August ICS Blog Hop - Beautiful Bundles

Hello Everyone and WELCOME to the August ICS (Inspire, Create & Share) Blog Hop!  Our theme this month is Beautiful Bundles. I have a class in half an hour so I won't get to enjoy all of the beautiful creations until later this evening, but I hope you'll join the hop and BE INSPIRED!!

My card is created with the To A Wild Rose Bundle. You can find it on page 141 of the Annual Catalog.  My 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" card base is Gray Granite ( with a 4 1/8" X 5 3/8" piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock as it's first layer.  I embossed a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock with the Subtle embossing folder as my top layer.  All of the pieces are cut with the Wild Rose dies except for the partial circle which is from the Stitched Shapes framelit dies.  The colors I used are Gray Granite, Flirty Flamingo and Pear Pizzazz!  Oh...I also added some Pearl Basic Jewels and a Designer Element to the center of the flowers!  I LOVE this bundle...it truly is BEAUTIFUL!

ICS Blog Hop - Dads, Grads, Brides and Babies

Hello there Stampin' Friends!  Welcome to May's Inspire, Create & Share Blog Hop! I hope you'll hop with us, finding lots of INSPIRATION along the way!  This months theme is Dads, Grads, Brides and Babies.  I have a friend who needed a card so I chose Brides!  

My card has a 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" Whisper White card base. One of the brides colors is burgundy and I wanted to incorporate it into my card very faintly, so for my first layer I added a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Merry Merlot cardstock.  Next is a 3 7/8" X 5 1/8" piece of Whisper White cardstock that is embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder (this is a MUST HAVE embossing folder if you don't already have it).  The sentiment is from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set and is stamped in Gray Granite Ink onto a stitched oval from the Stitched Shapes framelits.  I added some details from the Flourish Thinlits (also in Whisper White) with dimensionals.  Last, I added Pearl Basic Jewels and a bow that I tied with Whisper White Flax Ribbon which I had taken apart into threads. I LOVE it...and hope you do too!

"Make-It Monday" Serene Garden

Hello everyone!  I hope you had a TERRIFIC weekend filled with lots of love, laughter, friends and family!  It was the perfect weekend here to BBQ, play in my flower garden and see my daughter ride the barrels on her horse, Shyanne.  We got her about a year ago after her lesson horse had to be put down.  Her teacher had given her Juliet so she could live out the rest of her days with someone who truly loved her!  Kate hadn't ran the barrels at a real arena on Shyanne before...it was a great day!

It's time for "Make-It Monday"....ENJOY and BE INSPIRED!

Supplies:

• Stamp Sets – Serene Garden Bundle (148395); Love What You Do (148042)
• Card Stock – Whisper White (100730); Basic Black (121045)
• Stamp Pads – Tuxedo Black Memento (132708)
• Miscellaneous – Calypso Coral Blends Light (144042); Calypso Coral Blends Dark (144044); Old Olive Blends Light (144574); Old Olive Blend Dark (144573); Stampin' Dimensionals (104430 $4.00); Basic Rhinestones (144220)

      
Measurements:  

• Basic Black: 8 ½ ” x 5 ½ ”          
• Whisper White : 3 ¼ ” x 4 ½ ”
• Whisper White: 2” x 2”   scrap for Butterfly   

      
Instructions:

1. Stamp the image onto the large white mat making sure to leave a border on the bottom and side.
2. Color image with Old Olive Blends (Light and Dark), and Calypso Coral (Light and Dark)
3. Stamp butterfly onto scrap of white and color using the same colors. Cut out on Big Shot using the die for the butterfly and attach with a Dimensional and decorate with a single rhinestone
4. Stamp the greeting in Black Memento in the top right corner.
5. Attach stamped mat to the card base using Dimensionals.

Remember, you do not have to invent the wheel to be creative, just copy this project! Did you make it with your own hands? Then you have created!

Wedding Wishes

Hello everyone!  Gosh, I'm late today!  It's been a busy day! I hope your day has been wonderful!!! Do you ever find yourself saying...if I can just get through this day, this project, this week...life will slow down and life will be simpler?  I find myself saying that all the time...but it never happens.  I often wonder if it will when the last of my kids graduate and go on to college or trade schools.  I wonder if I will just have a new kind of busy?  I think that just might be the case because I like to be busy but I also enjoy a little down time!  Last night I had some of that down time and I watched The Last Ride with my daughter.  What a great love story...not quite as good as The Notebook (my FAVORITE), but it was really good.  We giggled and we cried...and I did have to fast forward through a couple of scenes, but it was a nice relaxing and enjoyable evening! I hope you find a little bit of that down time too...time to refresh your body, mind and spirit! I really think it's a necessity!

Today I took some cards that I made into a local store...Olson's Stoneware.  It's a super fun store with all kinds of groovy things...I love to go in and just look!  Well...they are gonna sell my cards in there and I am SUPER excited!  I took an assortment of cards in, birthday, thinking of you, Father's Day, graduation, wedding...17 in all.  I'd like to share one of the cards I created this morning to take in!

This lovely wedding card has a Whisper White card base.  The first layer is Smoky Slate and measures 4 1/8" X 5 3/8".  The next layer is Thick Whisper White cardstock measuring 4" X 5 1/4" and is embossed with the floral Petal Pair embossing folders.  I wrapped a piece of Whisper White ribbon (tying a bow) around both of the layered pieces and adhered it to my cardbase with dimensionals. Next I cut a circle in Whisper White using my Stitched Shapes framelits and stamped the sentiment with the Floral Phrases stamp set.  Last I added three sets of flowers from the Bouquet Bunch framelits and added some Pearl Basic Jewels!  Didn't it turn out pretty?

I forgot to take a picture of the inside, but it says "May your love grow stronger, deeper, and more beautiful with every passing year"...also from the Floral Phrases stamp set!

You Move Me

Good Morning! I'm up early this morning because I have a class down in Redding and I have a SPECIAL treat for them....Kate Bake's Cupcakes!  Yep, Kate made Snickerdoodle cupcakes, S'mores cupcakes and Chocolate Peanut Butter cupcakes for me to take!  She's making the frosting as I type...what an AWESOME young lady I have! I'm playing hooky from spin class...but I wanted to be here in case she needed me...lol...she's totally got it handled, but it felt weird to go to do something fun while she was home working!

I hope you have a wonderful day today! I want to share one of the cards we'll be making in class today! ENJOY!!

In honor of SPRINGTIME, here's a card that is made with the  Sweet Soiree designer paper!  The card base is Berry Burst with a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of the designer paper on top. I used the You Move Me Bundle to cut the butterflies and for the sentiment. The sentiment is stamped in Memento Black ink onto a Whisper White circle cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  I added Pearl Basic Jewels to the small butterfly and a Clear Faceted Gem to the large butterfly.  I LOVE this designer paper...it really can stand alone with just a sentiment, which makes for a really quick and beautiful card!
