Good morning everyone! Man...I'm having a hard time waking up this morning...I simply did not get enough sleep last night! I even skipped spin class! My hubby is heading back to work today...back into the fire area...I'm confident he will be okay! I'm heading into work this morning too! I'm subbing for my friend. She lost her home in our fire, but they have found a place to stay and she's getting new furniture delivered today! I'm SUPER happy for her...it's good to have a little joy in the midst of this tragedy...even a new dinner table! We were talking yesterday and we really do take small things (link a dinner table) for granted! We have so much to be thankful for!
Before I leave, I'd like to share a card I made the other day! I'm thinking of using it for my upcoming workshop. I hope you like it!
My card base is Whisper White with a 4 1/8" X 5 3/8" piece of Basic Black cardstock matted on top. Next I added a piece of 4" X 5 1/4" piece ofr Color Theory Designer paper. I used my Eclectic Layers thinlits to cut the design in a piece of Whisper White cardstock. I created the sunflower using the Eastern Medallions thinlits by cutting two flowers, inking the edges with Early Espresso ink and layering them together. The center is cut with my 2" circle punch and embossed with the Sweetheart Textured embossing folder. The leaves were also cut with the Eclectic Layers thinlits and I added Touches of Nature wooden element, finishing it of with some Linen Thread!
I'm so happy to be creating again! Thanks so much for stopping by today and following my blog! Have a FANTASTIC day! Find just one thing that brings JOY to your day!
