Needle & Thread

Hello everyone!  It's just starting to snow here....very lightly!  I have a class down the mountain, in Redding today so I'm all loaded in the 4-wheel drive truck just in case!  If it's anything like the last storm...the valley town will get more snow then the mountain town! Always an adventure and NEVER a dull moment!  Oh..and my son got his driver's license yesterday! He bought himself a little red sports car (350Z)...and I'm a nervous wreck! I have to remind my self to give my worries to God!

Here's one of the cards we will be making in class today! It's really simple, but SO  VERY CUTE!!

My card base measures 5 1/2" x 7 1/2" and is scored at 3 1/4".  The Botanical Butterfly Gingham paper (a free Sale-A-Bration) item is 
1 1/4" X 5 1/2".  I used the Needle & Thread Bundle for the sentiment and the stitching on the front of the card!  I just LOVE the look of the stitching...it's a REALLY COOL framelit!

I added a Gingham Gala Sequin with a pearl in the middle to add just a bit of color! 

OH...I almost forgot, I rounded the corner (on one side of the card only) using my Envelope Punch Board!

"Make-It Monday" - Beauty Abounds

Good Morning and HAPPY Monday! The days are all a blur to me. The kids are off of school for the week and my husband is working everyday...I had to look at the calendar to see what day it is today!  YIKES!!! 

Well, it's MONDAY and that means it's time for a "Make-It Monday" project! Its definitely a BEAUTIFUL one!

Scrappin’ Saturday

Hello everyone!   Hope your Saturday was FANTASTIC!!  We woke up to snow and it’s bben snowing off and on all day...it’s so BEAUTIFUL!!!

It’s time for my latest Scrapbook page!  I hope it encourages you to gather up some photos and get some scrapbooking pagers put together!

This page is created with the Botanical Butterfly Designer paper that is a FREE Sale-a-Bration item!  I also used the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Be Mine Stitched Framelits! The stamped images are from the Let It Ride stamp set in Shaded Spruce and Soft Suede ink onto Lemon Lime Twist cardstock.  The hearts are cut from Crum Cake cardstock and there is a double Linen Thread bow tied around one of the hearts...isn’t it a great page?!

That’s it...I’m off to bed...I have a cold that is getting me down!  I’m so tired!!

Botanical Butterfly Calendar Easel

Hello there crafty friends! I'm hoping you're having a FANTASTIC day! Mine has been a bit crazy! I went to spin class this morning, registered for my Greece trip with Stampin' Up!, then to a meeting at church and next to a beginning Zumba class!  Ok...STOP LAUGHING...yes ZUMBA!  Those of you who know me well...know how INCREDIBLY UNCOORDINATED I am at dance moves! I can play sports...but I can't dance!!!  It's so CONFUSING!!!

Well...I'm home now...and blogging!  It's nice to sit down for a minute...my legs are a little bit shaky!

Here's another project from my January classes!  The Basic Black base is 4 1/4" X 11" and scored at 5 1/2". The Whisper White mat is 4" X 5 1/4" and the Botanical Butterfly Designer Paper (which is a FREE SAB item) is 3 3/4" x 5".  I used a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 3/4" X 3 1/2" to stamp the sentiment which is from the Home to Roost stamp set (also a FREE SAB item)! The butterflies are stamped with the Butterfly Gala stamp set in Memento Black ink onto Crushed Curry cardstock and punched out with the Butterfly Duet punch.  I added Rhinestones for a bit of bling and the calendar is from Vippies.com 

Oh...I forgot one important step.  This is not a card...it's an easel.  To make it an easel you'll need a 3" X 4" piece of Basic Black cardstock scored at 1/2", 1 1/2" and 2 1/2". Fold it like a tent with two flaps on each side to stick to the card base....this will make it stand up nicely!  I love these little calendars and I LOVE this designer paper!

Good Morning everyone! WOW! My house is quiet...Adam and Kate went back to school today, my husband is at work...it's a bit lonely, but I'll get lots of stuff done! I hope you all had a great weekend. It snowed a little bit in Weaverville, but not enough. I kept getting severe weather warnings on my phone and was hoping for a lot. We didn't even get an inch!  Oh well...
