Another Whimsical Trees Tutorial!

Hello there all my crafty friends!  Thank you for following my blog!  I love sharing what I love to do!  I have an update on our fire situation and another Whimsical Tree tutorial to share with you!  

We were able to get our daughter, her horse and a friends horse down to Redding last night.  They are all staying at my son's house.  Today, we were given an evacuation warning.  This is a BE READY warning.  We have our to go bags packed, photos and all the fun ceramic treasures my kids have made me.  I also packed some crafts (some Paper Pumpkins and card kits)! One of my dear customers had told me she wished she had crafts when she had to evacuate during the Carr Fire.  We will leave as soon as the order comes out!  THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS!!

·         Stamp Sets – Whimsical Trees (156330); Bundle ( 156810) or Suite (156276)

·         Cardstock –  Basic White Thick (159229); Mint Macaron (138337)

·         Designer Paper – Whimsy & Wonder 12 x 12 (156329); Vellum (101856)

·         Stamp Pads – Polished Pink (155712)

·         Misc. – Christmas Tree Dies (156339); Bundle (156810) or Suite (156276); Wonderful Snowflakes (156340); Stitched So Sweetly Dies (151690); 2021-2023 In Color Jewels (155571); Multipurpose Glue (110755); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (144108); Stampin’ Seal (152813); Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (149653)

           

Measurements: 

·         Basic White Thick :  8 ½ x 5 ½” and 2” x 3” scrap for sentiment.

·         Mint Macaron: 3 7/8” x 5 1/8” and scraps to cut tree.

·         Whimsy & Wonder DSP: 3 ¾” x 5” and scraps to cut trees.     

           

Instructions:

·         Attach Mint Macaron cardstock to Basic White cardstock with Stampin’ Seal. 

·         Attach Whimsy & Wonder dsp to Mint Macaron cardstock with Stampin’ Seal.

·         Cut trees & decorations for trees with the Whimsy & Wonder dsp, Mint Macaron cardstock and vellum and attach to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

·         Stamp sentiment onto scrap piece of Thick Basic White cardstock and cut out with a scalloped stitched rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

·         Attach sentiment over trees with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the right side and Multipurpose Glue on the left side (so it is level)

·         Attach a large Wonderful Snowflake to card with a Stampin’ Dimensional over the trees and the sentiment.

·         Cut smaller snowflakes from the Wonderful Snowflakes and attach with Multipurpose Glue on top of and under sentiment.

·         Attach 2021-2023 In Color Jewels to centers of snowflakes and to sentiment.

"Make-It Monday" - Whimsical Trees

Hello everyone!  How's everyone doing?  How was your weekend?  We're still dealing with smoke and fires but hanging in there!  We have four evacuee's at our house from 9 to 80.  It's kinda fun having so many around the dinner table...but sad that they have to evacuate.  We celebrated a birthday last night with homemade ice cream and strawberry cake!  It was fun!

Here's a BEAUTIFUL card using the Whimsical Trees Bundle!  I LOVE this bundle!  I'd love to hear what you think!

Whimsical Trees

Supplies:

·         Stamp Sets – Whimsical Trees Bundle (156810)

·         Card Stock – Thick Basic White (159229); Basic White (159276); Mint Macaron (138337)

·         Stamp Pads – Mint Macaron (147106)

·         Misc. – Whimsey and Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) (156329); Soft Succulent 3/8” Open Weave Ribbon (155780); Christmas Tree Dies (156339); Snowy White Velvet Sheets (156405); Merry Melody 2D Embossing Folder (156392); Rhinestones Basic Jewels (144220); Dimensionals (104430 $4.00); Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755); Tear & Tape (154031); Mini Glue Dots (103683)

           

Measurements:  

·         Thick Basic White:   4 ¼” x 11”

·         Basic White:             4 ¼” x 5 1/2”

·         Mint Macaron:           2 7/8” x 4 1/8”            2” x 4”                        

·         DSP:                           3 ¾” x 4”      

·         White Velvet        2” x 4“

         

Instructions:

1.    Emboss your 4 ¼” x 5 ½” piece of white with the Merry Melody Embossing Folder. Using Multipurpose Glue adhere to the card base.

2.    Attach the designer paper to the Mint Macaron Mat

3.    Using a strip of ribbon about 3” long adhere to the back of the Mint mat using glue dots. Then make small bow and attach to the front of the card on top of the ribbon with a glue dot.

4.    Attach the Mint Mat to the front of the card using Dimensionals

5.    Cut one of the Trees out of the Snowy White Velvet but before taking the die off add a piece of tear tape to the back to help keep the pieces in place.

6.    Cut another tree using the Mint Macaron and attach to the white Velvet Tree using Multipurpose Glue. Hold down for a minute to make sure it’s adhered.

7.    Attach Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the right side of the tree only, Use Glue on the part that will lay on the Designer Paper so it’s even.

8.    Decorate with a few Rhinestones Basic Jewels.

Sweet As A Peach

Happy Friday!  WOW...this week has dragged on!  The fire is moving slowly...but still moving. I keep praying for rain!  It's still smoky and the air still in the Hazardous Zone....but we keep moving forward.  The sitting around and waiting drives a person crazy so it's best to just keep going as normal as possible! 

Here's another fun tutorial to get your creative juices flowing this weekend!

Sweet as a Peach

Supplies:

·         Stamp Sets – Sweet As A Peach Bundle (155823)

·         Card Stock –Basic White (159276); Basic Black (121045); Pear Pizzazz (131201) Pattern Party Designer Series Paper (155426)

·         Stamp Pads – Memento Tuxedo Black (132708), Real Red (147084), Pear Pizzazz (147104)

·         Misc. – Gilded Gems (152478); Linen Thread (104199); Real Red 3/8” Sheer Ribbon (145667); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Mini Glue Dots (103683); Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755); Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (149653)

           

Measurements: 

·         Basic Black - 5-½” x 8-½” scored at 4-¼”, 1 5/8” x 4 5/8”

·         Pear Pizzazz: 3 7/8” x 5 1/8”

·         Basic White: 3 ¾” x 5” (2)

·         DSP: 1 ½” x 4 ½”

           

Instructions:

1.    Stamp Saying of choice in the lower left corner of the Basic White Layer in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. 

2.    Adhere the Pattern Party DSP to the Basic Black CS.  Wrap layer with 15” of the Real Red 3/8” Shimmer Ribbon, overlapping ribbon ends.  Tie a bow with about 15” of Linen Thread, using the bow to secure the overlapped ends of the Real Red Shimmer Ribbon.

3.    Layer DSP/Basic Black to the Basic White CS and then to Pear Pizzazz CS. Adhere all layers to the card base.

4.    Stamp Peach leaves in Pear Pizzazz ink and 2 sets of the small Peaches (cherries) in Real Ink on the Basic White Layer. Die-cut images with corresponding dies.  Attach leaves and six cherries to card base with dimensionals.

5.    Finish card with three Gilded Gems.

Penguin Place

Hello everyone!  Happy Wednesday!  I hope you are all doing well and are safe!  I'm safe.  The fire near is is about six miles away and we have not been told to evacuate yet.....YAY!  It is suppose to get very windy tomorrow and we are expecting thunderstorms.  I'm praying for lots of rain (we had a HUGE dump the Friday I was away for my anniversary...before the fire).  I'm also praying for no lightening strikes!  The strange thing at this time is knowing what to do with myself.  Do I just concentrate on packing things?  Do I try to do life as normal?  Do I have my classes?  Do I prepare for next month?  I do a lot of wandering around....wondering what I should be doing!  I have decided that I'm going to keep going forward....NORMALLY....planning for the future, preparing for the future while being alert to the current!  I had a class last night, a class this morning and a class next Wednesday.  I'm gonna be like Dory on Finding Nemo (just keep swimming).  My mantra is just keep going!  

So here's a little INSPIRATION for you!  It's COOL and SUPER CUTE!

·         Stamp Pads – Memento Black (132708); Pumpkin Pie (126945); Balmy Blue (147105)

·         Misc. – Penguin Builder Punch (156452); Layering Diorama Dies (155565); Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper- Free Sale-a-bration choice- (158420); Glittered Organdy Ribbon (156408); Subtle Shimmer Sequins (156407); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Stampin’ SEAL (152813); Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755); Paper Snips (103579)

           

Measurements:  

·         Card Stock 1: Thick Basic White- 8 ½” x 5 ½”

·         Card Stock 2: Balmy Blue- 5 ¼” x 4

·         Card Stock 3: Basic White- 4” x 3” for “ice”          + scrap for penguin and sentiment

·         Card Stock 4: Pumpkin Pie- scrap for feet

·         Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper- 5” x 3 ¾”            

           

Instructions:

1.    Score the Thick Basic White card base on the long side at 4 ¼” and fold.

2.    Adhere the Balmy Blue layer to the card front with Stampin’ SEAL.

3.    Die-cut the larger Diorama opening in the designer paper layer and adhere to the card front.

4.    Die-cut a smaller diorama layer in Basic White to make an “ice” block. Then stamp the snowflake image on the ice with Balmy Blue ink. Before you attach the “ice” add a small piece of ribbon to the card and adhere using Stampin’ SEAL. Then, attach the “ice” to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  

5.    Stamp a penguin on Basic White scrap using Memento Black ink. Then, punch him out with the Penguin Builder Punch. Stamp his beak using Pumpkin Pie ink.

6.    Punch two feet with the Pumpkin Pie scrap paper and add them to your penguin using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

7.    Add the penguin to your “ice” block using Stampin’ SEAL and one Stampin’ Dimensional under his head that is hanging off the ice.

8.    Stamp the sentiment on scrap Basic White cardstock and trim to 2 ¾” x 3/8”. Add to the card front with a little Stampin’ SEAL or Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  

To finish the card, add some Subtle Shimmer Sequins using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I usually sprinkle some sequins on the card where I want them then add glue where they land then tap off any extras.
