"Make-It Monday" - Peaceful Noel

Hello everyone!  I'm a little slow getting going today.  We're having some family difficulties and I just did not sleep well last night...or at all is more like it!  I love my family so much and when it's out of whack it breaks my heart!  I know that I am not in control and I believe in the power of prayer!  I love the quote "If God brings you to it...he'll get you through it"!  For this I am VERY THANKFUL!!

It's time for another "Make-It Monday"...and you're gonna love it!!

Nothing says Happy Labor Day like a Christmas card! ;-) This card was created using TWO new holiday catalog stamp sets available Wednesday, September 5.

Supplies:

Inks:  Versamark (102283), Memento Black (132708), Soft Suede (147115), Old Olive  (147090), Mossy Meadow (147111), Pear Pizzazz (147104)
Paper:  Vellum Cardstock (101856), Crumb Cake (147116), Old Olive (100702), Whisper White (100730)
Other:  Cherry Cobbler Blends Combo Pack (144598), Crumb Cake Blends Combo Pack (144601), Soft Suede Blends Combo Pack (147233), Real Red Blends Combo Pack (147935), Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper (146921),  Clear Rhinestones Basic Jewels (144220), Copper Metallic Thread (141696), Heat Tool (12053), Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder (141636), Wink of Stella Glitter Brush (141897), Snail (104332), Dimensionals (104430)

Measurements:

• Old Olive:  11 x 4 ¼”; scored at   5 ½”
• DSP: 4 x 3”
• Crumb Cake:  4 ¾” x 3”
• Whisper White:  4 ½”  x 2 ¾”
• Vellum: 3 ½” x 1 1/8”
• Thread:  40”

Instructions:

1. Fold the card base.
2. Attach the plaid DSP to the card front.
3. Color 7-9 small rhinestone with the Real Red Dark Blends marker and set aside to dry.
4. Stamp the jug with Memento ink on the white cardstock.
5. Color the jug with the Blends markers.
6. Stamp the greenery from the “Peaceful Noel” stamp set into the jug.  Use the 3 green colors to create the various shades of green. Stamp the branch image with Soft Suede ink.  You can easily line this up with the photopolymer stamps, but you could also create a small mask for the lip of the jar. 
7. Stamp the Berry Branch from the “Love What you Do Stamp set” with Mossy Meadow ink.  Color in some of the Berries with the Cherry Dark Blends marker.
8. Attach the stamped image to the Crumb Cake mat.
9. Stamp the saying with Versamark ink on the Vellum cardstock.
10. Wrap the edges of the vellum cardstock around the Crumb Cake cardstock.  Secure it at the back with Snail adhesive.
11. Add the colored rhinestones to some of the berries.  Use Wink of Stella on the other berries.
12. Make a puddle of copper thread on the card.
13. Attach the image/saying with dimensionals to the front of the card.

Tuesday’s Tip - Starry Night

Hello Everyone!  It's Tuesday and that means it's time for Tuesday's Tip!  I've been wanting to create this card for months now, but something else always comes up!  Today, I decided it's the day!  ENJOY!!  

My 

INSPIRATION
I think in my video I said this was inspired by Claude Monet...YIKES...it's ACTUALLY  by Vincent Van Gogh!!!

My Blueberry Bushel card base measures 5 1/2" X 8 1/2".  The Whisper White layer is 3 7/8" X 5 1/8" and my stamped image is Whisper White and measures 3 3/4" X 5".

The colors I used are Crushed Curry, Mango Melody, Night of Navy, Blueberry Bushel and Memento Black!

The tools that I used are the Twinkle Builder Punch and Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Little Twinkle stamp set.

Last, I used Wink of Stella, Rhinestones and dimensionals!

I added some Wink of Stella to the inside of the card and I think I'll add a few rhinestones!  I LOVE how this card turned out!  It's cool that inspiration can be found in so many different places!

Summer Fun Facebook Hop with Lilypad Lake Bundle - VIDEO

Hello Everyone!  Hoping all is well with you!  I UNPACKED my suitcase today!  YAY...feeling more confident this fire will not get us!  

Last night I was part of a Facebook Hop with a Summer Theme.  We also were challenged to use a circle!  I decided to make a video to show you just how I made my card!  I hope you enjoy it and that you'll share it with a friend!

Tuesday’s Tip - Waterfront Series - Tropical Moonlight

Good Morning everyone!  Do you ever find in life that some days are smoother than others?  Yesterday was one of those days and I was so very grateful!  I spent the morning cleaning house because we had home group last night (well...we were suppose to but it ended up being cancelled but not until 4:00pm) but the house is clean.  I finished just in time to get Adam & Kate to go to hair appointments...but Adam couldn't go because he got a call for a job interview.  I picked Kate up from school and dropped her off at the salon, picked Adam up from school and took him to his interview.  We prayed together for calmness before he went in and that he'd get the job. Kate called...she was finished, went to pick her up, stopped at store for a snack, but Adam called and he was finished.  This all happened in 30 minutes.  Adam got the job...YAY!!! Kate got a haircut, Adam did too after all...our stylist called and she was able to move an appointment up and move him down!  Another REALLY cool thing was that I already had dinner made and ready to cook....it was DELICIOUS, a new recipe for Chicken Cordon Bleu!  I LOVE it when LIFE JUST WORKS OUT....and I AM GRATEFUL!

Well...it's time for Tuesday's Tip! I hope you enjoy this tutorial.  It's one of my favorite cards!  I have one more Waterfront video ready for next week then I have some other fun things to share with you!  BE INSPIRED!!

Here's the actual card! Isn't it BEAUTIFUL??  I LOVE IT!! 

My Basic Black card base  is 8 1/2" X 5 1/2".  The stamped image is a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Shimmery White cardstock.  After stamping I adhered it to a 4 1/8" X 5 3/8" Whisper White cardstock and then to the Basic Black card base! To finish it up, I brushed Clear Wink of Stella over the ocean to make it sparkle even more!

"Make-It Monday" Half Full

Good morning! Here we are Monday again! Boy did the weekend go by fast! Hope yours was TERRIFIC!! We went and cut down our Christmas tree! It's a tradition that I love, but haven't been able to do every year because of weather and my husband being called out for power outages. This year it was a BEAUTIFUL day, we found our tree pretty quickly and then went on an adventure drive! We ended the fun with a cheeseburger at one of our FAVORITE burger joints called The Yellow Jacket! Oh man do they make a DELICIOUS burger!

I have a "Make-It Monday" to share with you today...ENJOY!!

• Stamp Sets: Half Full (144996-wood mount rubber or 144999-clear mount rubber)
• Card Stock: Whisper White (100730); Rich Razzleberry (115316)
• Stamp Pads: Rich Razzleberry (126950); Memento Tuxedo Black (132708)
• Misc: Stampin’ Blends: Rich Razzleberry Dark (144583) Light (144584), Old Olive Dark (144573), Light (144574), Ivory (144606), Cherry Cobbler Dark (144575), Bronze (144607); Wink of Stella (141897); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Foam Adhesive Strips (141825)

Measurements:

• Whisper White: 5” x 3 3/4”; 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”; 4” x 5 1/4” for the inside.
• Rich Razzleberry: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored at 4 1/4”

Instructions:

1. Score and fold the Rich Razzleberry card base at 4 1/4” and adhere the 4” x 5 1/4” piece inside.
2. Stamp the sentiment in the upper right of the 5” x 3 3/4” panel and adhere it to the front of the card.
3. On the remaining piece of Whisper White, stamp two wine bottles and two glasses and the grapes from the corner of the wine tag.
4. With the Stampin’ Blends, color one wine bottle in Old Olive with a Cherry Cobbler top and the other wine bottle with Rich Razzleberry and Bronze top. Color the wine glasses with Rich Razzleberry and Ivory. Stamp the grapes with Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive.
5. Fussy cut the pieces as shown. Add Foam adhesive strips to the bottles and Stampin’ Dimensionals to the glasses and grapes.
6. Place the pieces on the card as shown.
7. Add Wink of Stella to the bottle tops, the wine and the grapes.
8. On the inside panel (not shown here), stamp a row of the small wine glasses and color with the Ivory and Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends. If desired, add the sentiment “May your Glass Always be Half Full.”

Remember, you do not have to invent the wheel to be creative, just copy this project! Did you make it with your own hands? Then you have created!
