Framed JOY & Stampin' Up! Online Extravaganza

Good Morning and HAPPY Black Friday!  Are you out there braving the crowds and finding lots of great deals?  I'm not big on shopping in big crowds so I'm at home in my pj's blogging! My husband just asked us if we wanted to go down the mountain, to Redding to see a movie or something...we all said NOOOOO!!! We do have Mountain Magic Christmas tonight.  Our downtown is all decorated for Christmas and the local stores are open late with fun sales, food and drink!  Tomorrow is the Bridge Lighting in Lewiston. There are peddlers selling their goods, hot chocolate, cotton candy and kettle corn booths.  Santa Claus crosses the bridge in his sled and the evening ends with a wonderful fireworks show!  The first time I went I just stood on the bridge and cried....it was so NOSTALGIC.  I was pregnant with our sixth child, we had our other kiddos with us and I just felt like every child should have a chance to experience it...at least once!

Today I want to share a fun gift I made for my roommates at OnStage!  

I found these CUTE frames at Michaels and slipped a 4" X 6" piece of Under the Mistletoe designer paper inside (it's on sale today and tomorrow!).  Next I used my Large Letters Framelits to cut a J & Y from Night of Navy cardstock and attached it to the outside of the frame with dimensional and blinged it up with a couple of Rhinestones.  Next I used Multipurpose glue to attach a Boxwood Wreath to the frame as my O and added a Night of Gingham Ribbon bow and a Linen Thread bow!  Isn't it cute?!  I just love it and need to make one for myself!!

12 Weeks of Christmas - Week Eight - Nothing Sweeter Box

Hello friends!  It's time for another 12 Weeks of Christmas project!  I do hope you are enjoying them and are finding INSPIRATION!

WEEK EIGHT

The Nothing Sweeter Box is a great way to show the people in your life how much you care.  So create this special packaging and fill with your favorite goodies and treats.  While you will certainly be glad you did, it’s another way to share what you love.  Therefore, you can spread some holiday cheer.

Stamp Sets – Nothing Sweeter (147773)
Card Stock – Whisper White (100730); Real Red (102482); 
Stamp Pads – Real Red (147084); Versa Mark (102283)
Misc. – Sweetly Stitched Framelits Dies (147918) Bundle the stamps and dies for a discount (149955); Bakers Boxes (147899); Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate (141653); Layering Circle Framelits Dies (141705); Gold Foil Paper (132622); Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels (146924); Textured Weave Ribbon- Poppy Parade (147813); Gold Embossing Powder (109129); Heat Tool (129053); Mini Glue Dots (103683); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430)

Measurements: 
• Whisper White Cardstock- 4” x 4” 
• Real Red Cardstock- approx. 3 ¼” x 3 ¼”
• Gold Foil Paper- approx. 2” x 2”
• Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate- 4” x 4” above all it’s another

Instructions:

1. First of all, add the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate to the backside of the clear window inside the box using glue dots. Then assemble your Bakers Box. 
2. So stamp 3 snowflakes in Versa Mark on Whisper White Cardstock and sprinkle with Gold Embossing Powder. Also, Heat set with your heat tool. Die cut the snowflakes with the Sweetly Stitched Framelits and a 2 5/8” circle from the Layering Circle Dies at the same time with the same piece of Whisper White Cardstock. 
3. Die cut a tree and the stitched lines at the same time using the Gold Foil Paper. Also, die cut a layering scalloped circle using Real Red cardstock.
4. Stamp the sentiment at the top of the white circle and attach to the red scallop using glue dots. 
5. Tie the ribbon around the center of the box and make a bog bow on top, a little to the side. so another one
6. Add the circle layers to the box with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then, add the tree with another Stampin’ Dimensional and one snowflake with a glue dot. 
7. Finally, add two more snowflakes to the top left corner and a red rhinestone to each snowflake.

Make a WISH with Gallery Grunge, Dandelion Wishes and Broadway Birthday

Hello everyone! WOW!! It's been a busy day with lots of chores to do before the storms hit tomorrow!  This morning we cleaned out the rain gutters, blew all the leaves and pine needles off the roof, deck and porches.  I separated and replanted my peonies and my flower bed is filled with new soil!  I'm tired...my feet hurt but I'm finally showered and ready to go out to dinner...hehehe!  BRING ON THE RAIN!!! YAY!!!

I have a really fun card I've been wanting to share with you for a while now.  It's not Christmas...it's not Thanksgiving...but it's one of my FAVORITES!!

I created this card with two of my favorite stamps sets...Dandelion Wishes and Gallery Grunge!  I also ABSOLUTELY LOVE the Granite Gray cardstock too!  So my card base is Whisper White with a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Granite Gray cardstock that has been embossed with the Pinewood Plank embossing folder, as my first layer.  Next I cut a 3" x 4 1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock and a 2 3/4" X 4" piece of Granite Gray cardstock which has been stamped in the same color of ink with the Gallery Grunge stamp set.  The dandelions are stamped onto a Whisper White, Stitched Circle, cut with the Stitched Shapes framelits. I used my sponge brayer and Bermuda Bay ink pad to color the circle then stamped is with Granite Gray ink and the Dandelion Wishes stamp set.  Make a Wish are stamped with the Broadway Birthday stamp set, also in Granite Gray ink.  I LOVE the Galvanized Clips and thought it was a great addition to my card!  I LOVE how it turned out and hope you do too!

"Make-It Monday" Winter Woods

Good Morning everyone and HAPPY THANKSGIVING WEEK!!! Yesterday my son, Erik and his girlfriend, Robin arrived from Arizona!  It's so great to see them and to have an ENTIRE WEEK to be with them.  Adam and Kate have NO SCHOOL this week as well...YAY!  The rest of my children will trickle in Wednesday or Thursday!  I'm in my HAPPY PLACE having my family together! 

It's Monday, so it's time for this weeks "Make-It Monday" inspiration!  I LOVE the Foil Edged Cards & Envelopes! ENJOY!

"Make-It Monday": WINTER WOODS dinner invitation created with Stampin' Up! products

• STAMPS: Winter Woods (147661 Clear, 147658 Wood)
• PAPER: Silver Foil-Edged Cards & Envelopes (147900), Joyous Noel 6" x 6" Glimmer Paper,  Gray Granite Cardstock (146983), Whisper White Cardstock (100730)
• INK: Tranquil Tide (147146),  Gray Granite (147118)
• OTHER: Tranquil Tide ¼” Velvet Ribbon (147802), Layering Ovals Framelits (141706), Bunch of Banners Framelits (141488), Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (143263), SNAIL Adhesive (104332), Mini Glue Dots (103683), Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430), a good printer than can handle cardstock (I use a laser printer)

Measurements:  

• Gray Granite: 5"x 3-3/4"
• Whisper White: 4-3/4" x 3-1/2" plus scrap about 3" x 1"
• Tranquil Tide Glimmer Paper: scrap at least 2-1/2" x 1"
• Tranquil Tide Velvet Ribbon: 3-3/4"

         
Instructions:

1. Run card base through your printer to create the inside of your invitation.
2. Stamp sentiment on Whisper White scrap with Tranquil Tide ink then die cut with one of the Bunch of Banners Framelits. 
3. Die cut oval from Tranquil Tide Glimmer Paper. Adhere sentiment to oval with Mini Glue Dots. Lay oval in center of Tranquil Tide Velvet Ribbon and adhere with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Set aside to dry. Once dry, trim edges of ribbon on a diagonal.
4. Stamp trees with Gray Granite ink onto Whisper White panel. Adhere to Gray Granite layer with SNAIL Adhesive.
5. Using Stampin' Dimensionals, adhere main focal piece onto card front making sure to not have white area showing beneath where it touches the silver border.
6. Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, adhere ribbon piece onto card front. Allow to dry.

Healing Hugs

Good morning everyone!  Happy Friday!!!  Golly...this week has FLOWN by!  I'm so discombobulated by Thanksgiving being so early this week.  Thanksgiving is also my husbands birthday this year...makes it extra fun!  Today....I'm going to clean my house, fold my clothes and get ready for company and festivities!  Before I get started I want to share one of my November class projects with you!

This card is so beautiful and old fashioned looking!  I just LOVE it!

The Fresh Fig card base is 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4".  The Whisper White layer is 4" X 5 1/4" and the BEAUTIFUL Country Lane designer series paper is 3 1/4" X 5".  

The flower is from the Healing Hugs stamp set.  I wasn't going to get this set, but I've seen some GORGEOUS cards created with it!  i can't wait to play with it in different colors!  The flower is stamped on to a Stitched Shape Circle with Rich Razzleberry ink.  The leaves are stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink. 

After attaching the Country Lane designer paper to the Whisper White layer cardstock, I added some Pear Pizzazz Shimmer Ribbon, tying it into a knot. I tied a bow around the know using Linen Thread.  Next I attached it to my card base and added the stamped circle with dimensionals!  Isn't it LOVELY!

Bethlehem Shadow Box

Good morning!  How's your day coming along?  I just had coffee with a girlfriend so it's coming along great!  

I taught a fun class last night at my church!  We have a monthly meeting where we have dinner and do something FUN!  Last month it was PMS Wednesday and we had Pizza, Movie and Sundaes...it was a blast!  We watched God's Not Dead 2!  November is the month I get to share what I LOVE to do!  No catchy name, but it was a fun night with DELICIOUS soup and a GREAT craft (lol)!!

Here's what we created...an FESTIVE Shadow Box!

This shadow box is 5 X 7 (inside) so you'll need to cut a 5 X 7 piece of Whisper White Thick Cardstock.  Next, stamp the sentiment, from the In His Light stamp set in Granite Gray ink at the very top.  Now, cut a 5 X 5 piece of Night of Navy cardstock and emboss it using the Softly Falling embossing folder.  Attach it to the Thick Whisper White cardstock with Snail Adhesive...starting just under the sentiment.  You may need to trim the bottom of the Night of Navy paper if it hangs over, it depends on high or low the sentiment is stamped!

Cut out the Bethlehem scene with the Bethlehem Edgelits Dies and Silver Foil Sheets of paper and attach them with dimensionals.  Add one big star, cut with the same Dies and Sparkle Glimmer paper.  Attach it with a dimensional as well!  Add a few more stars using your Rhinestone Basic Jewels.  Last, using the Silver Metallic Edged Ribbon, tie a bow just under the sentiment where the Night of Navy cardstock begins!  

I think it turned out BEAUTIFULLY!
