"Make-It Monday" - Serene Garden

Good Morning everyone! Did you have a great weekend?  Did you do any creating?  I was able to get caught up on some things! Having the flu and then my back going out really put me behind on things! Today I'm have a few of my downline over to make cards to donate to a Hospitality House for a Cancer Treatment Center!  I'm excited to be getting together and creating!

It' Monday....and you know what that means!

Isn't this so elegant and classy? Swap out the "sent with love" and make it a thank you or a birthday or a thinking of you card. Change the color to any you prefer. One template = so many options.

Supplies:

• Stamp Sets – Serene Garden Bundle (148395); Itty Bitty Greetings (146664W or 146667C)
• Card Stock – Mint Macaron (138337); Whisper White (100730); Petal Pink (146985)
• Stamp Pads – Gray Granite (147118); Mint Macaron (147106); Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack (147283)
• Miscellaneous – Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (143263); Cookie Cutter Builder Punch (140396); Classic Label Punch (141491); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (144108)

        
Measurements: 

• Mint Macaron: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”
• Whisper White: scraps
• Petal Pink: scrap    

        
Instructions:

1. Ink long stem image with Mint Macaron and stamp five times in the bottom right corner of the card base, reinking each time.
2. Ink the dove in Gray Granite and color with the Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends, add to card with Dimensionals.  
3. Crop a heart from Petal Pink using the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch, add to the card where shown.
4. Stamp sentiment in Gray Granite on a scrap of Whisper White and crop to the left edge with the Classic Label Punch, add to the card with Mini Dimensionals.

Tuesday's Tip - Serene Garden Stampining

Hello everyone! Hope your day is going smoothly!  It's smoky here but no threat of fire today...lots of helicopters flying, but the wind is in our favor!  That is a relief!  I might even unpack!

Today's video is of a card that we are making in my August classes!  The Serene Garden stamp set is just lovely!  I hope you enjoy the video and find time to give it a try!  Below are the measurements you'll need!

Here is the actual card as a still photo. If you click on it you can see more details!  The flowers are colored with the Light and Dark Lovely Lipstick Stampin' Blend Markers, the leaves are colored with the Light and Dark Old Olive Stampin' Blend Markers and the Butterfly is colored with the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blend Markers.  

The card base is Whisper White and measures 5 1/2" X 8 1/2".  The Basic Black mat is 3 7/8" X 5 1/8".  The Whisper White stamped card front is 3 3/4" X 5".  The oval is cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Butterfly is cut with the Garden Scene Framelits which is part of the Serene Garden Bundle.


Below are examples of the same card fronts in different colors and for different card openings!  I LOVE the flowers colored with the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blend Markers!

"Make-It Monday" Serene Garden

Hello everyone!  I hope you had a TERRIFIC weekend filled with lots of love, laughter, friends and family!  It was the perfect weekend here to BBQ, play in my flower garden and see my daughter ride the barrels on her horse, Shyanne.  We got her about a year ago after her lesson horse had to be put down.  Her teacher had given her Juliet so she could live out the rest of her days with someone who truly loved her!  Kate hadn't ran the barrels at a real arena on Shyanne before...it was a great day!

It's time for "Make-It Monday"....ENJOY and BE INSPIRED!

• Stamp Pads – Tuxedo Black Memento (132708)
• Miscellaneous – Calypso Coral Blends Light (144042); Calypso Coral Blends Dark (144044); Old Olive Blends Light (144574); Old Olive Blend Dark (144573); Stampin' Dimensionals (104430 $4.00); Basic Rhinestones (144220)

      
Measurements:  

• Basic Black: 8 ½ ” x 5 ½ ”          
• Whisper White : 3 ¼ ” x 4 ½ ”
• Whisper White: 2” x 2”   scrap for Butterfly   

      
Instructions:

1. Stamp the image onto the large white mat making sure to leave a border on the bottom and side.
2. Color image with Old Olive Blends (Light and Dark), and Calypso Coral (Light and Dark)
3. Stamp butterfly onto scrap of white and color using the same colors. Cut out on Big Shot using the die for the butterfly and attach with a Dimensional and decorate with a single rhinestone
4. Stamp the greeting in Black Memento in the top right corner.
5. Attach stamped mat to the card base using Dimensionals.

Remember, you do not have to invent the wheel to be creative, just copy this project! Did you make it with your own hands? Then you have created!
