weeks 12 Weeks of Stampin' Up! Christmas project!  Have you made your advent calendar yet?  Here's a SUPER CUTE one!

Christmas Countdown

Supplies:

·         Christmas Countdown Project Kit (150703)

·         Cardstock – Real Red (102482) Garden Green (102584)

·         Designer Paper – Toile Tiding (150432)

·         Tools – 1 1/8” Scallop Circle Punch (146138); Pine Tree Punch (149521); 1” Circle Punch (119868) Subtle Embossing Folder (151775)

·         Embellishments – Linen Thread (104199); Real Red 1” Ruched Ribbon (150435): Jingle Bells (149598)

·         Misc -  Multipurpose Glue (110755); Snail Adhesive (104332); Dimensionals (104430); Take Your Pick (144107) or small hole punch; Tear & Tape Adhesive (138995)

Measurements:  

·         Designer Paper:  1 7/8” x 1 7/8”  (Cut 25 - one for each box)

·         Designer Paper:  1 7/8” x 10 7/8” (Cut 4 – one for each side)

·         Designer Paper:  10 7/8” x 10 7/8” (Cut  1 – for back)                                 

Instructions:

1.    Using one of the squares provided in the kit as a guide, use your 1” Circle Punch to punch a tab in all 25 of your 1 7/8” pieces of Toile Tiding designer paper.

2.    Using Multipurpose Glue attach each square to each individual box, aligning with tab.

3.    Using Multipurpose Glue attach 1 7/8” x 10 7/8” designer paper strips to sides and 10 7/8” x 10 7/8” square designer paper to back of the project box.

4.    Punch 25 scallop circles from Real Red cardstock and attach numbers provided in the kit with snail adhesive.

5.    Poke holes in the top of each number with Take Your Pick tool or small hole punch and tie a Jingle Bell to each one with Linen Thread.

6.    Punch one Pine Tree from Garden Green cardstock embossing it with the Subtle Embossing Folder and attach it to the last box with dimensionals

7.    Attach numbers to individual small boxes with dimensionals.

8.    Wrap Tear & Tape around all four sides of the box and attach Real Red Ruched Ribbon tying a bow at the top. Use several strands of Linen Thread to tie a bow around the Real Red bow.

9.    Fill each box with a treat and HAVE FUN counting down to Christmas day!

Perfectly Plaid Christmas

Hello there crafty friends!  I hope you've had a WONDERFUL day!  I spent the morning with dear friends this morning!  I am so very blessed!  I really need to take the time to do that more often...relationships are so very important!

Hey...I have a pretty Christmas card to share with you today!  Do you know that it's only three months away?!?!?

This card has a 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" Night of Navy base.  The first layer is a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock.  Next is a 3 3/4" X 5" piece of Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Paper.  It is GORGEOUS paper!

I used the Perfectly Plaid stamp set to stamp the sentiment onto a Stitched Shape Oval with Night of Navy ink.  I also used it to heat emboss the tree with VersaMark and Copper Embossing Powder.  The tree is cut out with the Pine Tree punch.  Both the sentiment and the tree are attached with dimensionals, but before adding them to the card I added some 3/8" Denim Ribbon!  Isn't it a great card? It's SIMPLE too!

Very Vanilla cardstock cut 2" x 4" punched with Scalloped Tag Topper punch and embossed with the Subtle embossing folder.
