Scrappin' Saturday

Hello everyone!  Here it is, Saturday, and I have another scrapbook page to share with you!  I'm so excited to be getting some scrapbooking time!  I hope it inspires you to get your photos out and get a page or two completed!!!

The 12" X 12" background paper is from the Festive Farmhouse designer paper.  I really love the wood grain!  There's a strip of stars on there that is from the same paper pack.  I also used Coastal Cabana, Real Red, Gray Ganite and Whisper White cardstock.  I embossed the strips and the half circle with the Corrugated, Softly Falling, Swirls & Curls and Subtle embossing folders!  I LOVE the different textures!

The ornament is from the Detailed Baubles Thinlits Dies using Sparkle Glimmer paper.  I tied bows with Gray Granite Textured Weave Ribbon, Real Red Cotton Ribbon and Silver Baker's Twine.  The Noel sentiment is stamped with the Peaceful Noel stamp set, in Real Red ink onto a Whisper White stitched square that I cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  I added a few pearls to finish it off!  I LOVE it!!!!

Masculine Cards...Simple and Festive

Hey there everyone!  I hope you're having a FANTASTIC day!  I'm watching it rain...listening to music from back in the day and blogging!  What could be better?  I had a great class yesterday down in Redding!  Such a great group of friends!  Here are two of the cards that we made, both make great masculine cards and come together quickly! 

The Whisper White card base measures 5 1/2" X 8 1/2".  The Basic Black layer is 4 1/8" X 5 1/8" and is embossed with the Corrugated Embossing Folder!  Use the Touches of Texture stamp set to stamp on the Stitched Circle with Slate Gray ink.  Cut another circle from Basic Black cardstock, emboss it with the Subtle embossing folder and attach it to the stamped circle.  The sentiment is cut with the Happy Birthday Thinlit from Galvanized Metallic paper and attached with multi-purpose glue.  Last I added a couple of Clear Epoxy Droplets.

This second card uses a Gold Foil Edge card base (with matching gold foil edged envelope).  Cut a 3 3/4" X 5" piece of Merry Merlot cardstock for your first layer. Next, use the Winter Woods stamp set and Granite Gray ink to stamp the trees onto a 3 1/2" X 4 3/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock (or choose Shimmery White cardstock for some sparkle). Before attaching it to the card base tie a bow with the Merry Merlot & Copper reversible ribbon.   Simply BEAUTIFUL!!!

"Make-It Monday" Bouquet Blooms

Hello everyone!  Here it is Monday again!!  How was your weekend?  It sure did go by fast!!  I guess that's because school started today!  Adam is in 11th grade and Kate is in 8th grade!  I can't believe how fast they are growing up! It's a busy morning at my house... I had a hair appointment this morning...a cut and a highlight...the farrier came...AND they are putting the septic tank for my workshops bathroom in today!  YAY!!! EXCITING TIMES!!

• Stamp Set: Bouquet Blooms (146503) or bundle with dies (148403)
• Cardstock and Paper: Big Plans Memories & More Card Pack (146863), Pineapple Punch (146971), Calypso Coral (122925), Whisper White (100730)
• Ink: Pineapple Punch (147141), Calypso Coral (147101), Gray Granite (147118)
• Miscellaneous: Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (143263), Gatefold Blossom Framelits (146354) or choose the bundle with stamp set (148403), Stitched Shapes Framelits (145372), Subtle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (143706), Share What You Love Artisan Pearls (146927), Calypso Coral ¼” Ombre Ribbon (144235), SNAIL Adhesive (104332), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Paper Snips (103579), household tape

Measurements:

• Pineapple Punch card base: 11” x 4-1/4”, scored at 5-1/2” then folded in half plus scrap that is about 3-1/2” x 3-1/2”
• Calypso Coral: 3-3/4” x 5”, scrap about ½” x 4-3/4”, and a scrap about 2” x 6”
• Memories & More card: trim to 3-1/2” x 4-3/4”
• Whisper White: scrap about 2-1/4” x 2-1/4”
• Ribbon: about 6” and a piece about 9”

Instructions:

1. Run Pineapple Punch card base and Calypso Coral ½” x 4-3/4” scrap side-by-side through Subtle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder using Big Shot. Set aside.
2. Adhere Memories & More card piece to Calypso Coral cardstock with SNAIL Adhesive then do the same to adhere the ½” strip over the center horizontally.
3. Wrap 6” length of ribbon across the ½” strip after applying a dab of SNAIL to the center front (to keep it in place) and a short strip of SNAIL on each side of the back of the Calypso Coral cardstock to also keep in place. Secure back ends with household tape.
4. Stamp large circle image in Pineapple Punch ink onto same color cardstock.
5. Stamp sentiment on Whisper White scrap then accent with Pineapple Punch curly-q’s.
6. Die cut both with appropriately sized Stitched Shapes Framelits (3” and 1-7/8”)
7. Wrap the 9” length of ribbon around Pineapple Punch piece and knot at left edge. Trim edges at an angle with Paper Snips so they peek out of left side at least 1”
8. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, adhere Whisper White sentiment piece to top of Pineapple Punch circle.
9. Stamp three flowers with Calypso Coral ink onto same cardstock. Die cut flowers with Gatefold Blossoms Framelits. Using SNAIL adhere two flowers directly onto Pineapple Punch circle at left. Using a touch of SNAIL on right edge of 3^rd flower as well as one Stampin’ Dimensional on left side, adhere so that it’s in the center and overlaps the two beneath it.
10. Affix the So Saffron Artisan Pearls to center of flowers.
11. Using 4 Stampin’ Dimensionals, adhere the center piece to card front.
