Tuesday's Tip - Butterfly Gala....FUN coloring techniques!

Hello everyone!  I have a FUN video to share today!  ENJOY and give it a try!



Here are samples of of each technique!

Glossy White Cardstock colored with Night of Navy (light & dark), Old Olive (light) and Daffodil Delight (dark) Stampin' Blend Markers. Looking at it now, it needs to be blended better so I'm gonna take my Stampin' Blend Color Lifter and even it out a bit! I'll use it on a card to share in the future!

Shimmery White Cardstock colored with Pacific Point, Old Olive & Daffodil Delight Watercolor Pencils and Aqua Painter.

Whisper White Thick Cardstock colored with Blueberry Bushel & Lemon Lime Twist ink pads and daubers.

Watercolor Paper colored with Blueberry Bushel & Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Write Markers. Color onto an acrylic block, spritz watercolor paper with Rubbing Alcohol (or water) and stamp with block.

"Make-It Monday" Butterfly Gala

Good Morning everyone! WOW! My house is quiet...Adam and Kate went back to school today, my husband is at work...it's a bit lonely, but I'll get lots of stuff done! I hope you all had a great weekend. It snowed a little bit in Weaverville, but not enough. I kept getting severe weather warnings on my phone and was hoping for a lot. We didn't even get an inch!  Oh well...

So...it's Monday, and I have a great "Make-It Monday" to share with you today! Be INSPIRED to create today!

#simplestamping Sunday - Climbing Roses

Good morning everyone!  Well...sadly no snow yesterday, but lots of rain! Here it is Sunday again and it's time for another #simplestamping creation!

I used the Note Cards & Envelope from the Annual Catalog.  Just a reminder, they are only 3 1/2" X 5" which really helps with #simplestamping, because there is less white space!

I used the Climbing Roses stamp set, stamping the background, sentiment and rose in Granite Gray and then coloring the rose in with Light Old Olive and Light Calypso Coral Stampin' Blend markers!  Quick, simple and who wouldn't want to know you were thinking about them?!

Scrappin' Saturday

Good Morning and YAY!! it's Saturday!  I super bummed because there is no snow, but my husband is happy and home...not out keeping the power on in a snowstorm!  I've had four extra kiddos for the last few days and with New Year's, a class and my oldest son's birthday dinner down in Sacramento, I have not had a chance to do a scrapbook page created this week! So today I'm sharing one I made a few years back, all with now retired Stampin' Up! products!

 

This is a great three photo layout! I love stamping on my pages and wanted to show you some simple ways you can use your stamps.  Kate's name and the flowers are stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I also wanted you to see that you can jazz up ribbon by adding embellishments like pearls.  It's an extra fun girly touch! Don't forget to use  your punches & dies as well (like the flowers).

Climbing Rose - I thought of you today!

Hello everyone!  Oh man...I'm kid sitting four extra kids for few days, ages 11, 9, 4 and 1 1/2...golly, I'm tired!  Just got the adorable 1 1/2 year old down for a nap so I'm finally blogging! It's fun having a big bunch of kiddos around again!  

Here's another card from my January classes.  The card base is a 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" piece of Whisper White cardstock.  The Grapefruit Grove piece of cardstock is 4" X 5 1/4" and is embossed with the Subtle embossing folder.  I used Galvanized paper, (which SADLY I didn't realized is not being carried over) and the Rose Trellis thinlit dies for the background and adhered it with Multipurpose Glue!  The sentiment and the flower are stamped in Granite Gray ink using the Climbing Roses stamp set, then cut out with the same Rose Trellis dies. Both are attached with dimensionals. The Rose is colored with a Light Calypso Coral Stampin' Blend. The Rose Trellis Die and the Climbing Roses stamp set can be bundled for a 10% discount! I added a few Basic Pearls to finish the card.  I really love the look!  I'm gonna have to change it up for the next class because I'm out of the Galvanized paper so I think I'll use Silver Foil paper instead!

Amazing Life

Hello everyone! Happy January! Yay!!! My internet was out all day yesterday so I couldn't blog. I have a guy coming out to check it out this morning, and all of a sudden it's working again! I'm QUICKLY going to share a January workshop card with you while it's still up and running! OH...MOUNTAIN LIFE!

I love today's card! The sentiment is how I feel about all the gals that come to my classes and choose me as their demonstrator! You aren't just customers to me...you dear friends and I LOVE our time together!  

Here's how it was done!

My card base is a 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Layer one is a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock that is embossed with the NEW Dot to Dot embossing folder...LOVE IT!  Next, using Shimmery White cardstock, cut a rectangle from the NEW Rectangle Stitched Framelits...A MUST HAVE from the Occasions Catalog.  The wonderful sentiment is from the Amazing Life Stamp Set and is stamped with Memento Black ink and colored with a Granny Apple Green Light Stampin' Blend.  Tie a piece of Coastal Cabana/Granny Apple Green Reversible Ribbon into a know around the stitched rectangle before attaching it with dimensionals.  Finish the card off with Glimmer Dots! Isn't it FUN?  I LOVE the colors!!!
