I chose to use the Kerchief Card Kit. This kit makes eight cards and comes with four each of two designs of printed card bases & envelopes; diecuts. gold foil and vellum accents, twine and printed sentiments. Here's what the cards look like put together the way the kit suggests!
When I saw the kit I thought country and frames! I can't wait to play with them some more, but LOVE what I came up with for tonight's hop! I hope you're inspired to choose this kit as a FREE item during SALE-A-BRATION!!
I cut the center out of the card base with my Stitched Rectangle Dies. I cut a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamped it in Night of Navy Ink with the Buffalo Plaid background stamp. I attached it to the inside of the card (under the framed front) with dimensionals. I think this look is SOOOOO COUNTRY! Next I used the Painted Poppies stamp set to stamp the sentiment onto the Night of Navy oval that is in the kit. I heat embossed it with VersaMark and White Embossing Powder. I added the flower and the foil leaves from the kit and tied a piece of Night of Navy Twine (from the Country Club Twine Combo Pack) around the frame, fraying the ends. I also tied a bow around the frame with the twine that comes in the kit!
I created this card with the piece that I cut from the center of the card base. It's super simple. Just add a tree cut with the Majestic Mountain dies and glue it to the center piece and adhere it to a Whisper White card base. My tree is cut from Shaded Spruce cardstock. Next, cut a frame from Night of Navy cardstock with the Stitched Rectangle dies and attach it over the tree image on the card base with dimensionals. Add a sentiment...mine is from the Label Me Bold stamp set and is stamped in Shaded Spruce and cut out with the Classic Label Punch. Again, I added some twine that was in the kit, tying it into a knot and fraying the ends. It's a GREAT masculine birthday card!
Now hop on over to Deb's blog to see how she used the Golden Honey Specialty Designer Paper! You'll be happy you did!
