14 Days of Love - Pillow Box

Hello everyone! I have a class in about an hour...it's my Shascade class! We're gonna make Valentine Treats!  Here's my latest 14 Days of Love videos!  Only four more to go after this one!

Isn't it a cute box!  The belly band is a 2" X 8" piece of All My Love designer paper.  The hearts are cut with the Be Mine framelits and the banners are hand cut with scrap cardstock.  I used the Subtle embossing folder to emboss the Crumb Cake banner.  The sentiment is from the Petal Palette stamp set and of course I used a Stampin' Up! pillow box! I LOVE it and hope you do too!

FUN fold and Swirly Bird

Hello Everyone!  Well, my adult sons, Trevor and Seth (and their three dogs) have both left and I miss them already!  I LOVE it when my kids come home!!  It's always great to see them!  My husband is outside painting the new porch in front of my workshop...or I think I might start calling it my STUDIO...is that too pretentious?  We had a bathroom built (still waiting on septic to be installed), but we also put a CUTE front porch that I absolutely love! Adam and Kate are off doing their own things so I'm finally gonna blog!

Here's a FUN fold card that I made a while back!  My card base is Melon Mambo with a 4 1/8" X 5 3/8" piece of Whisper White cardstock as the base mat. Next I took a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Garden Impressions designer paper and cut about two inches in at the middle of the long side of the paper.  Next I scored it from the right top and bottom corners back to the end of the cut and folded the dsp back exposing the Whisper White cardstock.  I used the Swirly Bird stamp set to stamp the circular images o(they look like flowers to me) in Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight onto a Stitched Shapes circle. The sentiment is from the Petal Palette stamp set and is stamped in Melon Mambo Ink.  I also used the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits to cut a large circle under the stamped images and a small circle scribble on top...both in Daffodil Delight.  You can just barely see that I also added a Tinted Faceted Button on top of the small circle scribble!  I love the fold...it can be FUN and FESTIVE like in this card, but it can also be VERY ELEGANT with softer more muted colors!  I hope you'll give it a try!  If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask!

Thoughts of You...

Hello my paper crafting friends!  GOSH...it's raining cats and dogs here today!  I was only expecting shower...it's in the low 60's, CHILLY, but it's gonna be in the 90's on Monday!  Gotta LOVE the 30 degree weather change in three days!  How is it in your neck of the woods?  I hope you all have FUN family and friend plans for the weekend.  Our home group is BBQ'ing on Monday but the rest o the weekend is just RELAXING and hopefully CREATING!

Today's card is simple and clean with a POP of color!  I LOVE that Stampin' UP! has brought back Coastal Cabana...it's a great color and couples beautifully with the Calypso Coral in this card.  I haven't used my Polka Dots embossing folder in a while so I dusted it off and used it to create the background of this card. The sentiment, which is from the Best Birds stamp set is stamped on Wood Texture designer paper that I cut into a circle with the Stitched Shapes framelits!  I LOVE stamping on this designer paper.  The lovely flowers are from the Petal Palette stamp set and cut out with Petals and More framelits.  I finished it off with some ribbon and linen thread. This is one that I took to Olson's Stoneware in town...I hope it sells!

"Make-It Monday" Petal Palette with Petal Garden Card Pack

Good morning everyone.  I hope you all had a WONDERFUL weekend and are off to a great start for your week! I'm on the run as usual...I have to finish cutting some things for my Wednesday class and my husband is home for the week to get chores done while it's cool and safe...we're burning today!  But I quickly want to share today's "Make-It Monday"!

Supplies: 
•    Petal Palette (wood-mount:145785, clear-mount:145788)
•    Stamp Pads: Fresh Fig (144082)
•    Paper: Old Olive (100702), Thick Whisper White Cardstock (140272)
•    Miscellaneous: SNAIL Adhesive (104330), Fresh Fig ½” Finely Woven Ribbon (144132), Pearl Basic Jewels (144219), Petal Garden Card Pack (144208)

Measurements:
•   Card base: Thick Whisper White 5 ½” x 8 ½
•    Old Olive: 5 ¼” x 4”
•    Memories & More card: 5” x 3 ¾”
•    Fresh Fig Ribbon:  10”

Instructions:
1.    Fold Whisper White cardstock in half for card base
2.    Adhere Memories & More card to Old Olive cardstock.
3.    Wrap ribbon around bottom of card and tie a knot.
4.    Attach card unit from step #3 to card base.
5.    Using Fresh Fig ink stamp sentiment onto top of card.
6.    Attach 3 small pearl jewels below stamped sentiment.

This is a LOVELY and VERY SIMPLE card to put together!  You can make GOBS of cards out of the card packs...in fact...that sounds like a FUN class!

Facebook Hop - Colorful Spring

Hello and Happy Saturday! I'm hoping you have something FUN planned for the weekend!  I'm meeting with my tax man to get our taxes completed! I'm also going to Rust and Roses...a really COOL venue with beautiful TREASURES to discover! A girlfriend of mine has a booth there and I can't wait to see what goodies I can find! It's a BEAUTIFUL rainy day...is there a better way to spend it then visiting a friend?

Today, at 5pm is a Facebook Hop!  I hope you'll check it out!  The theme for the hop is Colorful Spring and here is the card that I will be sharing!  ENJOY!

My card base is Whisper White and my first layer is Pool Party.  Next I used the Scattered Sequins embossing folder to emboss a layer of Whisper White cardstock.  I used my Old Olive, Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Markers to color my Petal Palette stamp. Next I cut my floral image out with the Petals & More dies. Before adhering the flowers to the card with dimensionals, I used my Stampin' Blend markers to color in the flowers.  I used these colors...Light Daffodil Delight, Dark Pool Party, Light Calypso Coral and Light Old Olive.  I also added a piece of Whisper White Organza Ribbon (OH HOW I LOVE THIS RIBBON!) and some Tutti-Frutti Sequins with a Pearl Basic Jewel in the middle! I just LOVE how this card turned out! It's clean and simple but also colorful and cheery!  I hope you like it to!

Whole Lot of Lovely

Good morning everyone! Blessings to you all this Good Friday! I heading down the mountain this morning to deliver my orders and to get what I need for Easter Sunday's dinner, but first I want to share a card that I just received from my upline, Sarah Wills!

I love how she cut the fruit out of the Whole Lot of Lovely designer paper! This is BEAUTIFUL paper and what a fun way to use it! I also LOVE how she accented with pumpkin pie cardstock and ink...it really makes the card pop. 

Also striking on this card is how Sarah embossed the first layer of cardstock with the Layered Leaves embossing folder and then attached it to the card base (which is the same color) with dimensionals! That doily at the bottom and thread tied around the fruit stem finishes the card off perfectly!  

I also received a few gifts but I wanted to share this one because I think adding a band around a pack of Basic Rhinestone Jewels is a FUN idea!  She added a note card that is just beautiful that she created with the Petal Palette bundle....I am loving this bundle more and more and really hope that it carries over!!

Petal Pallete fun!!

Good Morning everyone! What's going on in your neck of the woods? Hope all is well! It's another BEAUTIFUL day here today! Yesterday was beautiful too, but I spent it catching up on The Voice and When Calls the Heart....AND staying close to the bathroom if you know what I mean! I had to reschedule my Shascade class and I missed my son's double header baseball games.  Thankfully he plays again on Friday (which is weird because it's Good Friday) and it's suppose to be sunny and 78 degrees.  As much as I LOVE my jeans and a sweatshirt attire, it will be fun to get the capris out...hope they still fit!!

I joined a couple of swaps this month and I have them all together now so I wanted to share with you the cards that I made!  One swap was a Spring card theme and one was Masculine card them.  Today, I'd like to share my spring card!

This lovely card has a Berry Burst base.  The Whisper White layer is embossed using the Scattered Sequins embossing folder (mine is tricky to use because it is broken and I forgot to order a new one).  The black and white designer paper band is from the Tutti-Frutti 6" X 6" paper pack.  Next I stamped the flowers with the Petal Pallette stamp set using Memento Black ink and colored them using my Stampin' Blend markers.  I cut the flowers and the sprig of leaves out with the Petals and More thinlit dies. I glued the leaves to the band and attached the flowers with dimensionals.  Last I added a few Glitter Enamel Dots to make it sparkle just a bit!  I really LOVE how it turned out and hope it inspires you!
