Beautiful Peacock

Good morning everyone!  I hope your day is going GREAT!  Let me just say this about mine...BEING A PARENT IS HARD AND SOMETIMES DISCOURAGING!!  Okay...it's out...I said it...I can now BREATHE and RELAX...and maybe eat a cupcake!

I did have a fantastic class last night! Eight delightful ladies joined me to make four lovely cards!  I'll be sharing them with you next week! Today I have another February class project to share (and one more tomorrow)!  I hope you'll be INSPIRED!

This card is made with the Beautiful Peacock stamp set which is free (with a $50 purchase before tax and shipping) during Sale-a-Bration!  My card base is Elegant Eggplant.  I cut a 2" X 4 1/8" piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock and added texture using one of the Petal Pair embossing folders. I tied a piece of Whisper White 1/4" Organza Ribbon around the embossed cardstock then adhered it to my card base.  Next I stamped my image onto a 4" X 4" piece of Whisper White cardstock.  The body is Tranquil Tide with the feathers in Elegant Eggplant. The swirly feathers are in Bermuda Bay and Dapper Denim which sadly will be retiring soon! I stamped the sentiment (from the same stamp set) in Elegant Eggplant then mounted the stamped image onto a 41/8" X 4 1/8" piece of Basic Black cardstock.  I then attached this piece to my card base using dimensionals and overlapping the Bermuda Bay slightly.  I also stamped some of the swirly feathers on the inside of the card, but FAILED to take a picture...it'd be really cute to stamp some swirls on the envelope too!
