Scrapbooking with Frosted Floral and Share What You Love Designer Paper

Hello there and how are you all today?  I'm grateful today for blue skies and good girlfriends!  What a BEAUTIFUL DAY!  A couple of friends drove up the mountain...sat in two road work stops... a ONE HOUR and FORTY minute drive (which normally takes less than an hour)...just to spend a four or five hours visiting and creating with me!  I am SOOOO BLESSED!!  I feel rejuvenated! Thanks for pouring encouragement and energy back into me today ladies!!

I've been wanting to share a scrapbook page I made a couple of weeks ago...and what better time to share than now!

This is my youngest daughter, Kate.  She LOVED to play dress up!  She was ALWAYS hot too...so it didn't bother her at all to go out in the snow in her ballerina outfit!  Don't those snow boots go well with the outfit?

The backdrop of this page is from the Frosted Floral designer paper pack.  This paper is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!  Next  cut some scrap strips from Share What You Love dsp, Basic Black cardstock and Gray Granite.  I cut them into banners and adhered them to the 12 X 12 piece of Frosted Floral dsp.  The photo is mounted on a piece of Whisper White cardstock with a Granite Gray and a Basic Black Mat!  I used the Blizzard Thinlit dies to cut several snowflakes from the new Sparkle Glimmer paper and attached them with dimensionals!  I LOVE how it turned out!  It's simple and doesn't take away from the photo, which is the most important part of scrapbooking!

Dashing Deer in Winter Woods

Hello everyone!  HAPPY WEDNESDAY!  I have a class tonight that I need to finish getting ready for but I have a fun card to share with you today!  I hope it gets your MOJO going!!

Do you remember my Starry Night card, inspired by Van Gogh?  Well..this card's background is created the same way! My background is a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Night of Navy cardstock.  I used my Touches Texture stamp set to SWIRL White Craft ink onto the cardstock then added some Wink of Stella for glimmer and shine!  The trees are cut with the NEW In The Woods Framelits (Winter Woods Bundle) from Whisper white cardstock and glued to the Night of Navy background with Multipurpose Glue.  I hand cut the snow from Sparkle Glimmer paper.  The deer is cut with the NEW Detailed Deer Thinlet Dies (Dashing Deer Bundle), using Silver Foil paper.  I added part of an Iridescent Boxwood Wreath (also NEW) around the neck of the deer and a few rhinestones to the sky to finish off the card!  I LOVE it and hope you do too!

Layering Alphabet Anniversary Card!

Good Morning everyone!  Hope you are all well!  Sunday was my 29th wedding anniversary...and I forgot!  My mind was elsewhere with the fire and power outages! My husband had to go to work early because of a power outage due to the fire and I got up with him but I NEVER thought to say HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
A couple hours later I realized what had happened so I texted him...he immediately texted me back and said..."Go look by the popcorn machine, I have something for you but forgot to put it out".  I went downstairs to find some beautiful wildflowers he had gotten for me!  So I promptly went outside to make an anniversary card!

I've really been wanting to use the Layering Alphabet Framelits and here is what I created!  I used Sparkle Glimmer Paper along with Basic Gray and Smoky Slate cardstock. I also used Cherry Cobbler 1/4" Double Stitched Ribbon...because of the x's...XOXO!!!  The heart is from the Corrugated Elements embellishments.  I also used Linen Thread, Pearl Basic Jewels and Iridescent Sequins to finish it off!  The safety pin is from Kohl's Department Store!  I save them!!
