Facebook Hop - Colorful Spring

Hello and Happy Saturday! I'm hoping you have something FUN planned for the weekend!  I'm meeting with my tax man to get our taxes completed! I'm also going to Rust and Roses...a really COOL venue with beautiful TREASURES to discover! A girlfriend of mine has a booth there and I can't wait to see what goodies I can find! It's a BEAUTIFUL rainy day...is there a better way to spend it then visiting a friend?

Today, at 5pm is a Facebook Hop!  I hope you'll check it out!  The theme for the hop is Colorful Spring and here is the card that I will be sharing!  ENJOY!

My card base is Whisper White and my first layer is Pool Party.  Next I used the Scattered Sequins embossing folder to emboss a layer of Whisper White cardstock.  I used my Old Olive, Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Markers to color my Petal Palette stamp. Next I cut my floral image out with the Petals & More dies. Before adhering the flowers to the card with dimensionals, I used my Stampin' Blend markers to color in the flowers.  I used these colors...Light Daffodil Delight, Dark Pool Party, Light Calypso Coral and Light Old Olive.  I also added a piece of Whisper White Organza Ribbon (OH HOW I LOVE THIS RIBBON!) and some Tutti-Frutti Sequins with a Pearl Basic Jewel in the middle! I just LOVE how this card turned out! It's clean and simple but also colorful and cheery!  I hope you like it to!

Tuesday’s Tip - Adding Color to Ribbon

Hey there everyone!  How are things going?  Have you had much time to create lately?  I've had a bunch of time but haven't gotten out to my workshop!  CRAZY...I've been in a weird space this past week and just wanted to stay in the house and nap!  Maybe I've been fighting something off...but really I think it's menapause!  I haven't been sleeping well and those dang hot flashes are back!  I know HATE is a strong word, but I HATE HOT FLASHES!!! I was trying this Cal/Mag/Zinc drink to help with sleeping, but it was making me feel croggy in the mornings.  My daughter gave it to me and told me to just drink half instead...so I guess we'll see!  The last two nights I haven't used anything and I've slept really good and feel like my old self again...so today I'm back in my workshop and I made a Tuesday's Tip video! ENJOY!!

Lots of Lavender = Wisteria

Good morning everyone! I'm just hanging out this morning waiting to go to a doctors appointment with my mother-in-law. She fell and broke her shoulder before Christmas and her physical therapist wants her to see a specialist. It's her right shoulder and she's right handed and she can't even lift her arm high enough to do her hair. We're praying she will get more mobility, but not sure.  I makes me appreciate my arms...I often think what would I do if I couldn't create? I would miss it terribly. I'm grateful for my health!

Today I want to share my favorite card from my March classes with you! I hope you LOVE it as much as I do!

I really LOVE this card!  It's made with the Lots of Lavender stamp set that you can get FREE with a $50 purchase (before tax and shipping) during SU's Sale-A-Bration event!  Sadly it ends March 31st so don't miss out! My card base is Elegant Eggplant with the first layer a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Old Olive cardstock.  My images are stamped onto a piece of 3 3/4" X 5" piece of Whisper White cardstock. I first inked the outline stamp of the  lavender (which I turned into wisteria) in Elegant Eggplant (not black) then I used the filler stamps (two-step stamping) to fill in the petals in Wisteria Wonder and the leaves in Old Olive.  The sentiment is from the Perennial Birthday stamp set.  I tied a bow with Whisper White 1/4" Organza Ribbon. Next I tied a Petal Passion metal leaf embellishment around the white bow with a piece of Linen Thread. I'm sure you can tell I love that look because I use it often!  Don't forget to add a little "wisteria" to the inside of your card and to your envelop! Isn't it lovely?!
