Tuesday's Tip - Reflected Image

Hello Everyone!  Welcome to Tuesday's Tip!  I hope you are all well and having fun creating!

I tried a new technique today and boy was it fun!  I hope you'll give it a try!

Here's the finished card!  I used the second to the largest Rectangle Stitched Framelit and the largest Stitched So Sweetly framelits. The colors I used are Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Balmy Blue, Shaded Spruce, Soft Suede and Pool Party.  I also tied some Linen Thread into a bow around the card base!  Oh...and I used one of my FAVORITE stamp sets...Waterfront!  I LOVE IT and I can't wait to play some more with this technique! 

Don't forget to get some acetate! Stampin' Up! Window Sheets are $5.00 and you get 2 12" x 12" sheets.  You can clean the piece you use and re-use it over and over!

Tuesday’s Tip - Waterfront Series - American Flag

Good morning everyone! Happy Monday and Memorial Day!  Did you know that Memorial Day was originally called Decoration Day and that it started after the Civil War to honor the union and confederate dead.  Although we enjoy an extra day off of work, it's more than just a three day weekend.  It's a day of remembrance for all those who have died serving in the American armed forces.

Today is Monday, but I want to share my last Waterfront Tuesday's Tip!  You'll understand why when you watch the video!  Have a wonderful day and take a moment to remember!

Here's a still of the card and the envelope.  The card base is Whisper White. The stamped image is a 3 3/4" X 5" piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock.  After stamping I adhered it to a 3 7/8" X 5 1/8" piece of Silver Foil paper. Next I adhered it to a 4" X 5 1/4"  Basic Black cardstock and then to the Whisper White card base!

I used the Loyal & True stamp set to stamp the soldier onto the flag as well as the sentiment onto another piece of Silver Foil paper. The sentiment is heat embossed with black embossing powder. I then used the Everyday Label Punch to cut it out and knotted a piece of 1/8" Silver Ribbon behind the sentiment and attached to the card with dimensional.  I also stamped the flap of the envelope.

I LOVE how it turned out!  I LOVE all thing patriotic, so this was especially fun for me to create!  I hope you'll give it a try!

Tuesday’s Tip - Waterfront Series - Tropical Moonlight

Good Morning everyone!  Do you ever find in life that some days are smoother than others?  Yesterday was one of those days and I was so very grateful!  I spent the morning cleaning house because we had home group last night (well...we were suppose to but it ended up being cancelled but not until 4:00pm) but the house is clean.  I finished just in time to get Adam & Kate to go to hair appointments...but Adam couldn't go because he got a call for a job interview.  I picked Kate up from school and dropped her off at the salon, picked Adam up from school and took him to his interview.  We prayed together for calmness before he went in and that he'd get the job. Kate called...she was finished, went to pick her up, stopped at store for a snack, but Adam called and he was finished.  This all happened in 30 minutes.  Adam got the job...YAY!!! Kate got a haircut, Adam did too after all...our stylist called and she was able to move an appointment up and move him down!  Another REALLY cool thing was that I already had dinner made and ready to cook....it was DELICIOUS, a new recipe for Chicken Cordon Bleu!  I LOVE it when LIFE JUST WORKS OUT....and I AM GRATEFUL!

Well...it's time for Tuesday's Tip! I hope you enjoy this tutorial.  It's one of my favorite cards!  I have one more Waterfront video ready for next week then I have some other fun things to share with you!  BE INSPIRED!!

Here's the actual card! Isn't it BEAUTIFUL??  I LOVE IT!! 

My Basic Black card base  is 8 1/2" X 5 1/2".  The stamped image is a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Shimmery White cardstock.  After stamping I adhered it to a 4 1/8" X 5 3/8" Whisper White cardstock and then to the Basic Black card base! To finish it up, I brushed Clear Wink of Stella over the ocean to make it sparkle even more!

Tuesday’s Tip - Waterfront Series - City Scapes Scene

Hello Everyone!  It's time for Tuesday's Tip and I have another video using the Waterfront stamp set!  I have two more after this to share then I'll be working on some projects with sets from the new 2018-2019 catalog.  If you need one, please let me know!

I hope you're inspired to use the Waterfront stamp set in different ways...it's so versatile and fun!  It's a MUST HAVE set for sure!

Here are the measurements for this card!  I hope you'll try it!

My Basic Black card base  is 8 1/2" X 5 1/2".  The stamped image is a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Watercolor cardstock.  After stamping I adhered it to a 4 1/8" X 5 3/8" Whisper White cardstock and then to the card base!  

The colors I used are Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Memento Black, Marina Mist, Dapper Denim and Tempting Turquoise.  Have FUN!!!

Tuesday’s Tip - Waterfront Series - Alpine Lake Scene

Good Morning everyone!  It's time for Tuesday's Tip and I have another Waterfront video to share with you!  I accidentally posted the Tropical Sunset card again this morning, but it's deleted now (don't want it on there twice), and I uploaded the right one.  

I love to hike...especially destination hike, meaning I love to get to something when I hike...a waterfall, a lake.  Luckily I live in a place where there is fantastic hiking.  It's actually since I've moved to my little mountain town that I discovered the love of hiking.  Anyways...I'm surrounded by the Trinity Alps and there are over 100 alpine lakes in the alps...I've been to 23 of them!  I have lots more hiking to do! 

Today, I'd like to share a video from my Waterfront class where we created a beautiful Alpine Lake!

My Pool Party card base  is 8 1/2" X 5 1/2".  The stamped image is a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Watercolor cardstock.  After stamping I adhered it to a 4 1/8" X 5 3/8" Whisper White cardstock and then to the card base!

Here's an still photo of the card we created at my class.  I added a happy birthday sentiment because I needed a birthday card! 

Here are the measurements.  My Perfect Plum card base  is 8 1/2" X 5 1/2".  The stamped image is a 3 1/2 " X 4 1/2 piece of Whisper White cardstock.  After stamping I adhered it to a 3 5/8" X 4 5/8" Perfect Plum cardstock. Last, I attached it to a 3 3/4" X 4 3/4" piece of Whisper White.

Don't forget the inside of your card...it's a little detail, but adds a bunch!

Tuesday’s Tip - Waterfront Series Tropical Sunset

Good Morning everyone! WOW...it's cold where I live and I'm heading to a baseball game...on the coast!  It's in a GROOVY little town called Ferndale...I LOVE it!  I'm going early because it has some FUN places to shop! It's a 2 1/2 hour drive so I better get busy!  I hope you have a TERRIFIC day and are inspired to create by today's video!

Here's a photo of the finished card in case you want to save it!  The colors I used for the sky are Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry.  The mountains are stamped in Soft Suede and the palm trees are stamped in Memento Black Ink!  The water is Island Indigo and Perfect Plum! 

Now for the measurements .  My Whisper White cardstock  is 8 1/2" X 5 1/2".  The stamped image is 3 1/2 " X 4 1/2 piece of Shimmery White cardstock.  After stamping I adhered it to a 3 5/8" X 4 5/8" piece of Whisper White cardstock. Last, I attached it to a 3 3/4" X 4 3/4" piece of Island Indigo cardstock.

For the inside of the card I stamped a small image in the corner of a 3 3/4" X 5" piece of Whisper White cardstock and matted it onto a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Island Indigo cardstock.  

Isn't it a BEAUTIFUL card!

Tuesday's Tip - Waterfront Series....Desert Scene

Hello everyone! Thanks for stopping by today!  It's Tuesday's Tip time and I have a great video to share with you!  This weekend I am having a class centered around the Waterfront stamp set and I'm super excited! Here you'll see one of the cards we will be making!  I'm going to do a series of videos of projects created with the set! I hope you subscribe to my YouTube channel so you miss any!

Today's video will show you how to stamp a beautiful dessert scene! ENJOY!!

Here is the finished card and I also wanted to share the measurements of the layers!

My Whisper White cardstock  is 8 1/2" X 5 1/2".  The stamped image is 3 1/2 " X 4 1/2 piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock.  After stamping I adhered it to a 3 5/8" X 4 5/8" piece of Whisper White cardstock. Last, I attached it to a 3 3/4" X 4 3/4" piece of Cajun Craze cardstock.

Here is the inside of the card.  The first layer is a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock measuring 4" X 5 1/4" and the Whisper White stamped image measures 3 1/4" X 5".

After I stamped the inside I thought this would be really cool stamped on a Stitched Circle, maybe framed and added to a card front!  FUTURE PROJECT!
